The Blood Scorpions of Socorro Texas (reserved)

The boys immediately surrounded you laughing and asking a million questions that became a bit of a blurr for Nate as Popeye leaned into him and said, "We got a situation?"

"Bradley?" he said as he felt Sav's hand and arm wrap around his own protectively. The boys often could be a bit overwhelming at first.

Popeye shook his head saying, "Sort of. The front desk clerk saw our van the time Nutsack brought you guys food. It puts us on the radar for the killing."

Gears growled, "Shit. I was afraid of that. Okay... let me think a few minutes."

Nate see a reflection of a window cross my path and look up and my heart sinkens. He growls as he watches to patrol cars pull up and say, "It's the cops."

The laughter and joking immediately stop and they circle around Sav, facing the door. No one will hurt the Prez's wife.

Savannah stared at all the men surrounding her at the mention of the police showing up. The mix of comfort and apprehension was such a bizarre feeling. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at that point, it was never ending. Maybe they should’ve just gone to Mexico City, she thought.

Then there was the knock at the door.

“Open up Carson,” a voice came from the other side.

Savannah sat in a small interrogation room at a cold metal table in one of the two chairs. She watched the policeman pace back and and forth for a good minute before he stopped and leaned on the table in front of her. “So where’s Bradley?”

She shrugged. “No idea,” she said truthfully.

There was more back and forth, with Savannah refusing to give any information without having a lawyer present. After a good 30 minutes, he left and her father walked in. “Oh my god, Sunshine, are you okay?” He walked around the table and gave her a loose hug that she half returned. “Did he hurt you? Where’s Bradley?”

She sighed, sinking lower into her seat. “I don’t know, Dad.”

“Savannah, so help me, if you know where Carson and his gang took Bradley–”

“He was going to rape me!” she yelled in a stress-induced outburst. “After my fight with mom, I was gonna go to Brianna’s for the day and Bradley started following me, and he kidnapped me at gunpoint. He took me to that stupid bed and breakfast and tried to rape me! I was able to get his gun away from him. I shot him… And he drove off, leaving me there…” A sob broke free of her.

Andrew studied her for what seemed like an eternity. His arms were crossed over his chest, eyebrows raised at her, eyeing the ring on her left hand. “And marrying Carson?”

She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. “I didn’t know who else to call… I couldn’t call you, I couldn’t call mom, both of you have been hellbent on protecting me from the one person who has actually kept me safe.” She leveled a glare at her father. “You’ve always been more concerned about what everyone else thinks and getting ahead in politics, that Adam and I just got pushed to the side, our problems swept under the rug. If you even cared at all, none of this would have ever happened.”

“Sweetie, your mom and I do care–”

“No you don’t! Nathan cares about me. He got me home after Bradley hit me. When Bradley came to the hospital, he was there to make sure I stayed safe. He got there faster than the police. All you asked was if calling the cops was necessary. You didn’t even ask if I was okay. I knew he would be the one to show up. I’d be dead in that hotel right now if it weren’t for him.” Her father tried to interrupt again, starting to say something about the marriage and nullifying it. “No, I’m not doing that, I’m staying with him.”

Detective Ricardo Montoya and Detective Alice Harris turned slowly and looked at each other from the observation room as they watched the Mayor talk to Savannah. Ricardo then shifted his eyes towards the other agent standing in the room, ATF agent Jack Wolfe. Alice said, "Did I hear her correctly? 'I'd be dead in that hotel right now if it weren't for him' "

"She just placed Nate at the scene of the crime." Jack said as he stepped to the window and studied the two in the room going through their domestic issue.

"That is what I heard too." Ricardo said with a grin.

"That is enough to put him on a 72 hour hold." Alice said calmly.

"It's not enough to keep him though. You have to get her to break. She is clearly covering for him. Trying to use the marital loophole as their technique. It's got to be what they are doing." Jack said before turning his attention to the two agents.

Ricardo said, "She admitted to shooting him. So... let's say she did shoot him, then she contacts Carson here who gets rid of the body. Then he sneaks her off to marry her to give her a legal loophole to prevent her from being forced to testify."

James chuckled saying, "They are morons." This got a nod from each of the detectives. The Marital loophole if the crime took place during the time they were married, NOT before the marriage. Their plan wouldn't work.

Ricardo tapped on the one way glass and caught the attention of the Mayor and he stood back up and left the room. Stepping into the interrogation room, he said, "Yes?"

"We are going to hold Carson for 72 hours. He will not be allowed any outside contact." Jack said calmly.

"Good. Bastard deserves it for what he did to my daughter!" He growled.

"We are charging her with second degree murder and conspiracy to hide a felony. She just admitted she shot him. Do you really believe that Bradley is capable of rape?" Alice said.

"What?!?! NO!" The Mayor said.

"She claims he tried to rape her but the hotel showed no signs of assault at all. Best case scenario, she called Carson before hand somehow and he got there, shot him and hid the body. Most likely scenario, she did shoot him then called Carson who cleaned up the scene." Ricardo said calmly.

"NO! I won't allow this!" HE said spun to face Savannah who sat quietly in the room.

"Out of your hands sir." Jack said calmly.

"Please. Let me talk to her again. Let me explain her situation to her. Do what you want with Carson, but not my baby girl. Please." He said looking desperate.

They looked at each other and finally Ricardo nodded and said, "You have 2 hours. Make it work."

The Mayor scrambled out of the room and headed back into the interrogation room with Savannah.

2 minutes later, Nathan walked into the room holding a tray of coffee cups and a bag of bagels and said, "Well?"

"She placed you at the scene. We cranked up the heat on her dad and her to see if she will break. You wanted to know how she would react, now is the time. Thanks!" Ricardo said with a grin as he took a coffee and bagel.

"Still not going to tell us what happened to Bradly though, are you?" Alice said taking another coffee.

"Nope" Nathan said as Jack too the last coffee and bagel.

Jack eyed him saying, "This is a bastard move you know that right?"

Nathan turned his eyes onto Savannah and watched her listening to her dad and he said, "I know. I have to know I can trust her."

He knew he was quite safe from any prosecution though as he owned all three of these officers of the law. Sure, he would sit in holding for 72 hours and sure they are going to get all in his grill, but they all knew he wouldn't break. It was only Savannah that could break and he needed to see if she would. If she did, he knew it was a mistake marrying her and would make her disappear. If she didn't, then charges would be dropped and they would all go home in a few days. No one knew about his little connections to the detectives at the moment.

All four men stood at the window and watched.

“They want to charge you with second-degree murder and conspiracy to hide a felony. Is he really worth it?”

Savannah’s stomach tied itself into a knot at the charges. She barely had anything on her record aside from a speeding ticket a couple years prior that she couldn’t fight her way out of. Now here she was looking at probably at least 10 years in prison. “He didn’t do anything.”

"He killed Bradley, and now you’re covering up for him!"

"No he didn't. I called him after Bradley left and he got me out of there before Bradley could come back and hurt me."

"What did he do with the body?" her father asked.

"What body? Bradley left! How many times do I have to say that?"

"Second-degree murder and conspiracy to hide a felony, Savannah. Think about that!"

"How can they charge me with murder if they don't even know where he is? He drove off!” She rubbed her hands over her face and sighed in frustration. She’d dug herself into a hole and wasn’t sure how to get out of it. “How long till our lawyer gets here?”

It was another long, silent 30 minutes before their lawyer, Alana Martinez, appeared in the room with them. Again, Savannah had to recap the details of everything. “I told him to stop, but he kept coming towards me. And then I shot at him.”

“You ‘shot at’ him or you ‘did shoot’ him?” Alana asked without looking up from the notepad she was furiously scribbling across. When she didn’t receive an answer, she looked up at Savannah. “There’s a big difference between ‘shot at’ and ‘actually shooting’ a person, one of which can help your case here. Did the bullet or bullets enter his body?”

Savannah shook her head slowly, realizing what the woman across the table was getting at. “I don’t think so, no.” She paused again and received a look from the lawyer to clarify further. “I didn’t see any blood. He didn’t… You know, flinch or act like he was in pain. He called me a crazy bitch and left the room, and left in his car.”

Carson listened further with the interview and then said, "I think I have heard what I needed to hear. Gentlemen... ma'am." He smiled, setting his coffee down, he slipped back out of the room and back to the guard on cell watch who opened up his cell and let him back in. He knew she was going to hold out for him now. However, he was going to need to keep an eye on things just in case. It could be turned around on him in a quick instant.

Medals walked up to the cell an hour later saying, "Hey Prez... how ya doin?"

"Hey Medals... you know, shit happens. Listen, I need a favor from you and the boys. Where is Sav?" He asked.

"She was released. Not sure where." He said and added, "I have nutsack following her dad and Conman tailing her. I will call them and find out more when I get out of here and get word to you."

Carson nodded saying, "Okay good. Don't put any pressure on her. Just let her know the boys are there to help her. Make your presence known, but not threatening. I hope she went back to my place but she could have gone back to her dad's."

Medal's nodded and said, "Okay. I will keep you posted." He stood back up and headed out of the cell block and on his way.

Not even 10 minutes later and to his great surprise, he got notice that Sav was here to visit her in the visitor's center. He smiled, let them cuff him up and led him out to the visitor's center where he sat down at a table across from her. He looked up at her saying, "How ya doin hun?"

All. Charges. Dropped.

Her father kept Ms. Martinez on retainer for a reason. She was a bulldog and knew just how to make the law work in her father's favor, or in this case Savannah’s favor. With the previous police report when Bradley had shown up to the hospital, plus a restraining order from a previous girlfriend on grounds of abuse, it was determined that Savannah had used justifiable self defense. It took about an hour, but she was finally released. Only to find out Nate was being held for 3 days...

Sav refused to go home with her father, which sparked another fight outside the police station. She called for a taxi to go back to the house and left her father standing on the sidewalk. She'd get an earful the next time she saw him or her mother, but she knew if she went home with him, she'd be stuck in a different kind of jail.

It took only a few minutes into the ride for her to realize she was being followed by someone on a Harley. One of the MC guys she rightly assumed when she was dropped off. There were still a couple bikes sitting in front of the house, and he parked right next to the group. The front door opened before her foot even hit the porch and she gave a tired ‘thank you’ when Popeye stepped aside to let her into the house. There were about four garbage bags sitting at the front door, and the front rooms of the house were noticeably cleaner.

She was still glancing around when cold metal was placed into her hand. A key. She looked up at the large man who gave her a reserved smile. “Figured you might need a key to your own home.” He seemed to hesitate as she turned the key over in her hand. “One of us will be here with you till he’s home.”

It didn’t take long to realize that Popeye was a big teddy bear underneath the tough guy exterior. He was still apprehensive of her, she could see that plain as day as well, but there some of those rough edges he had weren't quite as sharp as he made them appear. She knew Gears had a soft side, but it was clamped down much tighter and she’d only been able to get glimpses of it over the past few days. “That won’t be necessary,” she said with a sigh. It wasn’t her home, not yet. It had been maybe 30 minutes they were in the house before the party and afterparty arrived. She looked up at him. “I appreciate it, really. But I think I’ll just sleep at the hospital till then. I’ve got shifts the next 3 days anyway. Might be a good distraction.” It would be something ‘normal’ in her life. Plus, she had half the mind to see if she could get a new mattress before he was home.

30 minutes later, she found herself at the police station again, sat opposite of Nathan at the small table. Never in a million years would she have imagined herself visiting someone in jail. Or being threatened with second-degree murder charges. Or throwing herself in front of those charges to protect the president of the Blood Scorpions. But here she was. She knew this likely wouldn't be her last time sitting at that table, visiting him, but hoped it would be few and far in between. God willing, everything else would die in the past like Bradley and not be repeated.

Savannah took a deep breath trying to calm herself down before giving him a weak smile. "I've had better days…" She tried so hard to keep her voice even, but it still had an edge of anxiety to it. But at least now she was able to be honest. “How are you?” He was fine, she knew he was. He was used to this, getting booked in, held for a couple days, and let go. Still, she was placing the blame on herself.

Carter leaned forward in his chair and reached out and took her hands in his. He said, "I am good. They gave me the presidential suite back there."

Seeing her smile a bit, he leaned in and said, "I have been worried sick about you. The police here can get kind of rough with people they deem 'troublemakers'. Are you okay? Did you get hassled too badly?"

He listened to her story and validated it in his mind with what he had seen and finally squeezed her hands together saying, "You did good though... I hear they dropped the charges. No body, no car, self defense. That's good." He winked to her.

He fell silent a minute though and said, "Listen, I know the last day hasn't been ... the stuff of dreams. You may have some second thoughts about us. I umm... wouldn't blame you if you don't register the license. I mean. I want you to. I want you to real bad. I want to share my life with you if you want it, but my life is pretty rough usually so if you want out, I get it."

His eyes lowered to their hands as she pulled her hands away...

She tried so many times to give him an out, and now here Nate was giving her one. A sliver of offense ran through her that he thought she would just walk away at this point. She'd already planned on dropping the marriage license off at the county clerk in the morning. “After that bullshit, you really think I’m going to walk out?”

She paused, knowing she needed to choose her words carefully, fully aware of the cameras that sat up in the corners of the room. Savannah held her left hand up, pointing to the ring on her fourth finger. “‘As long as we both shall live.’ We may have been a bit out of order and unconventional about how we went about things, but I don’t make promises that I don’t intend to keep.”

Nathan could only smile and said, "I love you, Mrs. Carter." She would be able to see in his eyes that he meant every syllable of it.

"Time's up Nate." One of the guards said looking mildly awkward as he stepped up to him. Nate looked back over at him and said, "2 more minutes please."

He slowly glanced to Savannah and then nodded and backed up a minute. Nate said, "I asked Popeye to give you a key to the house. That is our house now. I can get a moving crew to your parent's house to help you move out of there if you want. I am so sorry about the horrible introduction to the home. It's our home now so anything you want to do to it, paint the walls, change the carpets or furniture, or whatever, you have my blessing to do. Popeye can get you whatever funds you need to make it happen."

He slowly stood up and gently took her hand and kissed it softly and tenderly. I gently let her hand go and as he backed away, he glanced about the room at the others having visitors and he said, "Hey ya'll! That's my wife! That hot chick right there... she is my wife ya'll!!!" This got several chuckles and smiles from everyone. As he reached the door once more, he glanced at her and mouthed the words, 'I love you' and then he was gone.

Savannah felt her face go hot at his exclamation, and avoided making eye contact with the other people in the room. Still, a sheepish smile bloomed across her face, and there was that familiar flutter of her heart when he mouthed ‘I love you’ once more before disappearing through the door.

10 minutes later, Savannah was meeting Rosa in the parking lot of the hospital. She took a stuffed duffle bag from the older Mexican woman after pulling out of a long hug. “I’m okay Rosa. I am more than okay,” she assured. “Let me know if Maria can help clean the house once or twice a week, we would really appreciate it.” She would appreciate it, knowing it was an old woman who would stay fully clothed. The women said their goodbyes and Sav made her way inside to the administration offices. Finding the office she needed with the door still propped open, she knocked on the door jam. “Hey Ron,” she greeted her superior with slight hesitation.

Ronald Linquest looked up over his computer monitor and gave a look of surprise. “Savannah? What are you doing here? You’re not scheduled till tomorrow.”

She relaxed slightly, hoping the basic question meant he, along with the rest of the town, wasn’t fully aware of everything going on, at least not yet. “I know. I was hoping… Well... I know the on-call rooms are supposed to be for the doctors. As long as I’m not in the way, can I use one for the next couple nights?” Asking the request out loud made her feel foolish. She wouldn’t be surprised if he mentioned her just getting a hotel room, or staying with her parents. Her parents’ house was out of the question at this point. A hotel, while the easiest option, was not somewhere she wanted to be alone for the next two nights. “I just got a new place, but need to get a little bit of work done before I fully move in. I’ll make sure to keep my stuff in my locker or the car during my shifts so the room is open for someone else.” She tried to stay vague, hoping he wouldn’t probe her for further information. She was done with interrogations for the night, too tired and out of patience.

Ron opened his mouth, looking like he was about to ask a question, but then closed it, reconsidering his words. “I guess as long as you’re not putting someone out, it shouldn’t be a problem,” he finally said. “I had no idea you were planning on moving.”

She gave half a laugh. “I wasn’t, it was kind of spur of the moment. But thank you, I really appreciate it.” She stood back from the door, trying to keep the conversation short. He stood and she held up her hand to stop him. “You don’t need to walk me down there, I can find an open room on my own.” He was always so considerate of the staff, taking their needs into consideration, befriending them, walking them to and from various areas in the hospital or out to their car. There were numerous times she’d walked the halls of that hospital chatting with him, or walking out to the parking lot together at the end of long shifts to keep company in early hour mornings. “Thanks again.”

The third time was the charm, finding an unoccupied on-call after trying two other locked doors. She locked this one behind her, dumping the overfilled duffle bag on the floor, and found her way into the small bathroom to take a shower.

70 hours later

"Nate... get up! We are releasing you." Detective Ricardo Montoya said as he walked up to the cell and looked inside.

Nathan was laying on his cot, staring up a the ceiling, fingers interlocked behind his head. He had slept well last night. With a grin, he slid his feet off the bed to the floor and slipped into his sandals and got up. He walked over to the door with a shit eating grin on his face and said, "Nice to see you Dick. You tapped your partner yet?"

Detective Alice Harris stood just out of sight and Ricardo gave a impulsive side glance towards her. Nathan shot a look to Alice and saw her face flush slightly. He grinned big and said, "Oh... you are hitting it? Nice!"

Ricardo growled, "Let's go asshole." He opened the cell and pushed the chuckling man out of his cell and off to discharge. It took him about an hour and a half before he was back in his jeans, shirt, shoes and most importantly, his cut. He felt at home with that leather vest on! He was given his discharge papers and then led to the side door of the jail where he felt the free sunshine burn on his face.

This obstacle had past and he would be ready to take on the next challenge. He heard his crew standing out by their bikes as they clapped and cheered him on! His smile was wide as he approached his crew. Someone seemed to be missing though as he glanced around and looked to Popeye saying, "Where is Sav bro?"

Popeye glanced about the rest of the crew a bit nervously. Nate said, "Popeye... tell me."

Savannah leaned back against a plain white wall, pulling the blue nitrile gloves from her hands, and closed her eyes. Nearly two hours of working on a 4 year old boy who got into something under the sink, ultimately sending the child into cardiac arrest. They finally got him stable enough to get sent up to the PICU.

"Rough one?" a voice asked.

Her eyes opened and she found Ron standing in front of her. "Uh… Yeah. He's getting moved up to PICU, we think he'll pull through." The man in front of her held out one of two cups of coffee he was holding which she took. "Thanks." She took a quick sip of the warm liquid and sighed, hoping the small dose of caffeine could get her through the last bit of her shift. She had about an hour to go, or that's what she thought till she checked her watch. Her shift ended an hour ago.

"Crap! I gotta go. Sorry!" She ran off down the hall towards the parking garage.

She flew into the small parking lot in front of the police station, narrowly missing someone else backing out of a parking space, and rushed inside.

He'd already been released.

She called Nate. No answer. Her heart sank. She wanted to be there. Why had no one tried to get ahold of her?

I'm sorry, I got stuck on a code at the hospital. Where are you?

There was one of two places he'd be, but she only remotely felt comfortable at one. She drove over to the house. She was there early in the morning, letting Maria in to get some final cleaning in and getting the new mattress into the bedroom, and Maria stayed while she went to work to finish up cleaning.

Carson, after a quick trip to the club, was given back his phone and a quick update about club business. There was a drug run his posse was going to have to run in a couple of days. A fast food style truck would be making a delivery just over the border of a variety of heroine and coke. His crew would pick it up and take it up into Utah where they would deliver it to the cartel in Salt Lake City. But that was in a couple of days. For now, he had some play before him.

He climbed onto his bike when he saw the text come in from Savannah and he smiled and responded back, "Heading home now."

10 minutes later, he pulled into his drive and smiled when he saw her car in the drive with him. It was a sight he could easily get used to seeing. He killed the engine and headed to the front door of the home and was met by her at the door. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her openly and deeply! Yes, he needed this woman and there was no doubt in his mind about that.

When their kiss was done, he closed that front door and reached to her scrub top and began to pull it off her body! He said, "Honey... I am home." He had no idea there was another woman in the living room looking embarassed...

"Wait wait wait," Savannah said slightly panicked, her hands frantically pushing his away from her top. She stepped back and motioned towards the couch on the opposite wall, where an older Latina woman sat, who lifted a hand in a small greeting. "Maria, this is Nate. Nate, this is Maria. Maria is gonna be cleaning the house a couple times a week for us." Sav moved to a bag that was hanging by the front door and pulled out her wallet to retrieve a few $100 bills, and placed them in the older woman's hand to pay for the past several hours of work, who had stood and made her way towards the front door. "See you Monday."

The locks had barely been turned on the front door before Gears' hands were on her again and his mouth found hers. He tore the dark blue scrub top over her head before pinning her back against the front door. Savannah gasped at the coolness of the door against her skin, which Nate took advantage of the parting of her lips to plunge his tongue into her mouth. His hands smoothed up her sides, before encouraging her arms above her head. She laced her fingers with his, but kept them there pressed against the door.

"I got us a new bed," she breathed against his lips.

There was a mischievous glint in his eyes, and a smirk curling his lips. She already knew his overall intentions for the evening, there was no mistaking the hard bulge that she could feel through his jeans. He didn’t say anything, just hoisted her over his shoulder and kept hold of her legs as he walked towards the bedroom. The move drew a shriek of surprise and an onslaught of giggles from Savannah.

"A new bed?" Nate said as he chuckled and ran her back to the bedroom. He came to a quick stop as he stepped inside and realized that his own bed from the bachelor days was long gone now and in it's place was grey canopy bed frame to go along with the mattresses, which looked much thick and more comfy than my old ones. He dropped her down gently onto her feet and looked at the framework of the bed. This was not cheap. It was thick square steel columns as well as the canopy. He thought she had to have the entire club help her get this thing set up.

He turned and looked to her saying, "This is... amazing." Without a moment's hesitation, he reached up and grabbed the canopy cross bar and did a quick pull up on it... then four more. Pull ups were a strong suit of his when it came to fitness. He let the bar go and dropped to his feet and spun back to you saying, "This is incredible! Come here!"

He took her hand and pulled her towards him, putting her hand on his bulge and said, "He has really missed you Mrs. Carson." At the same time, his hand slipped back under her scrub and with a flick of his fingers, had unfastened her bra! He said, "This is the welcome home I have been looking forward too all weekend!"

Savannah rolled her eyes with a smirk, but still gave him a small squeeze through his jeans. "Glad you like it." She pulled the scrub top over her head before tossing it along with her bra off to the side. She pressed her lips to his and slid the leather vest off his shoulders and then pulled his shirt up his torso, which Nate pulled it the rest of the way over his head. Her fingers moved quickly to undo his belt and work the button of his jeans loose. His hands coasted down her sides, sending goosebumps running across her skin, and his thumbs hooked into the waistbands of her scrub pants and underwear, pulling them down over her hips.

"I missed you too," she whispered against his mouth. It hit her how much she really had missed him at that point. She felt safe again. She felt like she was home. She felt free to be herself. It may have barely been a week, but they'd already been through more than most people experienced in entire lifetimes.

With the last of their clothing discarded, she hooked a hand behind his necked and pulled him with her onto the bed.

Nate fell back onto the bed and moaned as she climbed over him. He scooted up onto the bed further and watched as her eyes moved from his eyes, down his body to his hard cock sticking up nice and hard for her pleasure. He could see she was debating what action to take next.

He said, "Hey... Sav..."

He watched her eyes shift back up to him. She was positively heart stopping for him. He would keep her in his life so long as she wanted to be there. She was going to be a force of good in his world. He said, "I have never been so impatient to get out of holding in all my life. It wasn't ... this either." He stroked his cock once and then let it go saying, "I needed to be with you, all of you. I don't know if that makes sense but, I need you for more than ... this."

He realized he was starting to sound like one of those bullshit poets or country singer or something so he fell silent.

Here was that vulnerable side that she was sure very few ever really saw, if anyone else. The side that made her heart ache. Nate had a heart that he didn’t really like to show. She believed he was a good man, who just had to do bad things. He did try to do as much good as he could, but he lived a life she could never fully understand. Yet it was a life she was now thrusted into whether she liked it or not. With him, she didn’t care.

Savannah moved from where she was kneeling between his knees to lay beside him. She brushed her fingers through his hair, and she searched his eyes. There was always hunger and desire in them, she saw it every time he looked at her. But there was something else underneath it all that warmed those dark eyes. He loved her. That word held less and less poison each time it drifted through her heart, each time he had said it.

“I need you too.” She paused, the words sat on the tip of her tongue, and for once they didn’t absolutely terrify her. “I love you,” she finally whispered, almost as if she was telling a secret.

He blinked at the words. “What did you say?”

Not quite the reaction she was expecting. Still, a small smile started to grow on her lips. “I love you,” she said again, more sure of the words this time.

His lips crashed into hers. The way he kissed her was like she was his favorite dessert. The way he touched her was as if he’d never have another chance. Savannah wanted more, all of it. Of course she did, no matter how ill-advised it all was. Nathan was fire in her blood, and he might burn her alive, but she would strike the match happily as long as he never let her go.

Nathan heard those words and something broke inside him! Something he had never thought a man of his caliber, meaning lower than the belly of a snake, would ever get to hear. He was familiar with fear and pain and power, but not this.

His lips were on her before he realized it and had spun her onto the bed with him on top of her. He invaded her mouth hard and deep. Their bodies were pressed tight to each other, skin to skin, and for Nathan that wasn't enough. He needed more!

There was something else he was going to do though first. Something that felt right to him. He just kissed her. He didn't grope her. He didn't invade her body. One hard callused hand was holding her ass firmly pulling her close to him as he pivoted to the side slightly. He guided her head back to him so she was on her side as well. Their bodies grew hot and sweaty. The need was powerful. But for the moment... that could all wait.

He just kissed her. Not a Master to a slave, not a customer to a hooker. He kissed her with passion and fire and he ONLY allowed that passion out through his kiss! He would kiss her all night if he had too and call it fair trade for those words she had whispered to him.

"Say it again..." He whispered as his lips moved along her chin and up along her jawline. As she repeated them, his fire grew. He kissed the edges of her ears and back down along her jaw and said, "Say it again..."

He made her repeat those words over and over to him. He kissed her with every growing passion and desire. NOT lust! Love! He felt his lips going chapped as long as they kissed. He finally after a long while leaving both her and himself completely breathless, he looked into her eyes, softly caressed the side of her face. He had not slid fingers or his cock into her. This was not the time for that.

A single tear slid down the side of his face as he studied her saying, "No one has every said that to me... of their own free will."

Nate looked back into her eyes and said, "I would walk barefoot across a million razor blades through the pits of hell for you. I love you too Savannah."

Nathan held her so tightly, as if he couldn’t get close enough, but she felt the same way. So many things could have gone in so many different directions over the past week. That didn’t change how much she needed him. Right then. That night. Forever.

Savannah kissed his throat, his jaw, the corner of his mouth, the tear that slid down his face. Her heart seemed to flip in her chest when he repeated the words back to her. “I would never ask that of you.” She pressed her lips to his again, and he was there bearing her down to the mattress again, hands sliding over her skin as if to ensure she was real, she was there. She pressed against his shoulder, and he let her roll him to his back and climb up to straddle his waist.

God, the way this man looked at her, devouring her with fire behind brown eyes. He cupped her breasts, leaning up to lavish kisses over them. She rolled her hips, rubbing herself along his length. She needed this moment of connection as much as he did. “I love you,” she breathed.

His smile was wide and happy and free of any shadows. “Say it again.”

“I love you.”

“Again.”

This time she laughed. “Again? Really?” She'd said it at least a dozen times at that point. Still, she grinned down at him, feeling nearly like she was floating.

Nate lost track of all time. For that moment, that hour, in the privacy of their bedroom in their brand new bed, it was just the two of them. It was for lack of a better word... perfect. He smiled and held her close to him, body on body, flesh on flesh. Both seemed to be quite fiery hot for each other. His cock was hard, her nipples taunt, the sweet smell of her sex teasing his nose. He let his fingers trace her body, nice and slow smiling as goosebumps bloomed in the wake of the touch. They circled each breast slowly, then down her flat tummy to her belly button and around. They traced around the curves of her bottom and down her legs. How did he find himself so fortunate as to have her in his life?

He glanced up at her and gently turned her onto her stomach and he said, "Just relax baby... I am exploring you. I am memorizing every inch of you. This is way more important right now." He watched as she settled in place a bit. He slid her long scarlet hair to one side, exposing her neck to him. His lips pressed lightly onto the back of her neck and along either side of her spine. He let his fingers caress down either side of her spine down her back as his lips touched every spot on her backbone. It wasn't hard or rough. There would be time enough for that later. This was making love, not fucking. This was bonding.

As he went to the small of her back, he let his tongue curl up her back slightly before moving down to each bottom. HE playfully bit each cheek before moving down past her ass to each of the calves. He explored every freckle, every blemish, every tiny scar for which she had so few. He looked back up at her from near her calves and saw her eyes locked on him. He said, "I hope you don't mind. I don't do... feet."

Seeing a smile on her lips warmed his body again as his lips moved up her legs once more. he gently reached for each of her hands, hooking her wrists in his own and lifting her gently to her knees, her breasts dangling teasingly. He positioned himself behind her and saw her look at him once more and then slowly, every so slowly, he slid his cock into her so nice and slow.

Every bit of Nate's formidable attention was focused on her. This man was hers. She shivered as his lips traced down her spine, following the light touch of his fingers, and the swirl of his tongue at the small of her back. Her glutes flexed at each gentle, playful bite of her cheeks. She glanced over her shoulder surprised as he continued further still, trailing down her legs all the way to her ankles.

He was apologizing that he didn't do feet? She almost laughed. Of all things he didn't like, it was feet. Lucky for him, she wasn't a fan of her feet being touched aside from pedicures and the occasional foot massage.

Savannah’s breath hitched as he sank into her inch by inch, slow as maple syrup. She arched her back, angling her hips to take Nathan even deeper, and a whimper tore from her throat. The sound seemed to prompt him to begin moving, sliding in and out in long, smooth strokes. Before she could fully sink into the rhythm of his thrusts, he picked up his pace, and bent to slide a hand down her stomach to stroke her clit. Kisses were pressed to her shoulder, her neck, the sensitive spot behind her ear. All while he kept up those devastating little circles over her clit, and the equally devastating stroke deep inside her. It didn’t take long before she was coming with a cry that sounded a whole lot like his name, her body shuddering underneath him as she rocked against his hand, pussy fluttering around his cock.

Nathan knew his way around a woman. There was no doubt to his mind that he knew how it worked. He smiled down at his wife as she clung to him during her last orgasm! That is how you do it right. You get her built up so hot and intense that it only takes a few slow burning strokes to make her cum. Just wait till she discovered what he would do next.

As her eyes opened and shifted back up to him, he smiled and said, "That was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen before in my life." He leaned in and kissed her hard and deep.

Then he thrust into her! The surprising gasp pleased him as he began to slam into her over and over and over, growing faster. He kept kissing her as hard as he could as the tempo shifted from soft and sweet to hard and deep

Savannah would have flushed at his words if her skin wasn’t already burning hot after her orgasm. She was barely coming down from it when Nathan changed gears, slipping away from being slow and gentle to fast and rough. She keened against his lips, arms fighting the grip he had on her wrists as he thrusted into her, harder and faster, his expression was a mask of need and love. He drove into her again and again, chasing his own release now.

The first orgasm that rocked his body caused him to yell out in surprise! Nate was starting to think that his testicles suffering from the same symptom that swollen breasts on a new mother would have? If he didn't regularly drain his balls, they would swell and swell and start to hurt? He knew it was silly, but his sex drive was through the roof at the moment!

When the orgasm finally subsided, he kept his cock inside her, simply because moving it would almost hurt as sensitive as he was. He looked down and kissed her again going, "I fucking needed that." He kissed her jawline once more as his sensitivity wore down a bit. He began to slide back and forth inside, not nearly as fast as a moment ago, but he felt every inch of his cock squeezed and massaged by her body!

He looked at her and said, "I want you to cum for me again and look me in the eyes.. I want to memorize your orgasm again on your face. Will you do that for me?" He began to pick up the pace a bit till he found the key to hers.
