The Day After In Iran.

None of us are lamenting the ayatollah’s death, right? Aside from everything else, this is an incredible opportunity for the Iranian people to try and install a more progressive political leadership. Even if it doesn’t work out, that opportunity is valuable.
^^^Amerikans are so insulated from cultural and political realities in the Middle East.

not "even"...."only".
It's the Iranian diaspora, far removed from smoldering ruins, doing the Iranian happy dance.

Yeah, the assassination of the Ayatollah, etc, has created a martyr mindset IN IRAN, etc.

I just saw images of a MASSIVE pro-regime rally IN IRAN, and the opposition has taken to making squeaking noises IN IRAN (and the same report indicated that the IRCG, etc, are still firmly in charge IN IRAN).

😳

Also:

DonOld has recently indicated that he might send U.S. forces into Iran if things don’t go the way he "planned".

😳 😑 🤬

We. Told. Them. So.

Well now, it appears the United States Embassy in Ridayh Saudi Arabia is in flames tonight. Gosh, whatever could have happened to have caused this?

Also wide-spread panic broke out in Qatar of all places (!!!) after reports in Bloomberg news said the United States military was seizing operational control of all Patriot missile batteries in the country for use to defend their depleted forward operating bases from another Iranian missile attack!

Why is Qatar panicking> Because at the United States' request they shot down two Iranian bombers today. And your average Qatari citizen realized that they are now at the mercy of both Iranian AND Israeli attacks. The emir of Qatar made the extremely rare public move of reassuring the Qatari people that NO Patriot Missile batteries have been relocated and that Bloomberg is a lying instigator. Bloomberg, in turn, stands by its reporting.

Oh, and the State Department tonight issued a directive that every single motherfucking American civilian in ALL Middle Eastern countries get the hell out of Dodge ASAP.

Who knows where this all spirals.

Assassinating the Ayatollah (an 86 year cancer-ridden figurehead on his way out) and turning him into a martyr??? NOT smart (See also: DonOld & the MAGAt republicans).

😑

🤬

One thing is for certain: This sure has fucked up the plans of the Middle East countries who had grand designs on becoming the new centers of gravity for wealth & finance…

That ^ might help some legacy wealth & finance centers - but if things really get out of hand…

🤔 😳 😑 🤬

Agreed. It's absolute fucking chaos....and the stumbling demented child king is right there in the center of it.

I don't think America will be respected again in my lifetime.

It boggles my mind how ignorant the Pig and his followers are about the history and culture of Iran, especially after the USA's military boondoggles in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The PEOPLE are running this world now not the government who you voted for! Its best you step out of the way because NOTHING CAN STOP WHATS COMING! Hint: It aint gonna fair to well for your Party of Perverts, Pedofiles And Canibals .

This "but but we done been at war with Iran for 47 years now" is the height of hypocrisy.

I'm guessing the hillbilly didn't learn from what was done to Mike Pence, did he?

Word is, the administration is not happy with the hillbilly.

"Sources said that Vance’s reluctance about a conflict with Iran was seen by Trump as a sign of disloyalty.

The New York Times reported that while Vance did not oppose the Iran strikes outright, the veep “intensely questioned” the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine, and CIA chief John Ratcliffe at an Iran planning meeting at the White House two days before the attacks.'

The Atlantic also reported that Vance was dubious about the Iran military stikes.

Have you not learned, hillbilly?

Those poor little school girls murdered over these pieces of shit.

Iran says its new leader made his 1st address, vowing to keep Strait of Hormuz closed
The war with Iran entered its 13th day Thursday, as Iran issued what it said was the first message from its new supreme leader, while attacks on commercial ships spread to Iraq's waters and oil prices climbed back above $100 a barrel.

In the statement that Iranian media attributed to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed and keep up attacks on U.S. bases in the region. Another person was heard reading out the remarks, with a photo of Khamenei posted on the TV screen, as the statement was broadcast around the world.

Anyone find it surprising that the air defenses that we've destroyed on day one are shooting down our "best military in the world" jets and planes?

I will just add to this - in no way does anything I say in this forum is meant to insult or put our military in a bad light. I will always hope their missions are executed with precision and success even if the leadership continues to make dumb decisions for those missions.

Remember when Dum-Dum Donnie said Iran was begging to make a deal?

Remember when Dum-Dum Donnie said other nations should send their navies to reopen the Strait of Hormuz? He insisted it would be easy and safe.

Now Dum-Dum Donnie is completely losing his shit because Iran won’t reopen the Strait, and he’s too afraid to send the US Navy through the Strait.

Sooner or later the Strait of Hormuz WILL be re-opened -- the world demands it.

The question is, who will do it and how.
