The 7th Annual Literotica Award Nominations: Most Influential Poet

While I'm here, I would like to add my nomination for 1201.

As someone who frequents only the poetry boards, and on a daily basis, to bring up only one name when there are so many wonderful influences there seems quite shabby, but that is how this system works.

While I believe his writings are error ridden and pure "CRAP", almost in entirety. I must admit that he has a very large following of Literotica posters, most of whom can write rings around him, left handed and with a fat, blunt crayon!

Although he is on my "Ignore List", I am forced to vote for "My Erotic Tale/Tail/Trail" as the "Most" influential poster under the rubric of "Literotica poet" He cannot spell/punctuate/write and is a complete biased/bigoted idiot, but unfortunately he has had more influence than anyone else in this category in the past year."

It is a shame to see Literotica sink so low. :(

I didn't realize that I had such an influence on you... thank you Reltine...

just so there are no misunderstandings, TheRainMan and PatCarrington are the same person....Me.
and you told me you were NEW!
my nose knows!

There has been a couple hand fulls of folk that have been influential and helpful to all in poetry here at Lit! Half are mentioned and the other have been away or gone.

I nominate Lebroz~

He is a gentleman and a scholar. He has commented 'well' on a lot of poems. He has edited some of my poetry and an easy teacher to follow. He sets what I would call a good example for us all.

I would like to mention the other "Influential poets".... Du Lac, bluerains, JenniferC and Rhymefairy for welcoming new poets and an encouraging force in the forum as well as Pat, Wicked, Angeline (grasshopper) and Tess, Liar, duckie, Champ, flyguy, anonamouse, jim:) Lauren and more....

It is hard to thank one without thanking them all.

The tree of poetry
is filled with beautiful blossoms

I reach
to 'pick' but one

Oh no, this cannot be; my name shouldn't be showing on this thread, certainly not as a nominee!

The most influential, at least to me (if I could remember who said it!) would be the one that finally said, why don't you submit?

But, lacking that, I nominate cymry, our pastry chef poetess. Whenever I read something she's written she really gets me to thinking, and that surely can't be all bad!

Having read so much poetry on Lit over the last month or so my opinions have changed and somersaulted so many times I really find it difficult to nominate someone for what is essentially a beauty contest which given my inclination would mean me dismissing all the male poets.

Now if all the ladies would give me a wiggle of their asses, I'll make my decision.

For force of character I'm tempted to go for 1201 but is it because he gives great critiques or because I personally love his work? I'm really not sure.

Annaswirls writes very seductive work and also is forceful in her opinions (if more coyly than 1201) which I like.

Pat Carrington is writes quality of such consistance it's unnerving while not backward in giving opinions (something I find admirable). Hmm I never approached him until he was called Rainman.LOL.

Having read all Eve's poetry while nursing a whiskey one night, I really think she should be published. Not to mention her contribution and work on Lit.

I've grown to enjoy Angeline's work imensely as I've read it which I wouldn't have thought initially it was to my taste. Also her activity on the threads is worthy of recognition.

Damn I like you all for different reasons and that is the problem which leads me to nominating Bogusbrig. Not because I believe he deserves it, I don't but because I'm contrary and dislike being put in the position of making an impossible choice. And if nominating once self renders this nomination null and void, that is fine by me. :D

With deep pride I nominate MET

Every poem he places on this venue. Has such depth and is written from his soul. We have forged quite a writers relationship. He has taught me much.

Poetry is his passion. Whether it is a little ditty. An enormous epic.

He is THE poet. Man of great word wizardry, no other comes close.

Hey bog, I agree with the rest of your assesments, but as she is right now coyly forcing her opinions in my bratface.

annaswirls
thirded or fourthed, lost count.

Wait! You are nominating yourself? I did not even get a chance to wiggle yet! Coy, that is a new adjective for me.... hmm coy.

I agree, MET all the way. When you ask, which is the most Influential poet? I can honestly say that My Erotic Tale has been helpful, encouraging, inspirational and a true trooper to the new poets that face the gauntlet of critics when they come here. He always offers a friendly helping hand to those who are new to the poetry forum and comments on many from the new erotic poems list. His poetry is from the heart and I love his (ZMP) Zen Mountain Poetry collection.

the most Influential poet, My Erotic Tale

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

That sucks and I can't vote for just one. I have to go with the coy annaswirls and 1201.
