The Alpha's new Mate

After she agreed Jason led her through some doors and Sasha was amazed. This place was big. He then led her over to a table and didn't even look at the menu and said about steak and stuff. "I want the steak, but am I allowed to get soup with it as well?" Sasha's Mother had always made steak and venison soup. It was delicious. For as long as she could remember Sasha had loved steak even more than she loved other meat. She even ate it Rare once. That had been crazy, but she had liked it, and her mom had just smiled and left her alone. That had been the only time she did it though. "Also if I can, do they have venison soup? My mom always fixed steak with venison soup and we had steak a LOT. At least 2 times a week. You probably know from that statement my family is not poor."

Jason smiled. Oh Sasha was definitely proving to be a woman after his own heart. "Very well my dear Venison soup and steak it is. In fact I think I might join you. I haven't had venison soup for awhile myself. A nice Rare steak to follow with a baked potato and vegetables and maybe dessert if that doesn't fill us up," he chuckled.

He called the waitress over and placed his order and she raised her eyebrows at him as he changed his usual order. Smiling he nodded at her and also ordered a large lemon squash. "The lady will have the same meal but just how she will have her steak you will have to ask her and what she wishes to drink. So how will you have it Sasha?"

"Hmmm, medium rare, but closer to rare than medium." Sasha smiled at the waitress, but her body instinctively moved into a position that said Jason was hers. Sasha didn't notice her body do this though as she turned her head back to Jason. "Soooo, do you have anything you want to ask me? I'm just curious."

Jason had noticed her subtle move and was again astounded. She was claiming him. All the signs she was giving off pointed to it and now he could really smell it on her. In fact even the waitress had given him a subtle look as she had turned away and he had nodded his head no. For one such as her to have picked it up as well Sasha was really projecting. He looked at her for a little while, taking a sip of water to cover it and decided he just had to know more about her.

Grinning at her he leaned in closer and felt his body thrill to be this near. "Very well my dear, cards on the table time then. You intrigue me a lot Sasha and that is highly unusual for me. You can ask anyone in the company and they will tell you I do not chase women and am not in the habit of picking up women I have just met, however there is just something about you that is so alluring to me. However you have just started working for me and I don't want you to think I am some sexual predator of a boss. If you feel uncomfortable at anytime walk out and that will be the end of it. This will not effect your job in any way."

Still smiling he backed up a bit to give her some space. "What I would like to know is nearly everything about you. Where you were born, who were your parents and what were they like, do you have any siblings?" He stopped and chuckled a little. "Basically Sasha I am asking for your life story or at least the bits of it you feel comfortable telling me about."

Sasha blinked as the waitress gave Jason a look and he shook his head. What was that about, Sasha wondered. Oh well it didn't matter. As she waited for her drink, Dr Pepper as usual. She was suprised when Jason leaned in close and suprisingly as he talked, Sasha didn't have flashbacks as she usually did when a guy got that close. She also felt as though she wanted to kiss him and she almost did, but controlled herself. He then asked for her life story. " Well I was actually born here, suprisingly enough. My mom never told me why she moved though so I don't know that. Anyways we moved when I was one to Fort Wayne into a pretty big house. We lived there for many years and I had a normal life, until the day I broke up with my boyfriend. He had come over and I told him our relationship didn't feel right and he tried to rape me. Now this is going to sound crazy and I don't expect you to even come anywhere near me after this, but a wolf actually scared him off and I actually hallucinated that it turned into my mother before I fainted." Sasha laughed and shook her head. "That was the most crazy thing in my childhood, but ever since I can remember I always had wolves as friends. We lived like right in front of a forest with a pack of wolves and they treated me like I was almost one of them, but they would always sort of push me back home. It was like they were saying I didn't yet belong with the wolves and that I would find a pack one day. Even more crazy is I heard that in my mind and i'm sure by now you probably think I should be hospitalized and I don't blame you."

Jason sat there stunned for a second and then grinned. Fort Wayne huh. He knew that pack well and they were actually a very tight knit community. Not that large but very family orientated. If one of the pack members from here had left to go there it would be easy enough to find out who and to know her position.

Of course all of this explained her behavior. She had been raised by a mother who was a Werewolf and had picked up her mannerisms and had run with a pack and picked up all of the subtle body signs without even being aware of it. God she was an ideal candidate to be turned and the fact that he was so attracted to her was a huge plus, but he needed to find out what she thought about him. He would never turn a woman against her will.

The other thing was she had already run with wolves and accepted them. Of course that was when she thought they were just wild wolves. What would she do when she found out that werewolves really did exist. Jason had to find out just who her mother was and get in touch with her and maybe find out her story. It was obvious Sasha's father was not of the pack, otherwise she would be a werewolf. They always bred true when both parents were Were's. However throw a human in the mix and it was hit and miss although some traits did leak through. Sasha seemed to be able to hear Were's in their wolven forms.

"Sasha I don't think you are crazy, in fact I myself love wolves. We have a large pack that lives and runs free in the woods around here as well. I own a ranch on the outskirts of town and sometimes they can be seen near there. Maybe you would like to visit sometime?"

As Jason sat there, looking like he had been shocked by lightning Sasha started to worry and let out a small whimper. Oh no, oh god she hoped he didn't hear that. Then he talked and Sasha was surprised as he kept talking surprise turned to joy and she was grinning. "I would love to! It's been a long time since I ran free with wolves." Sasha then got her daydreamy look before snapping out of it as the waitress came back with their meals. Once again Sasha's body made the subtle move without her knowing it.

Jason had to physically stop himself from laughing. She had done it again and he was sure she was not even aware of it. It was such a pack like move that the waitress had even crouched down a little in response. When she turned around he saw her shake her head a little in surprise before walking off.

He turned his attention to the soup and took a mouthful and immediately was glad he had allowed her to talk him into ordering it. He had only eaten raw venison lately but this soup was delicious.

"Oh my gosh this is delicious. Thank you for getting me to order this."

Sasha noticed the waitress slightly crouch down and almost tilted her head, before she stopped herself. She had picked that up as when she was little. She would tilt her head at things and even paw at it if it was an object. She had learned to control that though after she stopped running with the wolves. She turned her attention to her food and started on the soup, smiling and closing her eyes. She opened them as he spoke though and shook her head. "Oh its nothing. I actually haven't had steak and venison soup since I left my mom and Dad. Speaking of them though.... they were so close. It was like they knew each others thoughts almost. Nothing broke them apart, still don't actually." Sasha let out a small chuckle. "Sorry about that. I get like that sometimes, saying what I think out loud. Like the wolf I see in my dreams." Sasha sighed daydreamily at that. It was the most beautiful wolf. The dreams seemed almost real at times and Sasha smiled as she thought of it.

Well that was something new. Jason had heard of that from bonded pairs before that had a truly deep connection. They had told him of dreaming of each other before they had ever seen each other, normally their wolf forms at first then as they got closer to each other their human forms as well so they could find each other.

Jason had never heard of a human doing it but Sasha was no ordinary human. Perhaps she was drawn to him because he was the Alpha wolf and could help her find her mate. He was disappointed obviously, he had wanted to pursue a relationship with her. What, he did? He had just admitted that? He had never found a girl that he had ever actually wanted to pursue before. There was just something about her.

"So tell me about this wolf you dream about. What is he, one of the ones you used to run with?"

Sasha smiled and shook her head. "No. I've never seen this wolf before. You might actually want to run away with what im about to tell you, buuuuuttt he kind of smells like you. I know crazy. I can smell him in mu dreams and I even blurted the crazier thing that he smelled like you. He's also definitely an alpha. No doubt about that. Now I will leave cause im sure you want me to by now." Sasha went to stand up feeling crazy that she had told him that, wondering what was wrong with her. She knew she would probably be fired. She could feel tears welling in her eyes. What the hell was wrong with her?!

Jason reached across and grabbed her arm gently. "Where do you think you are going," he smiled gently at her. "We still need to finish our soup and then we have our steaks coming. Am I that bad as company that you would run out on me. I am hurt a little," he teased her.

"Now please sit back down and enjoy your meal. I don't think your crazy and I definitely don't want you to leave," he told her. "Perhaps you could even tell me more about your mysterious Alpha. I too happen to love wolves you know and I know a great deal about them. Perhaps I could help you work out why you are dreaming of this one guy," he grinned at her.

When Jason reached over and grasped her arm Sasha gasped. She was surprised but she also felt like a bolt of lightning went through her. Every sense in her seemed to turn on maximum and his smile just added to the craziness. What the hell had just happened to her? Sasha froze, almost not being able to think as things in her mind started to actually calm down and snap into place. With what her senses seemed to say, she was Jason's mate. How could that be and why was she thinking in wolf terms? Hadn't she forgotten that foolishness long ago? She then heard what he said and quickly shook her head no. "No, you are actually very good company. I'm sorry, my head is in turmoil right now."

He then told her to sit down and she did, like a little puppy. What was with her and thinking in wolf terms?! He then told her he didn't think she was crazy and that he didn't want her to leave. Huh? Did Sasha suddenly have a hearing disability or something? She could not have heard him right. Sasha decided to eat more soup as he continued to talk. Maybe if she got some food in her, she wouldn't think crazy thoughts. He then told her to tell him more about the wolf. Um was he suddenly the one who was crazy? Was there some sort of epidemic going around? She decided to answer him anyway. "Well he has soft brown fur, a gentle wood scent and his eyes, are the same color as yours actually. He has pride, but also affection, and in my dreams he always pays attention to how I am feeling. I don't even know why I am saying all this." Sasha's mind started breaking down again. She felt like something was trying to break out of her and seeking some kind of comfort, Sasha grabbed his hand, her eyes wild before calming down. For some reason feeling him settled her down, put a blanket of comfort over her.

Jason could not believe his ears and he almost spat out a mouthful of his soup. She had just described him. Well almost. There were one or two others in the pack that looked enough like him to be that particular wolf. Of course her feeling of it being an Alpha and the electricity and feelings of longing he got every time he touched her pretty well convinced him but to take this to the elders and get permission to change her, because by god he had never wanted to do it to another human being but he would do it to Sasha in an instant, he needed one hundred percent accuracy.

"This wolf sounds pretty impressive. In fact I have seen a few brown wolves up near the ranch. If there was only some identifying mark or something odd about him that would allow me to identify him, I am sure I could tell you if he was living around these parts."

Sasha thought about what Jason said pulling her hand from his, feeling loneliness wash over her the second she did. Well....hmmm.... in his scent there was a hint of a flowery smell, like lilac. It actually made him that much more dreamy. Also at the very tip of his tail, its black." Sasha started getting her daydreamy look. Oh how she yearned to meet that wolf. " I would be so happy to meet the wolf, but there is a complication in my dreams. There is this other almost black wolf who seems to want me. It seems like he has an almost dangerous attitude. I feel like he wouldn't hurt me but he wants me as well, but the craziest thing is im almost as fully drawn to him as the other wolf." There she went telling this guy everything again. Oh forget it, she had to stop fighting it. "Actually the two wolves seem like brothers. The one I told you about before though is the one I feel im drawn to the most, I think." Oh how she was drawn, she just couldn't get that other wolf out of her mind. It was like she couldn't just ignore the other one. He might not be the one she was drawn to as a mate or maybe she was, but the other wolf definitely drew her, but why? Wolves only had one mate. Right? She then sighed. Again with wolf terms. She felt like it was time to stop fighting though. Her senses told her everything was changing and these two wolves had something to do with it. That they would guide her.

Again Jason was shocked, She had just described both him and his twin brother. Both of them had never mated although Dean liked to fool around a little bit more than Jason did. It was alright for him of course he was only a beta so it didn't matter as much, but still he was of the same lineage as him and he had constantly told him to rein in his behavior.

However had never really listened to him and had always done his own thing. Of course Jason knew how to use his talents though. Dean was a talented fighter and a very charismatic man. He had galvanized some of the younger wolves into an effective fighting force so Jason had used them as a strike force against some of the creatures that threatened them and to also keep peace within the pack.

Dean had proven very effective at this while not getting any ideas about trying to take over the pack. One thing he was, was absolutely loyal to his brother. both of them loved each other and would gladly sacrifice themselves for one another. It made sense to Jason that if she was drawn to him she would be drawn to his brother as well.

"I tell you what Sasha, those wolves sound familiar to me. Why don't we eat our meal then you can follow me out to my ranch. It is close to the full moon so they should be running pretty freely right now. We might just catch a glimpse of them."

Sasha finished her soup as Jason talked about the ranch and was happy at the prospect of getting to meet one of her dream wolves possibly. "I would love to, if it isn't too much trouble." Sasha was smiling brightly at this point and sipped some of her Dr. Pepper while looking at Jason. She didn't think she would ever tire of looking at him and sighed dreamily.

"No trouble at all. I always have guests popping in and out. It is sort of a meeting place for a group of friends but the back part is reserved for me and my family. You will love it. Rolling hills, forest, natural streams and our own garden. Oh and of course the wolves" he chuckled. "I don't hunt them like some people do. They are free to roam my lands and hunt as they see fit. They seem to know it to and stay within my boundaries. I don't allow poachers either. They are dealt with harshly. They take their lives into their own hands if they come on my land" he said with true malice in his voice.

He smiled again and his face lit up. "Forgive me I shouldn't talk of such things with a beautiful lady. Tonight if we sit quietly on my porch I am pretty sure we will see wolves and maybe your mystery wolf."

Sasha smiled but was concerned. "If it's just for you and your family, wouldn't I be intruding? It does sound wonderful though, my kind of place." Sasha smiled as he said he didn't hunt the wolves. "I'm glad, wolves are such beautiful creatures, I hate that they are hunted, and poachers are the worst. You don't have to be sorry, any poacher that comes near me is going to be bloody and in the hospital when i'm done." Sasha had a dark face before shaking it off as the waitress came back, and again Sasha's body moved without her noticing, but more of a calm movement than earlier, more relaxed because she had noticed the slight crouch.

"Oh I will invite who I want to my ranch," Jason told her as he watched he sidle closer again. their plates were taken and he knew that as soon as mains came back she would move again. He grinned and couldn't wait for it. "Don't worry about my family Sasha. At the moment it is just me and my brother and he is not around all that much."

Sasha smiled and giggled a little as he said he would invite who he wanted to his ranch. She drank more of her Dr Pepper and mentioned he had a brother. "A brother? What is he like? Is he cute?" For some reason Sash wanted to know more about this brother, very interested.

Jason frowned a little as he heard the eagerness in her voice but then he decided it was his brother and he loved him. "Well you already know what he looks like at least. He is my twin brother, although he is a little rougher around the edges than me. So if you think I am cute I guess you will like him," he grinned at her. "Of course he likes to do things a little different than me. I took over the Family business but Dean likes his free time, so he has begun his own boxing gym. He is a bit of a ladies man too but I love him."

He watched her absorb every fact he told her about his brother and sighed. Looks like he was about to loose another girl to his brother again. Story of his life. Still he would get one night with her. Dean was running with his crew tonight so he could at least show her around without him butting in for once.

Sasha listened as Jason talked about his brother, absorbing every fact she could about him, but why. Why was she so eager to learn about both of these guys? He sounds sweet and yes you are cute so I know he is as well." The waitress then came back and Sasha's body made a relaxed move again as she was given her steak. She smiled, licking her lips.

Jason began eating his steak and once again enjoyed the feeling of the juices running down his gullet. His human form didn't mind the slight searing of the meat but he could never have it above rare and actually preferred it blue when alone. Still the feeling of the blood in his mouth awakened his hunger and he enjoyed every bite savoring it before swallowing it down. Of course his taste was much more advanced than a humans or so he had been told. Never having been human he would not know but from people that had been changed they were amazed at the difference in their palate afterwards.

He saw the look on Sasha's face as she took her first bite and grinned. "See I told you they had some of the best steaks around. It's lucky we came on a weekday. Friday through Sunday this place is packed out."

Actually this was one of the packs main source of income as well as his business. There were a few other places that he had managed to turn around as well, and in fact they were pretty flush with money. They also ran a few not for profit organizations helping those less fortunate out, and volunteered a lot on a lot of projects.

"So what else would you like to know about Sasha. For some reason I want to tell you my life story so just ask away. My life is an open book."

Sasha took her first bite and closed her eyes fully enjoying it. "You were right. This is really good." Sasha had slightly better taste than other people, expect for her mom and she wax loving how this tasted. It was soooo good. She continued eating, finishing her Dr. Pepper. "Well, what about your parents? Do they live near here?"
