Whats a red squirrel look like?
It looks like a pure utterly hateful little bastard. I don't mind squirrels in general. But red squirrels die on contact with me.
Don't even mess around with a 22LR. They get the scattergun!

I watched one push a robin off her nest to steal an egg. Twice in a row! Mrs Robin had some outside "support" that day. Not that I'm that much of a fan of robins. It was more the principle of the thing.

Three or four years ago, we had a mother and baby Cooper’s Hawk, who were doing just that.

Trying at least… To take out squirrels.

But Cooper’s Hawks are too small and especially the young one could not really get them. He was actually kind of funny to see the baby tried to get the squirrels.

Red tails would have no problem, but Cooper’s Hawks are a bit smaller and would feed more on the birds.

I watched a red tail in Knoxville nail and depart with a big ol' gray squirrel. S/he had her/his work cut out for her just to get back to airborne with Brunch.

Girl eagles are bigger'n boy eagles. I wonder if that's a raptor thing.

Our eagles shoulder vultures outta the way to feats on roadkill.

You just gave me an idea what to do with my 2 20 gauges since it looks like I won't be goin' bird huntin' no more.

Except if the heron lands in the pond. S/he may get a load o' lead . . . .

I've watched them for hours, while hunting. It's really funny when they fail. Saw one jumping from branch to branch about 40 feet up. He missed that last branch by just a little. Just hit the ground all embarrassed looking, and ran off.

I enjoyed the one who fell off'n my icy roof week before last. I always figure the little fuckers have it comin'.

OK, engineers, machinists people who know or understand, oddball tools.

Can anyone identify this tool?

A friend of mine who is a machinist and engineer, passed away several months ago, and his wife gave us several tools, including this one…

He was also a pilot, and this was something he would fly with so it might be some sort of aeronautical tool.

When you unscrew the metallic cap on the thing that looks like a pen, it’s almost like a drillbit.

Dunno what it does or what it’s for tho?
