The Battle of Good Vs. Evil...

Interlude

Through the tormoil in the land, the battle of humans and themselves, humans vs. the demons, and humans vs. the angels with their resistance...Lucifer's new revelation and newfound pain, the ground trembled and the sky took the form of a great abyss. Lightening streaming and being swallowed up in great black voids.

The Killing Angel

I opened my eyes and took my hand from her chest. She sighed a little, and lay back quietly, relaxed for the first
moment in a long time.

I picked her up and held her in my arms. I carried her back to camp, not wanting to fly for fear of raising attention.
Reaching the camp I shouted out to a guard, "I need some medics here!" They pointed me to a tent and I pushed my way through the people to get her in. A docter showed me an empty bed, and I lay her gently on it.

Leaning forward I whispered in her ear, "I have to go now. If you are ever in need, just call for the Loner and I will hear you."

Stepping outside I quickly ran up to the mountains. Toral must be inside the demon camp by now, and hell might be about to break loose.

Michael stared at Lucifer. She was up to something again, deep in thought as always. Just like an extremely inteligent chess player, about to make a move that will make or break her.
He quickly withdrew his sword, and balanced it between him and Lucifer.
"If you want this fight Lucifer, then let us have it. Not on earth with minions to be fought at, but here. Just you and me, good versus evil."
He looked over at Gabriel, he would need this man's help through this everlasting battle, but he knew it would be accomplished. Life was strange like that, but he had given up trying to figure life out. The more it changed, the more it stayed the same.

"You dare think that I would do so vile a deed, half-breed! I have never and will never disgrace my dead wife! State somethng like that and those centuries of your life and learning will be very useless", the Tarasque screamed.

Belinda

Jumping up from my spot where I was sitting, I put myself between the two 'men'. I did not know what was happening or what Toral was talking about but I did get the jist that I had been used by higher beings without my knowledge and this infuriated me until I did not think about what I was doing.

"Now hold on right there!," I said not backing off of either of them. My temper was up and I was going to finish this,"What is going on here?"

My gaze swept to Toral and I eyed him suspiciously. "We will talk of what you have been doing to my family later. Right now is not the time. But I have no idea what power you are talking about. I am simply a human-no more."

As I talked, my anger turned almost to a calm. I felt like I was in the eye of the storm and, for once, I felt in complete control of the situation.

"Now, I am tired of being pushed around and I am going to go and leave this cursed camp and go back home to my family. Is that clear? And you," I pointed to Tarasque,"Are not going to stop me."

As I pointed to the demon, I saw to my astonishment, a white light flare up and wrap around him. It held him in it's glare as if it was a rope of pure light and I stepped back from the sight.

"Toral," I said in almost a whisper,"What did you just do to him?"

Toral

"I didn't do anything" I replied, looking at her and smiling, "that, Belinda, was you. You say you are human, nothing more. Perhaps so. But perhaps that is more than enough."

I turned to Tarasque, who was struggly vainly against the soulfire bonds that held him, though I didn't know how long they would last.

"I don't know anything about your wife, daemon. And frankly, I don't care to, though if I insulted you truly, then I apologise - though I have rarely heard anything but lies from the lips of your kind" I said.

"Now Belinda, I think we should get out of this cursed hellspawn camp, as you suggested, and back to your family."

I took on my 'true' form then - a single ivory horn curling up from my right brow, over the glowing red eye there, opposite the calm blue eye of my angelic heritage. Wings, feathered and black, unfurled from my back. I stepped towards her, and took her hands.

"Put your arms around my waist, then lets go" I said, beating my wings, as she did as I had asked, carrying us aloft - tearing my way through the tent fabric with the talons that adorned my right hand.

The Tarasque suddenly let out a terrible laugh. He shredded the soulfire as if it was paper. He suddenly understood it's secret! "Come to me, half-breed, so I can strangle you with your intestines!" he roared. Somewhere, deep inside him, underneath the sudden battle-rage, lay a struggling Tarasque, the one that didn't want to kill, the one that had conquered him over when he first saw Belinda. An orb of fire enmveloped him, and his huge form stood where a handsome angel had been. He could reach out now and touch Toral's flying foot. But instead, he spread his wings and rocketed into the air, his inraged face stopping three feet away from Toral's. Suddenly, his normally dragon-like wings shrunk into him, and he plummeted into the ground. A large black tentacle suddenly reached out if his back, then another. And they began to sprout. 30 in total. And somehow, he could use them like wings. And also, like tentacles of death. These wonderful new wings could crush steel like bone. They were about 12 feet long in total and only about three feet thick each. They grew in two rows, like wings would. He coiled one around a lance, and brought it to him. He laughed long and hard, and reveled in their feeling. He would have to thank Belinda for casting this soulfire on him.

Belinda

My mind was in a whirl as I held on to Toral and we lifted into the air. I didnt think I would ever get used to this type of transportation but that was not what was uppermost in my mind.

Suddenly Tarasque was in front of us in the form of something terrible. Toral was about to fly me away from the scene in front of us but I shouted up to him,"No! If you do he will have the advantage and he will kill you because you are trying to protect me. Let me down now!"

He did not want to but my thrashing about was going to make him drop me so he had no choice but to land. Turning to him, I said,"Go and get whomever you need to help us but I am going to deal with whatever he has turned into." A wan smile appeared on my face,"You said I had the power, now lets see if it is true."

I turned away from him before he could say anything to stop me. It may not take any more than my reverting to a female instead of a hot headed warrior-wannabe. After all it was a mere mortal woman who had conquered him long ago if his story was true.

The Tarasque suddenly flew into the air, covering the distance in mere seconds. "Oh yes. These wings are a much higher upgrade", he laughed loudly. He took off towards the forest, taking the time to try out his wings.

Belinda

Shouting up to Tarasque or whatever it was he had turned into, I yelled up at him,"Stop it! Stop it now! Is this the way your wife would have wanted you to act? To be? I am here of my own free will and if you want to talk to me you have to calm down and speak to me in a civil tone. Either that or I leave now! Your choice."

Gabriel

"Michael, my brother! What has she done? What is happening?" Gabriel allows his sword to come to his hand, blazing with holy fire. He knows not what has just transpired, but, with God and Michael at his side, he is ready to face it.

OOC:I'm comfoozelated. Lava, what does your post mean?

Lucifer. Serindi.

(apparently you both were confooselated? lol...good word...basically, God had no hope that Lucifer would ever be loved. He told her that as long as one person loved her, she wouldn't bear the pain of the world. Cause ya know, satan and hell...torment. She would be the one to feel all of the pain of hell. She still had the love of Michael. Until he doubted it. So, God kept his word and now that she didn't have love, she was sent the pain of the world. Hence the fact she dropped to her knees and is now experiencing the pain of the world. Maybe I thought too hard about my post. I confused even myself. Got it now? basically, Lucifer will now feel all the pain in the world. She is on the ground right about now. I'll wait till you guys post again...unless you are waiting for my move.)

Serindi:
The kind man had placed me in a hospital bed. He left, without a trace. I stayed there, I slept. For how long, I don't know. When I awoke. I was bathed, my hair combed, around me a new garment, white as snow. A sash beneath my breasts. I got up too quickly. My head spun. I glanced down, sandles adorned my feet. I got up, washed my face.

I walked out of the camp. The ground trembled. The sky above was creepy. It was black, yet the world was lit up. I sensed fear in the land. I saw animals running out of the forest.

I saw a young gentleman staring. "Sir, do you know where the man who brought me here went?"

He pointed. "He isn't one of human flesh. I'd advise you to stay around here, Lucifer is angry. Why else would the world tremble so much?"

"She isn't angry. We would be gone already." I replied.

I headed in the direction he had told me.

Gabriel

"Michael, we both felt it. The truth of her words. Our Master has seen fit to allow her to bear all the pain of all the mortal realms."

Gabriel looks at the crumpled form of their Adversary, and is moved by the sight. "Brother, I am... troubled by this. Surely, our Master had his reasons for this, but, still... To allow her to suffer thus, after losing the only love she retained throughout her time away from Heaven? Is this just? Can He be testing her again, and us, as well? She is obviously helpless now. It lies within our power to end this war with a single sword stroke..."

The angel looks to his leader, questioningly, awaiting a reply.

Lucifer.

(WOW, Good post Neale.)

Lucifer:

I knew that pain was something humans felt. I knew they inflicted it upon themselves. I never knew how it truelly felt. In fact, I felt like a sappy movie. I didn't care how much the physical pain hurt, it was the pain in my psychological state.

I heard them speaking. I wanted to kill myself. My wings wrapped around me. My body visably trembling.

The pain was still there, but I struggled to my knees. After hearing their words, the zing of the sword.

I looked at Micheal with sadness. "As you wish." I told him, that was before I was stricken with another pang. Clutching my chest, my demeanor wasn't wrecked, the only change in my appearance is the dullness of my eyes.

Stop loving her for one minute and look what happens.
Michael simply stared down at her body, this was certainly a dilemma. He couldn't leave her like this, could he? Was this the one weakness of Lucifer that would allow them to finally win this great war?
Lucifer's greatest weakness was love, that was irony for you.
Still, he couldn't allow himself to take this any further. He had a moral obligation to uphold. God wouldn't win by using some scheme to get his ways. That was the way of things, he won by courage and heart and love, not by scheming.
Michael planted the sword in the ground next to Lucifer's body. He lifted her body towards his, their eyes searching into each other.
"It's been a long time," he whispered. A faint smile came to his lips. Why? He couldn't say. Perhaps it was feeling so comfortable and warm in those arms of hers. She always had a way of doing that.
Michael kissed her briefly, letting their lips touch in a round of fancy. His heart leapt for joy, although outwardly hardly a change could be seen. It had been so long since they kissed, nearly a thousand years. Yet he still knew every curve of her lips.
Michael backed away from her slightly. He looked at Gabriel doubtfully, but full of hope. Whatever was going to happen, they could defeat it together.
He hoped.

lucifer

(ooc. Serindi is gonna wander till someone finds a use for her....There is going to be a new demon gal in town. Call her...mellow yellow........wait...that isn't it...call her....Inca...I was wondering what you guys thought of this: I probably won't use it, but hey...Say that Lucifer lost her power over the underworld, that God sent a new demon/ess...in disguise, to take over, say Lucifer was helping you, she had the strategies, she had the obedience of a few demons...she had to struggle to get the angels to trust her, ahh...ignore me.....)

Lucifer;

I felt the familiar strong arms lift me. I braced myself. I looked into his eyes. Then he kissed me, Thank The Heavens that he was holding me, or I would of fell.

My eyes told him I was happy, but the pain wouldn't fade. God also gave me the 'gift' of tolerating the pain, and not dieing.

The kiss brought us back to the normal world, where time didn't stand still.

ooc: Ok, IM Going To Play Here now. *l* Sorry For the LATE Entrance, But It's all for a reason.
I need to knwo (because im too damn lazy to read the whole thing!) who is Playing Who, Whats going on, Who's In Bed with Who, and Before I Make a charicter, what Is needed?!

oh roland...

(ooc. alright, no one is sleeping with anyone yet. NOr is there prospect...Lucifer is still in love with Micheal, however, Micheal lost his love for her, so Lucifer is now inflicted with all the pain in the world. She may have also lost reign over hell. Gabriel is helping Micheal out, Lucifer's army is enormous, and ready for battle. We have a few half/half good/bad guys...Toku is Raphael, another angel...Belinda is a human who seems to have intrigued The Tarasque...played by Morgoth...Kepic plays a half demon (I THINK) named Talor...Ask For More is playing the killing angel, The three are following Belinda...and I am also playing Serindi, a human girl who has a way with animals, she is wandering and trying to find the man who helped her...You can be whatever oyu want. There is disturbance in the land however because Lucifer lost Michael's love. Micheal, Gabriel, and lucifer are all together in the demon camp. Read pages 1-2 for bios...etc...that will help A LOT)

Gabriel

As they faded back into the ebb and flow of time, Gabriel made a decision...

Knowing they had only moments before the stronger of Lucifer's minions realized what had happened, Gabriel turned to Michael and their former foe: "Michael, Light-bringer, I must tell you both something. Michael, my brother, I love you. You know this to be so. Once, I, too, loved our sister, Lucifer. Her betrayal of our Master ruined that love, I thought forever. My love for you, even, was lessened by your seemingly foolish continued love for her. Now, I have seen her through your eyes, and I am shamed. Your pure love has remained true to who she really was all the time, regardless of the depths to which she had fallen."

The powerful angel's body was covered with the glistening tears pouring from his eyes.

"Lady, Queen of the Angels, if the love of a foolish, inconstant seraph be of any comfort to you now, know that I do love you once more. I ask you to allow me to share your Divine burden of pain. Let me help you, then we can begin to unravel the mess our Master's plan has made of the mortal world."

Gabriel stretched out a hand to Lucifer, palm up, waiting her response.

Lucifer.

I couldn't believe it, after so many years....so many bitter years. Love was truelly mine, my pain wouldn't go away. I couldn't give him the pain. That was cruel. I wanted to accept his embrace.
I saw the love in his eyes. A single tear rolled down my cheek, it gleamed red in the morning sun.

I reached for his hand, then suddenly a band of demons, lowly demons, in which my camp mostly consisted of, came in a loud rumble.

I sneered and whispered, "be gone." to the demons. NOTHING HAPPENED!

My eyes looked searchingly towards Micheal. Then at Gabriel. I began to speak in the tounge of the heavenly. The ancient speech. They still stayed. They sneered at me.
I was perterbed.
I was panicing. My words had always been the most powerful next to God's.
No one ever had the power to disobey me.
I looked wide-eyed at Gabriel and Micheal. (ooc. Only a few of the demons will be loyal to me.)

I spoke to them in the ancient terms, one no one but those who were or once were in heaven would know of. "What is happening? Why are they not fumbling and ceasing to exist? I never even had to say the words. "

I tried to summon some of my demons. They wouldn't come.

I grasped Gabriel's hand. "My power..."

At the mention of his wife, his battle rage suddenly subsided. "I am sorry", said the Tarasque, his new wings coiling around and bending and flexing. "Thank you for the new wings, though", he chuckled. "I would wish to speak to you in the forest below, without the Half-breed", he said, gliding down into the forest and sheathing his sword.

Belinda

I sighed and walked into the forest. As I got far enough in that there was no one else around, I turned to Tarasque and crossed my arms in front of me. Gazing up at him, I said,"Okay I am listening. What is it that you want?"

Shit, it was gone. Michael quickly took out his sword, prepared to battle. He wouldn't let them get to her, no doubt, not now not after all those years. To think, she still loved him, what a fool he was to doubt that.
How could it be? How?
Michael shook his head, best not to think of such things. There were more immediate things to think of now. The safety of Lucifer's for one. He never thought he would say this, but....
"Come Gabriel, we must save Lucifer."

Gabriel

Gabriel allowed himself a rare smile and chuckle. Despite the gravity of their situation, the irony of it all was amazing: The two most powerful seraph in the Heavenly Host, saving Lucifer from the forces of Hell...

"Michael, Lucifer... There is but one way for you to escape. While I provide a distraction, you will take Lucifer and flee through the back of the tent..."

Gabriel traced a mystic sigil in the air before Michael and Lucifer, momentarily stunning them into immobility. "I'm sorry, but there is no other way. You are both far too valuable to lose. I? I'm just a horn player, and I've already blown the last trump. Time for one last solo."

Gabriel's smile never left his face as he summoned his trumpet, and handed it to Lucifer, placing it in her numbed grasp. "Lady, take good care of this... Once, you were a fine muscian in our choirs. You will be again, God willing. Play it, and remember me."

The other two angels looked at him, shock draining their faces. "I love you both, you know? Farewell."

Before they had a chance to recover, Gabriel turned to the opening of the tent, and summoned his full panoply of angelic might. Clad in armor which shone too brightly for any demon or devil to look at directly, he strode out of the tent into the jaws of Hell on Earth.

"Your Mistress has fallen! Her power is erased from the Book! Face me, face the Wrath Of God's Judgement, you sniveling worms!"

His spirit soaring, knowing with a divine certainty that his friends would live to carry on the fight, Gabriel dived into the midst of the most powerful forces of Evil to mar the face of this mortal Earth. Shining balls of Heavenly fire flew from his fingers, shattering entire ranks of the assembled forces of Evil. On and on he fought, his blazing sword wreaking havoc in their midst. No quarter would be sought this day, and none given.

Still, he was but one angel. The demons and devils were many. This day, an Archangel died, a smile on his face that nothing could erase.

*All of the Press, none of the Benefits.*

*he sighed softly, staring down at the dying man, he knew there was no mor he could do for him, He saved the Miricle Potions for the real emergencys, he stood, giving the man his last rites, and walked away, leaning heavily on his ashen staff, He was the last of the fallen....The rest, had died, fled, or been killed in the Firey Apocolypse..he sighed softly to himself, staring down at the grave of one such man...his mentor..*

*he was a healer by any and all accounts, he healed hearts, mended wounds, saved lives, and when all else failed, Would kill to protect these things..Such was his quest, and such was the only thing that would ever return him to the gates..Where he had sacraficed his wings for one of true heart and great spirit..His brother.*

*he stared out, holdng the staff lightly in his two hands, his eyes soft and almost attatched to the world, He could feel everyones pain everywhere, indeed, it was part of his curse, and he lived with it. slowly he walked towards the demon Camp, where a high concintration of this energy had gathered, strange it had. He wanted to know who was in that much pain...He didnt know, all he knew was somthing had happened, and it was bad.*
