The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Yes. I’ve posted this story before, so if ya heard it…well, yer gonna hear it again! 🤣

We ended up doing the self guided tour back when you had CeeDee players in the car. Took our time and ended up staying three days, doing a little bit a day. My favorite memory was when we were at the Devils Den. Perched on a rock was maybe a 13 yr old girl with a flute. Her parents standing off a ways. She was playing the Battle Hymn of the Republic…perfectly I might add! The sun was setting and she was silhouetted by the sun.

I get goosebumps thinking of it still…
I would have love to see/hear her! 🥰

Wat is picking up speed. Got the floor replacement planks pretty much done, which is good because we're out of material save for a 30" piece left over. There's some molding left to run, and Wat'll need a brad nailer. And probably a large multi-tool. Good thing is, he uses this stuff regularly enough, so having to spring for it won't hurt as badly is it would a Normal Person, which Wat is not. But that is some well-butchered wood he done left over there today.

Painter and thrift store pick-up tomorrow. We'll see how the paint prices work out.
I have a brad nailer you can borrow!

I apologize for not being online as much. Damn doctor's changed my psych meds again. It changes the way I think, i.e. slows everything down, so I'm not trying to do 15 things at the same time (like my norma).
So far it seems to be working though...I feel more relaxed. Lady K makes sure i take it on time though so I don’t accidentally miss a dose. It's also time sensitive and I'm very forgetful.
I'll try to be on more as I like to chat and keep everyone updated.
I miss talking with everyone...
I'm still getting settled in to my home and it’s a rented house that needs updating to our needs, so I'm busy during the day.

Gotta get some sleep soon...it was a busy today...
Goodnight
Wishing you the best. It sounds like you are on a good path with the meds and doctors.

It's actually not that hard. If you can read and follow directions, you can cook. The key is to start with an easy recipe with just a few steps.

That's how I learned. I got a Betty Crocker cookbook for my 1st wedding. I just picked out a new recipe each day. Then watched my husband and the friend who lived with us eat, saying, "That’s the first time I ever made that!"

The guys got to where they suspiciously approached the table every night! 🤭🤭

I still have the cookbook...
I recall that cookbook. I had to change a bit because of my type 2 diabetes. I cook more to my health needs more- more protein, less sugar and more liquids.

Good morning denizens of the diner. Finished catching up on posts last night. Good to see Lilli is back to her self. She must be getting better.

Comments on last night’s posts: 1) Glad your back healthy RJ and Lilli; 2) March Madness is here , yea and 3) to all with family issues, ask for help from others as not all on your shoulders.

Wat's Tactical (TackTickle) Meatloaf is easy and good and good for you.

I hate it when ppl waste your time. One of the "workers" on my remodel project no-showed constantly. I finally told the contractor if he did it again, he was off the project. I had already fired one of his workers so he knew I wasn't kidding. 😤🤬

Reminds me of the idjit I tossed off the job last Spring. He wanted to "discuss" it. I told him that my next move was to call the local police.

He got in his car and left.

Up. Coffee. Cats have et. Liking this here newfangled stereo thingie. Tunes abide. Gonna get some more floor done today, meet the painter, and get a useless oversized POS piece o' furniture outta Dr. Tyler's, and won't even wave byebye to it neither. Also, there are a few boxes of odds-n-ends to go with said furniture bit. Now, if we can just fire up the nephews to clear out the remainder of their shit . . . .
