A local place sells a smokey swiss that is quite nice.

And I have two pounds of the Baby Swiss. Creamy with just a faint nutty flavor to it.

And I also picked up some asiago and a couple batards from a french bakery. Nice crunchy crust. I thought the asiago would melt nicely on them, openfaced under the broiler. Add just a touch of garlic...mmmmmm.

Pardon the heck out of me but let me check on something here......you picked up a couple of batards at the french bakery? Is that anything like bastards and do they just have a display of them for you to choose from and what are you planning to do with your bastards ....... I think if you put them under the broiler the stench is going to be horrid and people are going to be screaming Jeffrey Dalmer all over again.

Hey Y'all !!!

We do have way too many places to obtain those delecious thinks for eating. Weather they be real or not, they are all good. I love pastry, cookies and things like that. Not real fond of donuts. Never had a Krispy Kreme.

Hope everyone is getting their plans all set up for the weekend. Have a great one.

We will get an 'Alberta Clipper'. A little snow, and then lots of cold air. Wish I had someone to cuddle with up here. Oh well.
