That's pure insanity! There's literally no reason for this to occur lol. I just had my annual evaluation at work last week and I flat out told them I suck at reading and staying up on emails, that we get far too many and that I refuse to read them off shift.

Don't really bother reading them, ~ 3000 unread...

If it's urgent they'll get hold of me on Teams or they pester my HoD saying I haven't replied and she pesters me on Teams

Lucky as don't really deal with external clients but same rule applies to them... pester my HoD to pester me.

If it's a meeting invite it still shows on my calendar regardless of whether I've accepted it or not

My last annual evaluation, I just smiled and stayed quiet. I'm not one to rock the boat at work. Especially when my boss was telling me my work over the last year was satisfactory. Lol

Yeah, no. Fuck off if they think for even a second that I would actually read and work through 3000 emails. Let alone 602 or 237 lol. You're more likely to hear me say I'm giving up coffee before I would do that, which is saying a lot
