The snow was pretty intense for most of the morning.

I cleared the driveway in late morning.

It started turning to sleet around 2 PM. I just got back in from clearing the driveway the second time.

I think we only got like 8 to 10 inches.

I still don’t understand how it can be 23° and warmer air is causing the sleet. Like how much further up in the air is that warmer air?

It's a good read IMHO. I also liked his book The Tipping Point. Recently I saw a TED Talk he gave that made me like him all over again.
Lots of great moments in this one but two stand out to me: 5:31-5:34 and 13:12-13:15

It’s very light and dry snow, easy to snow blow.

I just helped my neighbor out too. Her husband works for the power utility and he and their son are all working.

We’ll hit a few other people too.

Well I did…

But I didn’t see their crazy zero turn lawn tractor plow contraption going.

(Their son is a real backyard engineer and really transformed their zero turn mower into a plow… it’s really ingenious! He put a winch hoist and mounted a plow. Also put a 50 lb weight on the back and chains on the tires.

So I called and asked. They needed some help.

I’ll hit them up first thing in the morning and then my other neighbor up the street.

Then to the farm at lunchtime.
