Have you had Garrett’s from Chicago? The Chicago mix? I luckily have been able to get at O’Hare and one of my favorite places
in the Chicago suburbs to shop carries it too. They do sell it in stores or occasionally Sam’s Club not the same but it will suffice. I think for me it’s a special occasion treat (airport or day trip) so it makes it more special. So I prefer to get it in Chicago.

There’s a local joint ran by a family I like to support for small business and I like to try the goofy seasonal flavors.

Then of course- movie popcorn with butter. It’s a classic and the smell as I walk in gets me every single time.

I will occasionally have microwave popcorn-
I am not a snob. But I have been accused of burning it - I like it crispy and crunchy. Burnt popcorn has a particular smell…

Yeah, I really like popcorn!

We call them palomitas and my dad would pop them in a cast iron pot every Friday for movie night. He would buy a huge bag or kernels at the Mexican store and come home with a movie from Blockbuster and my sisters and I would toss pillows from our rooms onto the floor and spend the evening watching movies!

For me it is the movies. The inly place i really enjoy it. I try so hard to replicate that, i even toss in m&m’s, or pretzels, sour patch kids to make it more enjoyable but nothing compares to the year i worked at a movie theater and ate popcorn all the time.

I've probably had subpar Chicago mix because I've never had it in Chicago - but I do like it from the little popcorn stands here.

I've been really into popping my own in this nifty popcorn popper from Amazon... then I melt coconut oil to toss it in and add super fine popcorn salt

My girls call it "mom's healthy popcorn"
