Casseroles can be a main dish, side dish, or even breakfast

No no no no, see, you're confused. It's okay, we can't all be superior Wisconites. So let me explain. Casseroles are and can be main meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner) as well as side dishes. Then there's just everything else. Hotdish is just some made up, looney, Minnesota thing which for some unknown reason became a thing.

I avoid that whole ketchup minefield, by sticking to mustard, specifically spicy brown mustard as my go to condiment choice
