It was a 1600, yes. In my class it's handicapped, so it's based on what time you think you'll do. The closest to their own prediction, without beating it, wins. My best time was 20.431 in that car

I prefer it because slow cars like mine are in with a chance of winning, and it's all about consistency, track and weather conditions, which means you have to really think about it

Unfortunately not. I've sold that on now but this year I'll be racing a standard 1600 Mk2 Golf, which I drive to work every day.
356's are few and far between in my class. I've raced a twin engined Caddy van before, I shit you not. 12 seconds flat that did without even trying, and I lagged nine seconds behind it in my poor little '72
