Like 3 or 4 suppers for me!
You have FILES? In my DRAWERS?????![]()
You have not offended at all. Cottage pie as I like it I’d just as you describe … sometimes add a little carrot and onion to the beef mince. I top with good quality grated mature cheese once cooked and just melt in to a light brown crust.
Fortunately the Management has returned from her jaunt to see our grandson so normal service has returned. I can hang up my pinafore, oven gloves and pink marigolds!
You are one strong lady. Be safe and know we miss you and care.
I never add coffee... cocoa is a good idea. There are also some chocolate cakes that use hot or boiling water...says it makes more chocolatyWhy do chocolate cake recipes ALWAYS include coffee as an ingredient???
I know they say the coffee enhances the chocolate flavor. Well, you know what else enhances chocolate? MORE CHOCOLATE!!!
They also say one can't taste the coffee. I can always taste the coffee!
I'll try this cake but substitute a cup of strong cocoa.
She is a great little.kitty catShe sure landed well!![]()

Get er doneUp. Coffee. Cat food. Still dark. Got to go to the bank and have some calls to make today. I can hardly wait. And there is meeting the real estate folks this afternoon. One thing after another.
Right?There was a brain in there ??![]()

It’s a great photo that captures a moment for sure!Right?
It explains a lot. The Brain Eating Ameba went in…found nothing…and just left?.
Here I was thinking all this time…
Got lots done yesterday. New transplants, new wisteria bonsai. Now just need to tidy up the area and get it just how I want it…only to have SWMBO come out and reshuffle the deck. It’s how we roll…
Oh goody…the first dusting of pollen wafted down so looking forward to hosing the porch off everyday. Don’t even think of washing a car during the next month.
Went out for a walk to see how It went after being sick. Didn’t do too bad. Only managed a little over 2 but it’s a start. The good news is I’m down at least 10 lbs just from lack of appetite over the last two weeks of this sickliness. Silver lining.
Everyone have a good day. Hope that bad weather passed everyone by up yonder.

The Palladium, New York City on 21 September 1979, Paul Simonon, bassist, getting ready to wreck his instrument. Taken by Pennie Smith. Has been voted the greatest rock photo by more than a few outlets.
Don't get me wrong, I love sweet things to be sweet, and chocolate is one of them. But I like the flavor that coffee adds to chocolate. There's something those bitter undertones add, that's sort of missing with just chocolate. I think the buttermilk/sour milk ads some acidity to the balance too. I find the same thing with chocolate chip cookies, if you mix semi sweet and milk chocolate it really brings out the flavor. Something about the bitter tones in the semisweet vs the milk. I don't know that I understand why, but it does. Why do chocolate cake recipes ALWAYS include coffee as an ingredient???

I only shovel one roof here, very low and very flat. By the time I shovel it there's a three to four foot cushion of snow. Most of the time we exit that roof by jumping off. Only one walkway that would be bad to land on, so extra careful there. Please be careful up on the roof! Every winter we would have half a dozen or so old guys in our ICU with head injury from falling off the roof. Usually putting up/taking down Christmas lights.![]()
Well i make AMAZINGchoc chip cookies.... i use guittard chocolate and mix milk and semi sweet....just sayingDon't get me wrong, I love sweet things to be sweet, and chocolate is one of them. Maybe there is something other than coffee that has bitter flavors you could try? I don't know how a really black tea would work, it's a different flavor profile, but can be similar to coffee. It might work too (if you don't mind tea).
