The Bouts-Rimés Challenge

I agree, it is important. But the poets I love the most, such as Keats, broke the rules all the time.

Absolutely, I too love Keats. But you have to know what the rules are to know how to break them and if there are no rules then nothing can be broken.

As a reminder for anyone looking for the next Bouts-Rimés challenge the words are:

Thinking of Joan in the Sestine Chapel

Joan was loud, so I needed to muffle
her long moans, or there'd be a kerfuffle.
Yet she had my parts, all of them, tingling
from our coupling and thrashing and mingling
(which I'm sure sounds extremely salacious,
but was really enthused—er, flirtatious).

But who cares if we're more than flirtatious?
Any ninny can stifle and muffle
their libido when it's too salacious
without causing a moral kerfuffle.
And it's marvelous, mushily mingling
with a trollop whose torso sets tingling

your so masculine, personal Ting-ling!
I will tell you--that beats just flirtatious
for distinctive and joyous co-mingling,
such that even if I'm forced to muffle
the low groans of our scuffle's kerfuffle
I would rather be mutely salacious

(Really, can one be mutely salacious?)
than surrender our thing-flinging tingling
just to tone down some social kerfuffle.
Oh, and anyway, this thing, "flirtatious,"
seems by nature not easy to muffle,
for we humans bring screaming to mingling.

But remember how natural is mingling
in this way. It is hardly salacious,
not behavior to hide or to muffle.
And while, yes, it's the drive of the tingling
in our nether parts, makes us flirtatious,
it's more comedy than it's kerfuffle.

Often, mating's a stuffy kerfuffle,
both a social and sexual mingling
that oft escalates from the flirtatious
before trending toward that salacious
and delicious, dyadic, deep tingling
that would be so distasteful to muffle.



Moral(s):
Please don't muffle or stifle this tingling.
Though salacious, sex is no kerfuffle.
To get mingling, be charming, flirtatious.
