I don't know, we mostly had rainbow and brown so............... I never caught many of them in PA. Plenty of sunfish and large mouth. My favorite is RockBass, now if I only knew where to catch them here along the Gulf I might break out the Rods again. At least 10 years since I went fishing, I do mine mostly at Publix!

No way! My dad’s company he worked for built the boilers there. Y’all probably crossed paths at some point.

Getting ready for the Big Ol’ Jet Airliner manåna. Laundry, done. Packing, sorta done. Just need marching orders now.

Watched the Kory’s (Cory’s?) win ____ (don’t want to ruin it for anyone who’s taping…)

Warmed up just a tad today. It was cold as balls last night. Not bad on this a.m.’s walk. Going to grab a quick nap, go say buh-by to the tribe at momma’s, reclaim my dark chocolate and truffle covered pretzels (if any are left) and go to bed early. That’s the plan anyhow! Everyone have a great day!

I used to fish all the time as a kid.

Then a little bit when my daughter was young, and every so often with a friend of mine, who is an expert fly fisherman… (I am not)

But I don’t think I’ve gone fishing in seven or eight years.

I used to fish with my grandfather. After he died injust couldn't any more.

I'm sad to say I may be retired. I stayed out of the work force too long. Now looking for an IT job, all the vendors are different.

When I moved here to northern VA I quit fishing because you need a boat. Water is moving so fast in the Potomac it feels dangerous to stand next to it in many of the places I was close enough to fish. None of the other lakes I would eat the fish from. Bull Run and smaller rivers and creeks or even the Occoquan you can catch fish on light tackle but nothing large enough to eat. The small mouth in the Occoquan are every bit as colorful and beautiful as those I pulled from the Schuylkill between Valley Forge and Reading. I miss fishing. Jersey and PA many fish had teeth. And the Jersey shore as long as the water was below 62.5 and you could keep a clam on long enough, I caught many a keeper. Island Beach state park is heaven in the springtime. At that water temp, the air is cool and windy on the beach. You get the place to yourself as far as you can see in either direction. My girl didn't fish much but was all in for those trips.

Amen! Getting back into fish’n on a semi-serious basis has been the best thing I’ve done for my sanity…Unless of course…I have to tell SWMBO what I actually paid for that Sage X and Tibor reel combo…🤣

The boys have been informed to never sell anything without doing due diligence of price checking on the used market should I meet an untimely demise…some of those numbers HAVE BEEN fudged for SWMBO’s sanity! 😉

Boys…go. Go this spring. Get your gear together now. Go wet a line. If ya got young nieces or nephews or just a kid next door that needs to shut down an Xbox for a couple of hours…do it. You’ll thank yourself later.

WallyWorld sells cheap Chinese gear. You can get out of the door for under $50…that’s rod&reel, line, some tackle. If’n it breaks on the first trip, you got next to nothing in it. Just go grab another.

I will warn you though…if one is good 10 is better…IYKYK😉
