That looks really good.Wat's Tactical Meatloaf:
1 cup fine fresh bread crumbs. You may use canned at your peril
1/3 cup whole milk. I often substitute half and half if it's in stock at the house.
2 medium onions
1 medium green pepper
2 eggs, extra large preferred
1/2 cup Paul Newman's own marinara
5 cloves garlic. You may substitute the jar kind if need be. I use 2 tablespoons if I do.
2 heaping teaspoons salt. Sea salt is better to open
1.5 teaspoons black pepper - your call
2 tablespoons olive oil - use the better stuff and not the cheap shit
1 tablespoon Dash - and a touch more for good measure
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Sauer's BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon A1
1 tablespoon good Italian dressing - I like Newman's Own
1 pound ground chuck, or sirloin if it's available.
1 pound mild Italian sausage - hot if you prefer, but you might want to hold off until you've made this version first and tried it.
Preheat oven to 375*F
Soak breadcrumbs in the dairy bit in a mixing bowl.
Finely chop the onions and pepper. Put the oil in a frying pan and saute the onions, green pepper and garlic. Add a bit of the salt and black pepper as it cooks. 5-8 minutes is usually good.
Add this mixture to the mixing bowl. add half of the marinara and the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. I use a power mixer as stirring 2 pounds of meat gets old quickly. It also seems to blend things better. Pack mixture into a loaf pan and add the other half of the marinara on top. Bake for 75 minutes.
Note: I have added bacon strips on top, but it doesn't cook to a very satisfying texture, so I stopped using it. You might like it - who knows? You'll be in awe of the meatloaf.
I hear they call you Mr Priapism because you've always got wood!!I had a bad nite of sleep.
But Mrs wonderer woke me up at 8 and we watched it delaid.
I figured I would go and get a few things from the mill between 2/3 period and check to see how much wood was still there. Cleaned out - again. I think we’re one of the few games in town who still has good seasoned Firewood.
So I couldn’t NOT fill up the farmstand. We were about 45 minutes behind the game and just saw it. I missed the first half of the third period, but saw the rest.
So exciting.
Spectacular game!
Really? I was sure I had heard that you were a master baker.Urgh. No cussing and swearing but the two doughs rolled up for shit.
They’re gonna suck (visually) but I’m sure they’ll taste good.
I am not a baker.
Welcome to my world!
I've had the best luck with SSA at the local office. I was given the number for it at one point and have been able to use that number to make appointments for subsequent visits. One of my mom was alive, SSA, was super hit or miss. I was on hold on that number for something like four hours once.
We have better luck going to our local office. They mostly require you to make an appointment online, but if you can’t do that, I would suggest going on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Sometimes the weight was a short as 30 minutes, but typically about two hours, but you could talk to someone live in in person.
That was my experience anyway.
I do know. And have tried them there. So not a fan! It's all in the mind though, isn't it? If someone prepares a meal and it tastes delicious, they are complimented. When they tell you it was made with dog meat, everyone is appalled, even though it was a great dish. But if the menu had said it was dog meat, nobody would have chosen it. We are all victims of our cultural upbringing, naturally.
They eat frogs over here, you know![]()
You are fortunate! Families can be comforting or challenging. I figured my family contributed to who I am today.Family can be very comforting or so distressing. I am sorry you have some of the distressing part. I have been fortunate as I am very close now to my older and shorter sister (big little sis)
You are giving him the best end of life care!17 years going on for how long is anyone’s guess. Watching him age, failing eye sight, advanced arthritis, has made me sad. But he still snuggles like a pup.
Heh, heh, heh!oh no - I revealed my weakness![]()
Excellent! Go get the French maid outfit from @Wonderer67! Then, report for duty!I do excellent work!
