The Cozy Corner

Ok, I have to share this!

Let me start by telling you all that my husband is a wonderful, loving, Pepe Lepew who's also a master on the grill and the smoker. He can turn a rack of ribs into the most mouth watering, meat slewcing off the bone, foodgasm.

But,...

The man will burn water in the kitchen! 🤣

Still, last night, he decided to surprise me with his own chicken Parmesan. This wonderful man took a bag of Costco chicken nuggets and warmed them up in the oven. Placed them in a tray, layered marinara sauce, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning on top and placed it back in the oven until the cheese was just turning crispy.

No lie, it was delicious. But I couldn't stop laughing because he has the cutest shit eating from on his face while he watched me try it. I swear I had 911 and the car keys in hand. 🤣

I survived! My kitchen? Not so much now the freaking hell did he make such a huge mess?! 🤣

He's super clean in his woodshop and tossed around pots and pans like they were hand grenades!

Ok ok. Story completell! Happy Sunday!! ❤️
Aww he tried. Insert KY "bless his heart"

We have couple friends whose husbands do no cooking whatsoever, not even BBQ, I find that really weird, I enjoy cooking and having BBQ’s
I also love to cook and do probably 60% of the cooking. If anything requires any skill in the kitchen, my wife turns it over to me, lol. I really love to grill and smoke. I’m actually thawing pork steaks to grill for dinner tonight.

I do 50%-60% of the cooking 100% of the grilling but maybe 10% of the baking. I wish I enjoyed baking but kneading and rolling feels tedious. 🤷 I make amazing pastas from scratch but there's a reason they call it a labor of love...and most days I just don't love people enough to pull out the pasta press🤣 If I ever make you creamy citrus butter nut squash ravioli, I really really love you

Baking is totally outside my comfort zone. It requires entirely way too much precision! 😂

I don’t bake because I don’t like following recipes. It’s too much of an exact science. I prefer cooking because I cook with my heart and a feeling.

Anyone out in the streets yesterday? Besides me. It was a beautiful day here in Fla.

I know @Dayhoosier was out running! Come to think of it, I don't think he's dropped by the Cozy Corner yet... @Dayhoosier where are you?

It is now Prosecco o'clock in the UK!!!
Cheers 🍾🥂

And I just had my first cup of coffee 🤣

I thought I'd clarify 'in the UK' just so you guys don't think it's my breakfast drink!

Actually, tbf, it has been known but not today 😜🤣

Nothing wrong with a boozy breakfast with a mimosa!

I was the runner up Village Person as the Idiot. Bam bam bam bam it's fun to go to the......fuck I can't spell. I guess that's why I didn't make the cut.

This makes no sense to me so I'm just going to presume you are already a few whiskeys down!

Oh sweet Jesus Louise....they have the Village People over there and the term village idiot

The Village just called, they want their idiot back...
