I heard there was some fairly rough water out your way, maybe it was a post of yours but I think it was on the news. They warned boaters to stay off the water for the Gasparilla Parade. A little celebration in Tampa every year, a pirate invasion!

Due to pisspoor design, I've shot SUMMERTIME temperatures in my stateroom at 49-51F.

I did befriend a couple of cats at one dock... "Mama Cat" and "Little One."
I was the ONLY PERSON they'd come to and they'd actually jump onto my boat to find me!
Mama Cat was a True BADASS! A coyote was after Little One, one night and she jumped onto it's face, sinking teeth and claws into its head and that f'kn coyote wanted NOTHING BUT LOOSE!! I
I'd make/feed them steamed fish fillets every time I came into port!

I had a college radio show in the early 90’s. But before that, I would call in for requests, promos, talk radio to talk local sports….

I tried briefly in college. It didn't take.

Same... but cheated - intolerant to the first two and getting less so by the year to the third.
Might have a mild milk allergy - kicking me out of the Fan Club. Especially whole milk.

FYI - you can freeze milk and drink it later.
Might be an option for the next storm prep?
BUT -
airtight container with 2-3 inches headspace.
(Don't want it to pick up odors or burst the container expanding as it freezes).

also, the fat will separate during freezing. so skim and part skim reconstitute a bit better.

when thawing, put container in fridge 24-36 hours. don't thaw on counter b/c risk of bacteria

After it's thawed, mix well... even with a whisk or blender.

If it's too "grainy"/"gritty" from the fat separation still, use it in a smoothie or for baking.

But it should be safe to drink... even though the taste and texture won't be the same after freezing

With all due respect and with the fullest love in my heart, based on my experience, frozen-and-thawed "milk" no longer is and it should be poured out on the ground as an offering to the gods and begging their forgiveness and for them to remind us all never again to commit such abominations.

Getting mail is "sketchy" at best, but my Goddess bakes some killer great Zucchini Bread, Cookies and treats to send with me!

Wat got some really good zucchini bread from a resident at one of the jobs. She was supposed to give him the recipe. We suspect that she caught a feller and that paying attention to other fellers fell by the wayside.

Here's hoping that the old girl has trouble walking on the regular.
