The Dark (open)

Xavier looked at her for a few more moments, his eyes keeping focused on her for a few more moments. He then spoke up softly, "Alright, Raven." He looked to the ground for a few more moments and then looked over to her, "We could play chess if you want." He looked at her face for a few more moments, "Or we could go to sleep in whatever sleeping conditions you think are appropriate and tomorrow we could go on our second date, meaning that we would only have one more until you give in and kiss me." He shrugged and then leaned back on the couch.

His body was still a bit excited by the thought of Raven's naked form. He stared silently at the floor for a few moments. He wondered if Raven would be able to control her hormones if she was in his position. He was only able to do it because he wanted to hear her pleasured moans. He wanted to hear her cry out his name, and then he wanted her to give him her blood willingly under the promise that he would give it to her again, and again, as often as she wanted. He smiled softly, trying not to think about it too much. He was just going to have to write it down for another one of his novels.

"The sooner we go to sleep Xavier, the sooner tomorrow will come, the sooner that third date will perhaps arrive." She smiled to him as her eyes told him she too wanted it to arrive. Raven had never allowed herself so close to anyone, somehow he worked his way into her soul.
"I'll take the couch" She said motioning him to get off her bed. As he hesitatingly stood up they were inches from each other and her body would release its scent again through her thighs. She was excited by him, she wanted him, she just wasn't completely aware of how much she would find herself needing him.

He stepped forward enveloping her into his arms again and kissing the top of her head. Before strolling off into the bedroom as she stood dazed, her body aching so badly for his touch she could have died. Eventually she settled herself on the couch resisting the urge to release her frustrations and falling into a light tossing sleep. She slept for a few hours awaking in another nightmare of hers. She made her way to the balcony with some tap water. Closing the doors behind her. The sun slowly started to rise and she slipped back inside. The last thing she would want to do is have him walking through the house and open the doors on him.

She needed to go to the store and get some breakfast, She left a note for him before sliding on some sweats.

"Xavier, please don't be cross but i needed some food. I will take all precautions, and be back soon. Raven..

Xavier had awoken a while after Raven had left. He had then pushed himself out of his dark bed. Stretching for a few moments before leaving his bedroom. He looked around the living room for a few moments, his eyes immediately taking in the missing woman. He sighed softly, assuming that she had decided to escape with her virgin flower while she could, or had gone to start arranging the moving of her stuff. In either case, he knew that she couldn't have gotten much sleep. He'd have to make her sleep he supposed, since their dates could only occur at night.

He looked over to where she had left her note and walked over, his emerald eyes scanning over it quickly. He ran his fingers over her writing, stopping his fingers over the words 'be back soon' He supposed there was no point in worrying about it if she was going to be back soon. He'd just find something to do while he waited for her.

He sighed and then walked back into his bedroom for a moment, before emerging with a laptop case. He walked over to the couch where the woman had slept, his nose picking up her scent, and the scent of her excitement. His body shivered for a moment before he set his laptop on top of the coffee table so that he could begin to write another chapter of his latest story, in which a woman finds love in the arms of a vampire. The story had been rather simple really. The woman had met the Vampire when he had saved her from a group of rapists. The rest of the story had been her falling for him, and the chapter that he was working on right now involved a rather hot sex scene.

It took Raven a few moments to gather her bearings as she stepped out into the morning air. The doorman called a car for her. "Mi lord was quite vocal in stating he wanted no convenience spared to ensure your comfort and safety milady." the doorman instructed. She smiled looking at the limo that pulled out front. "Bloody hell" she exclaimed. "don't you have anything smaller, just a regular car, i don't want to attract attention." "As you wish ma'am" The limo left and a black Sedan BMW with tinted black windows pulled up. She shook her head. This is ridiculous. I will walk, if you wish to have someone follow me that will be fine.

The doorman wasn't quite sure what to do but got on the phone. The driver of the sedan got out, a tall big man. He bowed slightly and stayed back as she began to walk.

She stopped in Starbucks grabbing some coffee and a muffin, and then to a shop to pick up some flowers and some plants. She looked up at the clock, "Oh Christ" she exclaimed. It had been about four hours since she'd left. She started her walk back quickly and the guard stayed close behind her.

Raven practically ran inside the building as the door man held it open. The elevator was held open for her and her floor was pressed. She arrived in the penthouse out of breath and her armful of plants and such.

"I didn't mean to be gone so long, i just got busy shopping." She exclaimed to the handsome engrossed writing vampire which sat typing away as if she'd never left.

Xavier stopped typing and looked over to the woman who had come in just now. He blinked for a moment, noticing that she was now overloaded with flowers and other packages. He slowly pushed himself up, leaving his work where it was, and then slowly walked over to where Raven was. He slowly reached out and took one of the plants, "Welcome back." He smiled softly at her before looking at the plant, "Did you need any help bringing these in? I'm not usually much of a plant person, since I can't afford to have very much sunlight in this place..." He looked up at her again, wondering where she had planned on putting the plants.

Raven smiled handing him a plant, "Thank you, these plants bloom at night she said with a smile. I thought we would put them on the balcony so at night we can enjoy their fragrance.

"What did you say to the doorman last night?" she asked curiously "the reason i ask was cause he tried to put me in a limo to go to Starbucks, and when i refused, he wanted to put me in a BMW that looked like a presidential car. The poor driver of the car was then forced to follow me around on foot all day. I'm not saying i minded, i just don't want you going to extra expense or anything."

Xavier brought the plants over, placing them down by the balcony door, "I don't remember saying anything that was all that important to him, just that you would need an escort so that you would be safe." His eyes looked over the plants and he remembered the disappointment he had felt when he had realized that gardening was something that he was never going to be capable of. He caressed the leaves lightly before taking a step away from the plants, "You should be safe when you are walking around."

He turned his attention to look back to her, "I am glad to know that you are safe, and that you did decide to come back." He smiled softly and then sighed, "I suppose I should go take a shower." He turned and headed back into his room and towards the shower, only bothering to close the bathroom door behind him. He might as well let Raven explore, after all, this was her home now.

"I am glad to be back" she said lightly as he closed the bathroom door. She took advantage of him being out of danger to place the plants on the back balcony. She had bought two matching stands to place the plants on. Hearing the water turn off she quickly came back in shutting the door. She had bought a erase board for the fridge. A kind of message board. She had also picked up a dress for their date this evening. As she put away the coffee maker and coffee she had also purchased. She let out a yawn.

Xavier had spent a short period of time in the shower, getting clean. He closed his eyes, leaning his head against the wall of the shower, water pouring down on his body, running over him, causing his hair to slide down and drop. His mind was thinking about the joys that he could be having with the woman below him, crying out with joy as she hit the heights of orgasm.

He slowly pushed off of the wall and headed back into his room, slowly getting dressed, pulling on a pair of boxers before wrapping himself in his robe. He could smell her on it and shivered slightly at the idea of her wearing his clothes. He slowly headed out into the living room, his robe tied loosely around his waist. He looked over to her, "I'm feeling better now."

She stood in the kitchen trying to mask the second yawn that came from her lips. "well you smell good" she said lightly The scent of his shampoo was invigorating. She tried with frustration to open the can of coffee. "Do you have a hammer?" its the only thing she could think he might possess that she could use to poke a hole in the can enough to give her some grounds.

"if i don't get caffeine in me i will never make it tonight." "So what are you writing" she asked waiting for his response to her first question

He smiled softly as he looked at what she was doing and then walked in, knowing that she would get a nice chance to take in his smell. He reached over, taking a hold of the top of the can of coffee, before pushing his thumb through the top. He looked over at her still smiling softly. He looked at her for a few more moments, smiling softly and then turned his attention back to the living room. He slowly headed back into the living room, thinking about the next question that she had asked.

He kept his hands at his sides. He turned his attention back to her after a moment and spoke, "I am writing a novel. It is about a woman who falls madly in love with a vampire who saves her from a group of rapists." He turned his attention back to the laptop, "If you want to read the latest chapter, feel free."

Her mouth practically dropped as he pushed through the top of the metal can. She almost lost her balance at his intoxicating aroma. Quickly getting to work on putting the coffee with the least amount mess as possible into the machine.

"you never told me you wrote" she exclaimed. "but i'm sorry I'm old fashioned, i like to read things from the beginning to the end. When you're finished I'll be overjoyed to read it. A mortal and a Vampire.. Hmm who would have thought it" she laughed a little her eyes danced as she looked at him with more admiration.

With her coffee in hand she set it on the end table, and pulled out her lap top. She sat down next to him and began working on her own.

Hours passed with little conversation. As they both worked. It was hard for her to concentrate with him next to her. But she wasn't going to give into it. Soon the sun was going down. Placing her laptop down she smiled, "I'm going to take a shower, i have a date tonight" She laughed a little as she grabbed the packaged outfit she bought and headed into his room shutting the door.

He looked over to her as she headed off to take a shower. He closed his eyes, thinking about getting up to head after her. He kept his hands at his sides, turning off his laptop. He closed his laptop after a few more moments. His mind was once again on the woman. He wondered for a moment if she was secretly hoping for him to join her in the shower. He kept his eyes focused on her. He slowly blinked and then turned his eyes back to his laptop before closing it, leaving it on the table.

He pushed himself up and headed to his room. He needed to get dressed. He would be able to defend himself by saying that he was getting dressed for a date that he had. He slipped into his room, closing the door behind him before he headed over to his dresser to get into clothing.

She heard the door. "damnit" she cursed to herself under her breath. She'd left the package on his bed. She continued with her shower shaving her legs and knicking herself. Great she thought, the scent of blood along with the fact i have nothing but a towel.

Finishing she toweled off and began to blow dry her hair. She placed a towel around her. "Xavier, could you please hand me that package on your bed" she asked almost pleadingly.

Xavier had slipped through the room quickly slipping in behind her. His eyes had flashed crimson as his arms had quickly wrapped around her waist. He took a slow, and deep breath, taking in her scent. He slowly took in the scent of her. He whispered softly against her ear, "I could..." He continued his slow breathing, holding her body tight to his, holding her body against his. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting his hot breath run over her neck. He looked at her for a few more moments and then spoke again, "I'm sure, if you'd rather, I can give you a different package if you ask for it." He continued to breath against her neck and ear slowly.

He turned his eyes back to the package of clothing that was on the bed. He smiled softly and leaned back to her again, his fingers slowly running over her ribs, waist, hips, "If you really want me to let go of you and bring you the clothes that you left on the bed, I can do that for you instead." He took in her scent again before letting his warm breath run over her shoulder and neck again, "I wouldn't deny you if you wanted something else entirely though." He smirked softly, "We could spend our date right here if you want."

She gasped as he came behind her. When his arms wrapped around her pinning her to him she began to tremble. "Xavier," she gasped her body trembling more.
"let me go". She wasn't quite ready for such a bold move on his part, if they were lovers already it would have intoxicated her. But being as they were friends, working only on their second date after a succession of her past coming back to slap her upside the head. She wasn't prepared.

Xavier let his arms slip from her waist back to his sides, and then had slipped away from her back into his bedroom. He stayed there for a few moments, his eyes closed and then he pushed himself up and out to the living room, "I am sorry for letting my hormones get the best of me." His body visibly shivered, "I will try to keep myself in check in the future." He turned his eyes, looking at her for one last moment and then closed the door to his bedroom, leaving her in the room alone.

He headed out into the living room, his body shivering with anticipation for an event that very clearly would not be taking place. He knew that all of this holding him at arms length was her way of defending him, but at the same time, he knew that it meant that when she finally gave in and told him that she was ready to make love, it would be all the more glorious. His body shivered and ached for the touch of a woman. He narrowed his eyes slightly. He was going to have to relieve himself. He hadn't even gotten dressed yet.

She sat down on the floor after he left the room getting a hold of herself. She didn't blame him. The scents of a woman, at the level he could take would be invigorating. The closeness they remained to each other, her body reacting to any touch. Her body was ready, but her mind wasn't at that point yet. She wanted to be sure. She had found the more time she spent with him, she adored him. He was all she had thought a man should be. Without second thought he took her into her world offering her protection, demanding nothing in return.

She slowly rose from the floor getting the package noticing his clothes still laid out. She walked to the door touching it lightly. "Xavier, would you like me to hand you your clothes."she asked softly

Xavier sat, his back against the wall. His eyes looked over the scene of his living room, taking in things from little corners of the room. He slowly blinked when she offered to hand him his clothing, "I'm sorry. You must find me repulsive." He blinked slowly, his green eyes seeming to be almost a dead gray now, "I am nothing better than the man who I beat up at your apartment." His eyes stared blankly into nothing, "I do not deserve a woman such as yourself. I am sorry for all of the trouble that I have caused you." He slowly closed his eyes.

"I do not" she said stepping from the room, "you know that i do not. If you were any of those things i would not be here. I know you can smell what you do to me. I know that feel the way i react with your arms around me. I have fought myself from the first moment you placed your arms around me on my balcony. I want you Xavier, in a way that I've never wanted any man. You know that i do, you can smell it. I don't blame you for what you did, if i wasn't a complete basket case i would have had you pinning me against the wall in a moment. But i also know that you want me to give you all of me. I want to be able to give you all of me. When i can, i will. I don't want to be anywhere but where you are. If my being here with you is to hard, then I'll find another place until i can give you all of me."

He turned his eyes to her giving her a tired look that made him look like he had just been beaten up. He then spoke softly, "I would very much like to have pinned you up against the bathroom wall." He blinked slowly, "I would have liked to feel your warmth against me as your towel slipped off of your body." He turned his attention back to the space before him, "My mind continues to play over the images that my imagination has produced of me holding you down against my bed, my naked body crashing into yours." He slowly closed his eyes, "I can almost feel it, smell it, taste it..." He took a deep breath.

It was a moment before he turned his attention to her again, "But in every single one of my fantasies you moan my name, cry for more, and confess your love as I drive you over the edge to orgasmic bliss." He slowly blinked, "Without you here I would surely go insane, but if you feel that you need to leave...I don't think there is anything that I can do to stop you."

"I don't want to leave Xavier" she said softly walking over to him and kneeling in front of him. "you want me to cry your name and confess my love for you, then time, and i don't know how much, but time is all i need to do so. For theres no one else that i desire, and no one else whose arms i close my eyes and imagine around me. It is not you i do not trust. it is myself. You walked through this fortress of walls i enclosed myself in just yesterday, you rescued me from my past and took me under your protection without any question. I have no doubts about your character, and only anticipation with each day i get to know you. Now get off your ass, get dressed and take me out on a date or you'll never get that damn kiss you won't shut up about. She smiled to him as she said it to him tossing his clothes on his form. She walked out to the balcony and took in the scent of the flowers and the night air grasping the railing as she grounded herself.

Xavier looked at his clothes for a moment and then got dressed, a crisp, clean white dress shirt, which was baggy in the sleeves and a pair of dark slacks, which weren't so noticeably baggy. He did up all but the top 3 buttons on the shirt and then looked over to the balcony where she was. He watched her for a few moments before slowly walking towards her, "Well, my sweet princess. You never did tell me where we would be going tonight."

"I thought you were going to plan out our date" she said without looking at him. His words had brought a smile to her lips as she continued to look out over the horizon. She wasn't wearing black for the first time since he'd known her, it was a forest green dress that was sheer and forming to her curves.

"Dinner, a Movie, and a walk on the river under the moon, there its decided. Now you just have to decide where are you taking me to eat, what movie are you taking me to, and i can't believe you showed up for our second date without flowers. Men!" she said as she laughed and turned to him her eyes dancing. "You look very handsome tonight Monsieur Xavier" she said with a soft smile as she walked up to him sliding her arm around his.

He smiled as he looked at her, "Oh, I'm sorry. I must have forgotten flowers." He smiled and then quickly twisted his hand and suddenly produced a black rose. He looked at her, raising an eyebrow, "But what is this?" He looked at her for a few more moments and then handed her the black rose, "I'm sorry this one isn't red..." He smiled softly and then brought his hand up running his fingers over her neck for a moment before stepping back.

He smiled softly holding his hand out to her, still holding his hand out to her, "Well, Raven. I suppose as long as we can find a comedy in the theaters I think we can go there." He smiled softly, "Horror movies don't have nearly as much effect on you when you are a monster yourself." He chuckled softly, "Tough I suppose if you promise to clutch onto me for support, warmth, and protection, I suppose I could enjoy it."
