The Battle of Good Vs. Evil...

The Tarasque could hear them now. He had not moved closer, but now his Empress was shouting. He cocked an eyebrow and watched as she squashed a black flame. He rose into the air once more, and this time growled deeply and withdrew his sword. He watched a human woman sneaking around in the forests. He flew forward ever so slightly. He doubted that the angels would strike. After his army joined Lucifer's, they were in no position to anger them. He came forward a little bit more, and saw that the angels nor humans had made a move. He could see her now. She was quite pretty, for a mortal. He became a Dark Angel now, shedding the repulsive Daemon Lord form. She was undoubtedly with the humans, but how they or she possibly stop Lucifer's strongest minion was beyond his grasp. He went into a full dive, a smile on his face. At the last moment, he teleported himself so he stood right behind her. "Beautiful day for a walk, isn't it?" he said, a cruel smile on his handsome face. Though he was very handsome, his smile radiated evil, and his eyes were the black of the Dark Flames, the only place worse than Hell.

Belinda

I whirled around in the tree and almost fell out when I heard the dark voice behind me. With a last minute reflex I grabbed onto a branch and was able to turn my drop into a swing and land on the ground.

I turned to the winged one and open my mouth to land a harsh tongue lashing onto him and freeze in mid thought. The angel who stood before me now emitted a darkness that wrapped itself around my heart and made my breath catch in my throat. I wanted to run and hide from this being-to get away from his dark grin and eyes but my feet wouldnt move.

I tried to focus on what he had said to me but my thoughts were stuck only on the fact that I felt fear around this being. I begin to tremble though I clenched my jaw so that it would not show. Boldly or foolishly-I could not tell which-I squared my shoulders and spit out through my clenched teeth. "And who are you?"

For the first time in my life I was wishing that I was around the other winged ones. I did not want to be alone with this dark being.

The Killing Angel

After the lady left me I stood and watched the sights around me. Raphael was still eavesdropping with the man on Michael's negotiations, and Gabriel was at his post, watching the skyline with weary eyes. I was at a loss, for the first time in my existence I actually had nothing to do, and it was an unusual feeling.

Then something caught my eye, a speck rising from behind the mountain. Obviously a demon! Alarmed I turned and focused, and I saw a demon, armed with a sword. Alone? He must be a rebel of some sort, or a spy. I decided to stick to the undergrowth, and follow it's path, to see what it would do.

After a few moments he stopped, and I followed his line to vision to see the woman sitting in a tree. Dammit won't these humans ever learn? The demon changed to his orginal form, a dark angel. Now I knew who he was! The Tarasque, one of the most dangerous of Lucifer's minions. While loyal to her he was restless and an attention seeker. He must be bored and looking for some fun. I crept closer, until I was a few feet away. I lean't against a tree with my back to them, and I heard her say, "And who are you?"

"I know who he is." I turned and spat in disgust.
"It's been a long time Tarasque."

Belinda

I looked from one angel to the other. I hated to admit it but I was glad for the prescence of the angel who claimed he could kill. The dark sorrow I sensed in him was nothing to the mind numbing blackness of this one.

Finding my voice, I unclenched my jaw and said,"Tarasque? Would someone tell me what is going on here? Exactly who are you and what do you want with me-a mere human?"

I was praying, literally, that he would say that he wanted nothing and move on but I had the feeling that would not be the case. I to a sideways glance toward the camp. So near and yet it felt like it was miles away. If I broke and ran I wondered how far I would get. Looking back at the dark angel I figured not very far.

The Killing Angel

He stared at me, and I could feel the evil in his soul. An ordinary angel would have been terrified, but my years of service had hardened against such terrors. The silence was broken by the woman, "Tarasque? Would someone tell me what is going on here? Exactly who are you and what do you want with me-a mere human?"

I moved my arms a little and two daggers slid out of my sleeves and into my hands. "Young lady, I would advise you to get out of here as fast as you can. We have a score to settle."

Toral

I had followed Belinda, and the angel who seemed intrigued by her - and scowled as I saw the daemon, Tarrasque, confront her.

Silently, I circled about them, calling some minor magics up to conceal the sounds of my movement. Neither the angel nor daemon would be able to sense my presence, but they might otherwise hear me.

I leaned back against a tree, hidden from their view, while closing my eyes and allowing my inner sight to watch them.

Both the daemon and angel were powerful entities, and I had to make sure Belinda was kept out of harms way should tensions flare up between them - which looked likely.

I frowned, then sent a whispered message to the young woman, on a current of conjured air. "Quickly, this way."

I didn't really want to reveal any of my powers, however subtle, at this crucial time, but her safety was paramount to my own... for her soul might hold the key to the humans survival.

Belinda

"Quickly this way" the voice came to me as if on the air itself and it broke my stupor. Like a shot I had turned and ran towards where I thought the voice had come from, plunging into the trees. My feet were lent speed by fear and my heart was pounding so hard that I thought it would come out of my chest.

"Ah, the Killing Angel. You are in no position to start a fight with me. I might just set about orders to attack. But, I would love to oblige to your death. He suddenly changed into his Daemon form. His huge mass ripped out some trees. He was no longer the handsome angel, he was no 100% of evil, killing power. He unsheathed his huge sword. "Do you wish to die today, before the battle has even begun, Angel?" he hissed in anticipation. "But I have more important things to do", he said, and suddenly set off. He noticed the mix, a very subtle creature, but the Tarasque employed some of them in his army. He lashed out and his fist caught him square in the stomach, taking him out of the fight for a while. He easily caught up with Belinda, and he grabbed her in his arms. "No, why would you resist me?" he chuckled. He changed into Angel form again, his Daemon form no longer needed. But if either being below were to follow, he would be forcd to kill them, even in front of the woman. Little did the mix know, but he could sense him because the Tarasque had made such offspring before. Mostly because of rapes, but a few times they obliged.

Belinda

I screamed as I felt myself being lifted from the ground. I struggled in the demon's arms for I had seen him change when I had looked back over my shoulder as I ran and I knew what he was.

"Why would I resist you?," I asked in disbelief,"Why wouldnt I? You are an example of why we fight this cursed war!"

"Now, Let me go!," I said through gritted teeth,"Let me go right now!" I flailed around kicking my feet and hitting his arms with my hand and hoping to make contact with something at least painful if not vital but he did not seem to feel any blow I delt him.

Finally my wriggling caused me to begin to slip from his grasp. I had remebered the angel's words about keeping still or I would fall but I found a possible death much more inviting than the demon's embrace.

This woman was beginning to annoy the Tarasque. He grabbed her by the leg, and hung her upside down. "Now, why do you be so cruel to me? I do not kill humans, just angels" he said. It wasn't a full truth, but it wasn't a lie either.

Belinda

I gasped as I was suddenly hung upside down. My defiance and attitude was not working well, time to try a little bit of my mother instead of my father.

I took in a shuddering breath. "Okay, okay," I said quickly, closing my eyes at the passing ground,"What say you and I talk...on the ground...just the two of us. Maybe we could work something out and you can tell me what you want."

I had tried to keep my voice calm and sweet like I remembered my mother doing when she and father were arguing but I knew a bit of fear had also crept into my voice because this being made me very afraid.

"Yes, that would seem slightly smarter than trying to make me kill you", chuckled the Tarasque. He landed down in his camp, and walked her into his tent. It was surprisingly clean, and surprisingly non-violent. There were no skulls, no messes. There were just weapons, and a sleeping chamber. "So, what is your name?" he asked.

Belinda

"Oh, hell," I thought to myself as he took me to the tent,"Caught behind enemy lines. Isnt this just great! When I said I wanted down I didnt mean here. Father, why didnt I listen to you when I had the chance?"

I took a deep breath and tried to keep calm. This was not good but my father always said, 'where there is life there is hope' I just hoped I lived to see the next day.

Looking around the tent, I opened my mouth to answer the question. "Be..Belinda," I said, my voice betraying my nervousness.

Death

The young, non-descript, human-looking girl watched emotionlessly as the demon and the angel faced off over the human, and as the Demon ignored his opposition to go after the human as she ran... the angel seemed annoyed at being annoyed by the infernal creature, and came up behind him, daggers poised to strike... The girl sighed and opened up a small pouch, getting ready to recive what passed for a soul in the demon... And called for her horse, to trasnport it back to the realm of hell once more... This impetous one in particular seemed to recive alot of her attention, requireing her to farie his being back and forth between life and death. The small girl waited for the angel to give his killing strike, waited for the girl to be destroyed when she restisted the demon... waited, for the war to be over, the world to end, and her job to finally be done...

(OCC: *sigh* Well, I found this BBS late, and didn't manage to get in on all the very interesting stuff going on... like this thread. I hope you guys don't mind me butting in, and also the you don't mind the character...
If you want her gone, just say the word, ok?)

OOC: The angel isn't behind the Tarasque. If he tried, he'd be dead already. That's all. From what I see, you and your posts are fine.

IC: "Oh, Belinda. My name is the Tarasque, although most just call me Lord, servant, or Que. Well, do you like my humble abode? Notice that there are no disgusting images of slaughter, no slaves, no whores, and no mess", he said, glancing about the tent.

Death

.oO(Nothing is ever easy...)
The Demon left the ground, carrying the human with her, while the Angel stood, watching. The non-descript girl sighed, and closed up her bag, the Demon's 62nd death was not to be this day, it seemed. She boarded her horse, and turned him to leave, for her services must have been in need somewhere... they always were.

(OCC: Oppsie. Heh, I was just reading through this, and well, I registered and was writing (and correcting my stuff) before the Taresque had left the ground... my bad. or not... blah, I shouldn't be reading this stuff at 2:00 am... it makes for not paying enough atterntio to the details... *sigh* and now that I notice, bad spelling... ^^; )

The Killing Angel

My hands were tied. That coward had taken the girl before I had a chance to attack and taken her back behind enemy lines. What could I do? Any action I took would not fail to go unnoticed, and could start the battle just as easily. Typical of hell to display such impudence.

I turned and saw the man lurched on the ground still reeling from the Tarasque's hit. I had sensed something before but hadn't paid attention to it. Now I walked up to the man and picked him up by the collar.

"There is something special about you my friend. For example how did you manage to pass unnoticed for so long in the presence of a demon and an angel? No human is ever so calm looking in the face of the Tarasque. Tell me or you will join the demons in hell!"

Lucifer

(alright, where is my pooh? and I am soooooo being ignored. Hm. NEONE? POOH? GABRIEL? MICHEAL? COME ON NOW...Ne one interested in a demon part? hm......alright...) my post is a page back or so.

Belinda

I fought down the urge to use sarcasm. "Woah, girl," I told myself,"he could rip you in two without even thinking twice about it. It is not a good idea to get him mad." Not to mention the fact that I was in the enemy camp.

I bit my lip to keep myself focused. Right now I would give anything to be safe in my father's tent with my silly giggling sisters. "Keep heart," I told myself,"Somehow, someway you will find a way out of this."

Turning to the demon, I said,"Tarasque...wasnt it? I think your 'humble abode' is just great but you didnt bring me here to discuss your interior decorating. What is it you want from me?"

Gabriel

Gabriel had had quite enough of waiting. He could sense Michael's distress, and decided to be very foolish. Rising into the air with angelic grace, he headed toward the camp of the Ruler of Hell.

Mustering all his power into as small a point as possible, he passed undetected through the ranks of the lesser demons and devils, and made his way to the main tent.

Pausing at the tent's entrance, he paused for a prayer to God, and entered.

"Satan. I have come for my leader. No more will you torment his good heart with your twisted truths. Face the avenging angel of our lord openly, or let us be gone from here. This battle need not be decided at this time, but you will not find us unwilling should you decide to force the issue."
Gabriel allowed the full aspect of his angelic power to fill him, a divine halo corruscating from his body, his flaming sword ablaze. Whatever the outcome, he would face it at the side of his beloved leader, faithful that right would ultimately prevail.

Death

.oO(Interesting...)
There might be a death here after all. Th Angel had turned on the other, threatening him with the same torment as the demons must endure. Though not likely, there was a chance of a death here... And... What was it to be killed? The Killing Angel, nameless one that had served both her own purpose and that of his lord's... and a mix, dedicated to neither heaven nor hell... Decideing upon his final resting place would be hard; such creatures normally attanied such a perfect mix of good and evil that it was near impossilbe to decipher where they would spend eternity... This might prove to be annoying and more than her time was worth, but the girl decided to take a few momments to watch this engagment.

Toral

The angel of retribution lifted me back to my feet roughly by the collar, and glared at me, making his threat. A threat that was not made idly, I felt sure.

But he might find me difficult to 'send to hell', as he had said in not so many words.

"I'm not your friend - and there aren't many daemons left back in hell" I replied, returning his stare evenly. "And I don't intend to visit those that remain behind while Lucifer and Michaels troops ravage this world with their war."

With that, I grasped his wrist in one hand and pulled his own blade from the hilt at his side, my fast movements now certainly betraying the fact I was not truly human to him. The fact I was holding onto the hilt of such a weapon without a hint of pain on my face surely also provided more than a hint as well.

His eyes followed the mirrored blade with surprise as I held it up.

"I've walked this Earth for many centuries, an outcast from heaven and hell. I'm not bitter about that though, I've learned much from the humans in that time."

I reversed my grip on the blade and offered him the hilt. "Now, if you'd just put me down, I've got to make sure Belinda comes to no harm. I've got too much work vested in her family to let some daemon - lord or not - interfere now."

Death

She sighed. She should have known that nothing would come of this, yet she had decided to stay and watch... She once again turned her pale horse to leave, hopeing that the final confrontation would be over soon, so that she could leave the position of death, and retire to the after-life as a normal human... Or that she could find a sutiable replacement for herself. Even if she had been chosen to lead the intial ride of hell, didn't mean she had to stay the forboding figure of life's eternal end forever.

Suddlenly, something snapped. The thin barrier that kept her own world from that of the mortals broke, that which allowed her to exist everywhere at once failed... all over the world humans, angels and demons failed to die, not matter what was happening to them... And that which kept her from the senses of the Infernal and Divine failed as well.
She snapped her head back as she returned wholy to herself, and let out a wail as her imortal body was once again reduced to being mortal... She was now the mortal incaration of death, and the only way something could truly die now was by her own hands.

The girl appeared out of nowwhere, neat brown hair, clean, pale skin and clothes direct from Wal-mart out of place in this Era... The girl couldn't have been older than 14, sitting astride the pal horse, holding on to her head with one hand, an curved staff held in the other, interuptting the 'conversation' going on between the Angel and the other...

Ohhh... it made so much sense didn't it. She had words sweeter than honey could ever be. She was so warm and loving, everything about her was correct, perfect even. He was such a fool to ever doubt her. Michael let a tear silently fall down his cheek as he turned toward her. That's it, this was over, he would simply look into those wonderful eyes and let her embrace him. This nightmare had to end some time, it might as well be in love.
Then he saw Gabriel.
At once Michael shook himself. Had those thoughts actually entered his mind? A moment's weakness, caught off guard be her charming ways. Even a snake in the grass seems delightful at times. He couldn't help but still feel somewhat drawn to her, but at least now he could control it.
He just hoped he wouldn't have to be alone with her again. There was no telling what would happen if he did.

The Killing Angel

The faintest lick of a smile touched my lips. First the Tarasque and now this half-breed. I haven't felt so challenged in centuries!

"Don't be so confident my friend." I indicted towards my hand that still half gripped his collar. While he had taken my dagger I had grasped another in my palm and it was angled downwards towards the back of his neck.
"Arrogance kills." With those last words I let go.
"What's your name anyway?"
"Toral," He said gruffly, brushing himself down.
"Well you can call me Loner, since everyone else seems to."

I turned and looked towards the mountains again.
"I'm intrigued as to what your real relationship with this Belinda girl. But if you intend to get her back, two heads wil be more useful that one. Perhaps it's time I paid back for my sins."
