ALL of our birds have disappeared from our feeders, almost 2 months ago and neither of us (Goddess or myself) can figure out why...

Avian flu is back, that might be it. Turkey is going to be expensive, not to mention eggs.

Regarding poultry, I only eat chicken. It reduces my blood sugar and being diabetic it's important for me...

Relatively. No coat, hat, mitten, wool socks or winter trousers. I came here in August for a two week style. I do have the have a hoodie.
I don’t have the winter kit in the car, except Australia bites, water and dried yam pieces.

Might have a predator? Hawk or owl possibly? Even a feral non-native killing machine (kitty) can do it? Or the species you normally see have flown south?

Sorry to hear about your momma BTW. I was hearing some things over the last month from mine when her pain was up to 11, but talking to her the last couple of days she’s very upbeat.

I just worry about her cancer coming back…and her broken back…and her climbing out of windows

Thanks! We've looked a bunch, but haven't spotted any new predators, as we already have hawks and owls, no new cats, the snakes are in hibernation....

Yes, the aging process can be hard to watch, explain and understand...

The birds are hungry again too.

Guess it's time to put the winter shoes on the cars again. Probably today's project.

Only just above freezing. Most of the snow on the sidewalk melted. The only is lake effect snow. I am too far from the lakes to get anything but flurries now.

It’s snowing here. Winter storm warning starts at 9 pm, I’m hoping the lake might help mitigate that.
I’ve got cleats, hiking boots and a sweater with me. Back home up north only had a dusting.
