The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room 09

I cannot handle myself when I hear someone say 'No food in the house!'

Maybe because I grew up in an area with hostile winters (no more,) but I cannot imagine not having a home without food supplies that would get you through at least a week.

Rice, dried beans, cans of tomatoes, long term (root cellar) vegetables like onions and potatoes. You can do wonders with very little.
If my knee was healthy and I wasn't exhausted, I'm sure I could have assembled more than one meal out of the "no food" we had in the house. When we were struggling to find some place, I did suggest just going back home and figuring out what I could pull together. I certainly could have made cheese omelets at the very least.

Morning all! Thanks for the coffee and the tin of Scottish shortbread hidden under the counter.

We're officially in that weird Christmas - New Year time when we don't know what's open, what day is it, are those leftovers ok to eat, and when do the bins go out...

Less than two minutes to go in the Rate Bowl. UNM and Minnesota are tied at 14, and UNM has the ball.

Edit: Going to overtime.

Edit2: Minnesota touchdown. Game over. Good game, though.

Ohgawd yes. Mix retirement and its general disconnection from the day of the week with the holiday calendar blob and... sigh... it's hopeless.

"Every day is Saturday!" Isn't it?
