Hugh Jackman is a survivor of skin cancer.

So that's why no more Wolverine for Hugh!!!

Why does pookie hate trannies?

Trannies are funny!

Trannies are cool.

I'm not much of a catfish fan though. They're bottom feeders. I wouldn't call it hate though. Hate is a cancer.

The Differences Between Factitious Disorders And Malingering

"Malingering is not a form of mental illness. However, people who adopt malingering behaviors often have a diagnosable mental illness called antisocial personality disorder. Individuals with this disorder have a long-standing pattern of involvement in activities that purposefully exploit or manipulate others, or blatantly disregard the legal rights of others. Malingerers also frequently exhibit signs of another personality-related condition, called histrionic personality disorder. Individuals with this condition habitually and reflexively use excessive displays of drama and emotion to gain attention from others."

And on a none flame war board this has what to do with cancer survival?

Think why the thread was started in the first place. Think.

Not clear cut flaming OP. Iggiable maybe. But not a rules violation of the lounge. If the OP was fishing then they actually caught something(one).

Caught himself a Hard Rom, apparently.

I'm just swimming along and got tangled in the net intended to catch you. I got no idea on original beef. But you are playing the OP's game it seems. Like a fish going after a flashy lure they can't resist.

I have no idea what you're on about. Fish and beef?!

I am simply providing some information, and perhaps even some restorative support to those who often fall through the less popular cancer cracks.

Although there is no pink ribbons, or high profile campaigns, the families and friends of fake-cancer sufferers receive little sympathy or support. Some would even argue they are the true victims of fake cancer.

Helping others understand the motivations, and underlying disorders of those self-diagnosed with faux-cancer, may help those trying to help them. :rose:

Andy Cohen was diagnosed last year with melanoma after being urged to get a mark on his lip checked out.

Ben Stiller battled prostate cancer in 2014, but credited the diagnostic test he took for saving his life.

Well said. Hopefully a cure for this insidious cancer is discovered before it ruins more lives.

Pray for Bertie-Ann. :rose:

Here's an article I stumbled upon. Some peOPle may relate.

Cancer Facts for Gay and Bisexual Men

The most common types of cancer among men in the US are prostate, lung, colon, and skin cancers. Anal and testicular cancers are also found in men. There are things you can do to help reduce your risk for these cancers or find them early – when they are small, have not spread, and are easier to treat.

Recognizing barriers
Studies have found that gay and bisexual men get less routine health care than other men.1 They face a number of barriers to getting the health care and cancer screening tests they need, including:
Low rates of health insurance: Many health insurance policies do not cover unmarried partners. This makes it harder for many gay and bisexual men to get quality health care.1
Fear of discrimination: Many men don’t tell their health care providers about their sexual orientation, because they worry about discrimination affecting the quality of health care they receive. This can make it harder to have a comfortable relationship with a provider.1

Chances are pretty good that right this minute, you have some sort of dormant cancer. Autopsies of people who die of other causes find most of them had tiny, latent cancers — in their breasts or thyroids or prostates.

"Probably, as we sit here, we have cancerous nodules that our body is able to suppress through our natural, native immunity," says Dr. Giannoula Lakka Klement of Tufts Medical Center.

I have to see the nephrologist on Wednesday. I hope I don't have to do that 24 hour pee in a bucket test again. The worst part is the container is bright orange and carrying it back and forth at work to the bathroom. ugh.

Almost 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I had a bowel resection and now get regular colonoscopies. They find an occasional polyp, but nothing more. Pain in the stomach and nausea are the symptoms for this one, and it is diagnosed by either a colonoscopy or an X-ray after ingesting a radioactive cocktail, which will pinpoint the location of a blockage.

There is a lot of that in the news these days. I am sure there are men here attempting to use such tactics as I have seen them lash out at other posters who pay no attention to them

Here is the article about a man named Ken.

Man faked 'stage 4 cancer' to lure us in, women claim

SEVERAL women have accused a Florida man of faking stage 4 cancer and manipulating them to get food, money, and shelter, just weeks after his wedding to a long-lost love went viral.
Ken Boyer, 60, first gained notoriety when WKMG-TV covered his wedding to a Missouri woman named Michelle Kimbrel in May. Boyer claimed he “reconnected” with Kimbrel on Facebook a few weeks before they tied the knot.

Its an interesting read that could maybe help save some women from being deceived by such predators.

Goodness gracious! :(

It takes a special brand of desperate asshole to fake cancer, just to garner some attention and favor.

Who does that?!
