The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I am not a programmer but stayed at a holiday inn express once and a friend of mine was an earlier coder from the 1980s.

He said the process of examining code was called “taking a dump.” Because you had to dump all of the code into a file. I think it was called a dump file.

Anyway that’s what he called it and it reminds me of what you are doing… examining code.
I love that expression... so apt!
So - I took a huge dump yesterday... found what the programmer missed and validated the rest.
Today? Programmer sent the updated code.
I responded asking who from our org would do the validations today - so as to avoid duplication of efforts.
So far - zero response.
Guess I know who's gonna end up taking a massive dump later today.

I twisted my ankle yesterday. The embarrassment is I don’t know how I did it. Ibuprofen and ankle brace helps. This mishap and posts about skiing reminded me of my younger days as an avid cross country skier. I was humbled when challenged to a trail in a State park that had hills and turns at the end of a steep one. No matter how well I snow plowed down the hill, the bottom curve put me on my ass! 😂.

Gonna try for a quick catch up...
My nephew just called. His girlfriend broke up.with him... she wasnt ready for a relationship. She was sort of cold and i.was wortied this would happen
And the night before a typical "couples holiday", too? Nice timing.
Well, better he finds out now while it's just dating?? Still sucks 🫂
Tea is it for me...strong matcha...straight...
Order Up!

It’s good to be home though and have my boys back

No matter how good the trip, that first night back home in your own bed? 👨‍🍳 🤌
Wishing one an all a happy happy New Year. I got back from my trip a bit early. I did get to shovel a bit of snow. Hope all are well. Nice to jump into the chat to a cup of joe!
Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip!
I am only trying to be a PITA, There are a lot of things that are bad for me that I don't resist.
Achievement Unlocked
Yoh sound like you have your hands full!
Good luck with upgrades and system stuff!!
Good luck with all of it!
Magic Hour is 5pm Central 🤞
I have to work to gain weight
Had a co-worker who struggled to keep her weight at a healthy number. It's just as much a struggle as trying to lose weight. And you have to be careful to do it in such a way that you don't trash your health. 🫂
I started drinking matcha tea at night. I like it. Almost has a peppery taste.
Even with the caffeine? Brave man... might explain the 3am club a bit??
"Pissy Tea"?
If memory serves that’s how he described it. I dunno why.

But I do recall it was very light in color w lots of milk I think…

What happened was my the right ski stayed on and the ski somehow went up the back of my jacket getting trapped there.
You got off lucky, my friend! That sounds horrifically painful... and scary!
Hilarious only once your safety was ascertained LOL
I miss snow skiing, I recall looking out over the mountains. Killing ton, and thinking I would stay there and not go back to work. I went back but I could easly have been a "Snow Bum".
My godfather was of a like mind. So he worked out a plan where he phased into retirement. Regular job in the summer, ski instructor in Colorado in the winter... then transitioned into full-time ski instructor for about a decade more. He's fully retired now, but I'm sure he still gets on the slopes once in a while.
I worked for a British company here in the US. We had one Brit that would leave his tea bag in the cup as he drank it. I know some people time it and my sister wants the bag dipped in after the water is poured, not in the cup as you pour the water in.
Step away now... O.M.G.!
Very strong opinions on the proper way to make a cuppa. If you thought the Pop vs Soda Wars were bad???
It's so nice to be wanted even if only for my backhoe.

Youse shoulda seen Bo make extremely short work of the heavy lifting around here this week. It's his raison d'etre . . . .
No just Bo... I mean, there's the clouder, too  JK - but Bo is a very attractive part of the package if I do say so...
Have a great day today OM. It's a holiday or something isn't it? Lol

I skied a lot in my 20s. But then I got frustrated by how crowded it was and how expensive. I literally haven’t been in 30 years.

And now I’m just old with bad ankles and knees.

I do miss the freedom and movement. It was a great core workout.
Too rich for my blood. Close family friends gave us a pair of cross country skis one winter. We didn't have much snow that year. By the next winter my feet were too big for the boots. 🤷‍♀️
This little feller paid my mom’s neighbor a visit last year. Be careful!
Merciful heavens, no!
Metaphorical alligators for me tyvm LOL

Ya know... if I had a good snowsuit, I would 💯 join them right there for a puppy pile nap!!
sorry you missed out on dinner. my fave Vietnamese place is family run... same deal. And I see how hard they work and all the hours they are open... no complaints if they close early on slow nights or bad weather days. Good on them!
He is ok.... he is very emotionally mature and she is not. Het parents are sort of emotionally detached too
Glad he'll be okay. :poop: timing, too.
I have done no work today...except i have held my chair down
This is very important work you're doing today, @Missk_2022 !! *nods*
Oh good... I'm not alone :ROFLMAO:
So far - zero response.

I should hang a neon palm reading sign
When they did respond - guess who they asked to validate? At least it was abbreviated in comparison to yesterday's... and the programmer thanked me for finding the lines that needed corrections. So there's that...
No matter how well I snow plowed down the hill, the bottom curve put me on my ass!
Oh, no! Hope it heals up quick!
I am very familiar with that position in regard to winter sports. :ROFLMAO:
Tractor Supply Corp., ya silly chillrun.

My nephew provided the fun and excitement for his former g/f while she was an undergrad. Got her sheepskin and dumped him like a blivet. That was likely her plan all along, I reckon.

Users gonna use I guess

Sorry to hear…🫤😞

Take a dump on them…

I've been missing out here lately. Too much $hit to do...

Spent the morning sorting out some code routines. Not dumps, this is the fresh end (input)... ;)

Then decided to detail the tractor. The cabin was still full of weeds and dirt and crap from summer, so blowing snow was still messing with my allergies. Complete teardown of the cabin and wipe/wash everything. Found a couple kernels of deer corn, and one that had been partially chewed. Fortunately no other sign. For the record I HATE MICE! There's a few ketchall traps in the garage to help, but I think I need to add some 'chemical' deterrent' too.
The cabin smells all lemony fresh now!

Once the floor mat dries, I'll put that back in and move it over to cold storage. No blowing snow with a tractor that's been in a warm garage. Sticks to everything!
