Successfully caught up and its only a bit past MN!

I had an interesting day. Went to the farmer's market with a friend. I took my little girl with me. She got LOTS of attention! There was a little Frenchie who wanted to get "better acquainted" with her but she wasn't having it! 😆😅

After the market, we went to the hot shop we visited last week to pick up the pieces we made. We had a glass blowing class; I made a wavy bowl. It turned out SO cool! Here are some pics. One is top down; the other is the side.

Had a very productive day.

✅ modified my gas cans and filled them up at the gas station
✅ fixed the flat on my lawn tractor
✅ cut up two ash trees. Loaded them up onto the trailer and brought them back to the farm yard.
✅ brought the log splitter back down to the farm
✅ weed whacked the yard
✅ fed our neighbors cats
✅ swam (naked of course)
✅ went to another Neighbor’s party
✅ left and I had another friend come over our place

My back is fucked.

Left out: "getting dressed before going to the neighbor's," "shocked neighbors call the police," "getting arrested and tooken to jail in a smelly old raincoat," and "Mrs. Wonderer came to bail me out."


Otherwise, that is a most impressive list.

Maybe we should get her a web channel and video her life. Ethyl: crunching some kibble and then settling in for a 6-hour nap. Ethyl purring and sounding like a bird. Ethyl snoring - she does. Ethyl swatting the other cats.


I'm gonna have a lap full of Ethyl hair but the time I get there. She projectile sheds in the truck.

You know, I understand my trip(s) there. I never understand hers. As this place slowly swirls down the wormhole into Creation In The Image Of Zuckerberg, it gets a bit more laughable every week.

When people would whine how they couldn't take a patient because they were sooooo busy.... I would ask them to list what they had to do.... if they could give me a reasonable list I would take the patient admit them and get them going so all they had to do was check on them after they caught up... especially if close to shift change... or I would offer to take their shittiest task and do it so they could take the admit....most of the time that worked or they couldn't name what was slowing them down and would give in. I NEVER complained about an admit and I always got the best easiest payients... the more you complain the worse they are....

I will say there no arrests


The whole month of June, was rain or a friend from out of town visiting, then my army reunion weekend then more rain.

I have 4-5 more cords of wood to split before firewood season.

And I am not 20 anymore.

I've always been fascinated by glassblowing!
 
Finally had lunch w momma. She’s starting to worry about the procedure after keeping a stiff upper lip for the last couple of months. I didn’t think it was affecting me until we started going through some papers and she was showing me some hiding places of odds and ends.đŸ„ș. To top it off, we went to visit my mother’s last living sibling (she was youngest of six) who’s in assisted living
but thinks he’s going to rise up like a Phoenix and go home. My cousin did gift me a bait casting rod&reel thereby saving me $100+
so, that was cool.

The heat, the emotional drain of coming to terms with momma’s situation, I took the afternoon off and watched Field of Dreams on Turner Classic. Seemed like a perfect movie. The scene where Doc “Moonlight” Graham crosses the line to save the little girl
gets me every time.

All my Tea Tree and Castile soaps came in flooding in from the U.S. Mail, so after some backyard casting w the new reel, I mixed up the potion (minus the 1% Hydro-Peroxide
Walgreens didn’t have it) I decimated the spider mite infestation. Hunkering down this a.m. to watch the F1 Austrian GP
Everyone havre a great Sunday.

I feel your pain.... my mom and I trip felt like a goodbye tour... it is scary.... thinking one day i will be an orphan
