I am in Toronto today and we got 35 cm (14” of snow in downtown). But I will say everyone here is pretty hearty and a lot of people showed up to work.

Reminds me of working in an area "lake effect" is a thing. I had just poured my first cup of coffee and the city already had the roads cleared, and was running thr side walk snow plows

Thats exactly whats happening today Lake Effect snow.. The Cold Air blows over the warm Great Lakes and just Hoovers up the moisture and dumps it as snow down wind.

Yeah, it’s weird. usually, I think about lake effects now on the eastern side of the Great Lakes or the southern side of the Great Lakes. But this storm is going from north to south and gather all kinds of moisture over the lake and dumping it right over Ontario.

I have to admit it’s been kind of fun, not having to drive in it or deal with it outside

Computer engineering, but i had to take all the engineering basics, so lots of physics and math and how forces affect bodies.
