The Cozy Corner

Where are all the water drinkers here? I see lots of coffee drinkers - anyone working on getting all the water for the day?

And as a Gen X kid - I wonder how I managed to not pass out from dehydration or catch some weird germ from a garden hose or public school drinking fountain. Random Tuesday morning thoughts.
One or 2 coffees in the morning and then I'm on my water. I try to get my 80 Oz of water before my evening cup of coffee. Then water until tea for bed.

Every so often, a ginger ale gets slipped in. 🤭

I’m the same, 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning before switching to water for the day. Usually get 120 oz + by time I got to bed.

Don't worry, I also drink 32oz of water with creatine, collagen and a mushroom energy blend every morning, followed by another 32oz with electrolytes by noon. And then try to get another 64oz in before bed. But I'm still guzzling coffee from the moment I wake up until about 2pm everyday soooo....I don't know where that puts me as far as hydrating lol. I'm going to say fair to moderate? 🤷‍♂️☕🚰😆

Also...there's nothing better than drinking from the garden hose. Especially after mowing the lawn on a dreadfully hot, muggy day. I still do it! And still worm free 😆

While I do joke about "coffee to wine" on the daily
I do switch to water during the day and try to get around 90oz before opening a Claw or pouring a glass of wine

I do find it interesting how we never carried water... anywhere... and now kids can't go next door without their 40oz Stanley 🤷‍♀️

80, 90, 120 oz you people are the MVP here! That’s impressive! I’m working on 64 oz daily and that’s an accomplishment for me.

It's definitely something I found I had to just make a routine, yet ease into. I also was never drinking enough water so I started making it part of my morning routine and added on from there a little at a time. The supplements/electrolytes in my first 64oz of the day helps for sure.

Absolutely!
But if you see the jolly roger flag flying on our porch just comeback later... We will be role playing as pirates and I might be trying to board her ship 🤣🤣😎
Whew - flags are an excellent idea
I always thought it was a bra on the door handle, but with a flag I don't even have to leave my front porch

I tried the bra on the door handle once. Big mistake.

First off, I don't wear a bra, no matter what my moobs look like.

Second, it wasn't my wife's bra either, and wouldn't you know it? She didn't get the message and came barging right in with all the yelling and screaming.
Fucked up deal.

Can you build another small cabin somewhere on the property for when a friendly princess needs to get out of the city??
Absolutely!

How many cabins are you okay with building?
You know, just in case a sister from the UK needs to get out the country 🤣

I promise all debauchery will be left in the Alley!

I hear ya, I work from home 4 days a week and then I have to go into work on Fridays. I hate Fridays.

I have the exact same schedule! Well, I don’t have to go in on Fridays, I can choose the day, but it takes me half the time to get there on Friday mornings as any other morning. If I have to go into the office, I want to spend as little time commuting as possible!

I try to drink water first before my first coffee. Then after 2-3 coffees, it’s back to water. Though I don’t drink nearly as much as others here, I don’t think! I don’t track the amount, but if I were drinking 60+ oz, I’d just have to work from the bathroom! 😂

As a GenX kid too, I’m always amazed when I see my nieces going off to school with their huge water bottles. I don’t think my teachers would even have allowed that - they’d be classified a distraction or something!
