The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Afternoon, spoonies
Busy day here... L2 Busy... I can't keep up with most of you lot 😂
Caught up reading... let's check in and see what you're all doing today...

Thanks... I tried to include a mix of credible sources as well as some forums. I'm less hesitant to include the forum sites for topics like these as they tend to have a lot of vets and military history buffs

Laugh :ROFLMAO: Life's too short for too many big, heavy sighs

Same. Felt like a fad. 🤷‍♀️ Plus, the authentic ones are imported and very expensive.

Every time I see a pic - that's my first impression of the filling 😬

Delicious! My SIL makes ones that look just like that except she's a cherry person

🫂 Makes for a Very Long Day
I hope they were thankful you picked up... and hope you got some OT for that call.

One of my favorite shirts...

Blink, Blink, Blink
What? You said they were for blinking.

Single digits here... I did wear my gloves today. Will it make you more cold to know my coat was a combo? Hoodie and fleece-lined quilted jacket? 🤭
Yes, it is all relative.

Seconded - provided those nominated are in agreement 😁

OMG - tried that once...
Did not work well in the library. Either you have an inappropriate ringtone for the venue or your phone is on vibrate and all the calls sound the same again. :ROFLMAO:

Oooh, I like his outfit, too. 😂

Grills and smokers... although that content has dropped off a bit with the change of season.
Is it a Midwest thing? To grill and smoke all year round?

Or ask them... do they know who carries it... or can they order some in special?
Doesn't hurt to ask - worst they can do is say, "no". Same result if you don't ask 🤷‍♀️

😂 Elvis and @Wonderer67... both The Pelvis!!

I'm so proud of you!! Kicking ass at your training AND trying something new on top of it!! You rock!!

😊 Aww, thanks... I'm blushing.

🙌 Way to go!!

 Why would you?!?
Kittehs are so innocent and polite! 🤭

Welcome Back! Missed you... hope you're feeling better, too!!

You, too!! 🤗

Very glad Ben's post-op report is good 🫂

I'll see that the med kit is properly stocked with (extra) duct tape IYKYK
(You know who you are!! :ROFLMAO: )

Challenge will be to keep him still enough, long enough for good healing.
Best thoughts for a great outcome, @Greylag

💯 agree

How was that not 10k characters? Wow!

@Wonderer67 @HumpDayHoratio and other tank buffs... have you seen there's a new movie out?
Der Tiger (The Tank) - German film
It's on Amazon Prime... not sure where else.
Shocker - I haven't watched it yet
TW: unknown but likely numerous

That’s a tiger (panzerkampfwagen 6)

BTW - the literal translation in English is armored war wagon. German is a very literal language w many compound words.

Do you remember that episode of the Brady Bunch when they went to Hawaii and Peter got the cursed idol?

If I’m not mistaken, Vincent Price was the bad guy in that two parter
The Brady Bunch traveled to Hawaii for a three-episode story arc at the start of Season 4.
Episodes: The vacation spans Season 4, episodes 1 through 3, which originally aired in September and October 1972.
"Hawaii Bound" (S4, E1): Bobby finds the cursed tiki idol at a construction site.
"Pass the Tabu" (S4, E2): The curse continues, and Peter is famously spooked by a giant tarantula while wearing the idol.
"The Tiki Caves" (S4, E3): The boys attempt to return the idol to an ancient burial ground to break the curse.
Vincent Price: Yes, Vincent Price appeared in the final two parts of this trilogy ("Pass the Tabu" and "The Tiki Caves"). He played Professor Hubert Whitehead, an eccentric and paranoid archaeologist who holds the boys hostage in a cave because he believes they are trying to steal his discoveries.
Brady Bunch Fandom: Hawaii

We shall see. I’m treated now so maybe it won’t be so bad.

BTW @likes2watchU - this is a tiger tank.
Of course it fucking is... hence the German title Der Tiger  :ROFLMAO: 😂

 wonder what my odds are of a cat attacking with a tank in the Midwest... hmm

I also remember Greg surfing with the tabu and wiping out and not coming up to the surface for a long time.

I totally remember the giant tarantula!😂

Today was a good day.

I got up early because we sold out of all of our firewood over the week. I filled up all the bins in the wood stand and properly sold half of it right away.

It started snowing so came back home and just wanted to spend some time w Mrs wonderer in bed. I fell asleep.

Twice. We may have had some fun in between the unconsciousness.

I was really wiped out. I just don’t sleep well in hotels.

Then we went back to the farm and started doing a lot of clean out of the mill building. Mrs. wanderer made great progress while I was away this week and we pretty much filled the 30 yard dumpster most of the way up.

Then some errands and now watching football
