Pyrymis receives the messenger in his private chambers. After he hears what the hearld has to say, he sends him off with his thanks. He grabs one of his couriers and sends them to get Rune immediately. This could ruin all of their plans.
After your dragon was killed, Fin made sure the knite didn't make out of there alive. Oldwing Decided to retire...... Well to make a story short, There is an big war about to happen and the dragons need all the help they can get!
My new dragon.
Name: Char
Color: Saphire (Gold, blue)
Powers: Lighting, polymorph, regeneration, protetion.

Bio: Brother to Zyzzx by mother only. He was banished 100 years or so before Zyzzx birth. He was kicked out unjustly for his known acaitances in the rebellion. Since then he has obeyed his abanishment. Never leaveing the island.
IC: ...two years ago... Staying here is a death sentence, Pyrymis gose out to often some one will find out and we will all die. But leaveing means death. I can't even return to the colony to let them know he wanders out. Shit I have no options.
'What are you doing Char?' a nosey red asks. "Nothing now leave me alone, your rebellion got me in engough trouble a hundred years ago." Why you brat how dare you talk to a pure blood like that. The red slamed me with his tail and a felll into the water out cold.
...a few days ago...
'A group of dragons destroyed a city north of here.' 'Ya, I herd they even killed one.' 'Really?' 'Ya they say it's scales were pure silver.' 'Silver, that must be a fair amount of money. But imagine if one was made of gold. They could rebuild the town and have cash left over.' The two walk out of the bar.
Silver what an odd color for a dragon. Oh well it's none of my concern. But still these dwarves know of dragons maybe I should leave. After all I don't want them to know they have a dragon in there mist. Maybe I'll return to the colony.
Lheyklanth had related all he had to tell to all the dragons who would listen. About the humans, his talks with the elves, his meeting with the two travellers, his encounter with the Dragon Mother, her charge to him: to lead the Dragons into battle. As he looked from one dragon to the other, his story told, he wondered what they were thinking.
Some of them - the most loyal - were already looking up to him again as the leader of the colony, their eyes wide as they listened to his tale, believing it all and inspired by his meeting with the Dragon Mother. Still more looked upon him with doubt, even anger at the Supreme Father who had seemingly given up on them, only to return to try to reclaim his leadership. But most of the assembled dragons were too clever to let their feelings show.
Lheyklanth breathed in, his eyes looking over them all. "I realise you must be confused at the moment... I am confused as well. But I want you to know: I do NOT intend on taking up my role again as Supreme Father after the battle with the Lesser Folk. Should I live out the War, I will be too old to undertake all that stress again. Yet, the Dragon Mother tells me that without myself, you will fail against the Lesser beings. And this is the only reason I return to you: out of fear for the wellbeing of you, my friends, not for any position of power for myself."
Fin, as always, listened to every word oldwing had said. Yet already some of the dragons took the chance to revolt to what oldwing was saying. "HA!"
"Why should we listen to you? you're not even the Supreme father any more"
"Senial old fool! Why wold I listen to an old dragon like you!" That was all Fin could take of the dragons evil revolt "Silence! All of you!" As every bodie turned to Fins direction, he froze with sudden fear 'come on fin! What would Z say if he saw you frezze like that!?'
As fin recovered from the sudden shock to his system He spoke more clearly "Listen to Him! I had seen these warriors! And I had felt what these people could do! They had killed Z, they had almost defeated me, and the warriors of legends path!"
"And? You're just a pup! How can we trust the child of Yorin and Hayata!? They were outcast!" Fin's temper almost got the better of him, lucky for him Bleu was by his side, calming him carefuly.
"If you want to act like an fool and die without an fight, then fine! Be fools! Let these bastards come along and take away every thing we work for for over hundreds of years with one sweep! If not then prepair. This is going to be one hell of a week!"
As fin said that they all turned to Oldwing attension once again prepaired to listen to every instruction he would tell them.
Lheyklanth frowned down at little Fin, wondering why the dragon thought that he, the most powerful dragon in the world, would need protection, even spoken protection, from such a whelp.
"Fin... I appreciate your efforts, but please, I can handle myself. Now, what were you saying about news on the enemy?" the wise old dragon asked the little one.
Fin felt like an Idiot for an second but snapped out of it instantly "It seems tha they are looking for support from other villages. Yet at the moment they have no support except for the dwarfs. Also, they I had goten support from the Warriors of Legends path, there Leader ows me a favore...."
Rune walked into the room, already shaking his head.
"I know, I've heard. Word travels fast around this place. Believe me, the alliance is not broken. I doubt Oldwing came back to take his rightful place, it's only been a day since he left."
Still, this could be most displeasing. Oldwing might find out some of the true plans, but that would have to wait until later, lots of things were. First...
"First we need to get all of the dragons together, if Oldwing has something to say, he can say it to the entire colony."
He listened carefully for word that the scouts have brought back.
Yang flew. His destination was unknown. He just reveled in the joys of flight. When he was tired or hungry, the vast forests of the land provided him with sustenance and a place to rest.
During one such sojourn, Yang decided to morphed into a human. The feeling of helpless was soon upon him when the morph was completed. This frail being, with his soft hairless skin, hardly noticeable teeth, and weak arms and legs, was looked upon as food by the creatures of the forest. But despite all these physical failings, humans now outnumber the Elves and Dwarves, who appeared to be more suited for survival. What was it about the humans that made them not only survive the wilderness, but thriving as well.
Yang was beginning to be fascinated with this race. The wisps of smoke rising in the horizon signalled that a village was near. Yang made the trek to it, although he could have covered the distance easily in his true form. The forest was quiet, as the other creatures could see through his magic. But wisely, they kept their distance, even though Yang had just eaten. The sun was shining brightly through the tree, and soft grassy feel under his feet relaxed Yang. It had been a while since he felt such peace.
The sound of nearby stream called to him. A short nap by the soothing sounds of water would be welcomed.
Then as he approached the stream, Yang heard the most beautiful voice that he had ever heard. A girl was singing by the stream. She was washing some clothing, oblivious of the dangers of the forest. Her hair was as fair as her countenance. But her voice truly carried her beauty. She reveled in the joys of life and marveled at the wonders of nature. But she was also saddened by the unrequited love.
But nature had a nasty way of intruding reality into fantasy. A hungry brown bear came strolling by, a young male hurt by unrequited love. Food would banish such depressing thoughts, and the girl was food in the eyes of the bear. Creeping silently on its padded paws, the bear got close enough without being noticed. Well, not quite unnoticed.
Yang sprang from his place to be face to face with the bear. With a roar worthy of any man, Yang prepared for battle in this frail form. The bear actually blinked when confronted thus. But because animals could see through the magic, the bear decided that a confrontation with a Dragon, even one disguised as a human, would not be worthwhile. With a disappointed grunt, it left in search of a easier meal.
‘Thank you, kind sir…’ The girl looked at Yang with her bright blue eyes, unsure if she had just be saved or gotten into deeper trouble.
‘That’s nothing, my lady. I’m Yang, a stranger in these parts. And who might you be?’
Lheyklanth sighed, looking across at Fin. "That is good to hear, young one. Every ally is valuable, even the smallest. Remember that." Again he paused to sigh. The battle was already beginning to drown his spirits. "The Elves will most likely side with the humans, but they may have a change of heart..." he glanced sideways at the Half-elf, who nodded, a grim look on his face. "But that is enough for now. I need rest, as do these two..." he gestured a claw at the two Lesser beings. "They can make their stay in my chambers, they will not take too much space. Wake me when either Pyrymis or Rune come. Did I already ask you to retrieve them? My memory slips with my old age. If I did not, well, I would like them to meet me here."
And with that, the giant creature turned and made its way out of the chamber, followed by the mage and the half-elf. It was, if his memory served him well, the first time that any Lesser Beings had been in the Colony.
‘Oh, it was nothing… the bear thought that you might be an easy meal, but to have to fight for it is another thing altogether… We’re lucky, I guess. The bear wasn’t That hungry that it would have wasted a lot of energy fighting for its food…’ Yang hoped that his bullshit explanation was sufficient to put Jessica’s mind at ease.
‘Well, that was still amazing to say the least. Thank you. Thank you very much.’
Whew, thought Yang. That was close.
‘But why are you so far in the forest alone? There are more nasty things than bears…’
‘Oh, my village is close by. I usually have a lot of others around, but the war has gotten everyone excited. Most of the able bodied men, and some old men who don’t want to admit that they’re old, are going off to war. Humph! But they still leave laundry for us women to do.’
Yang laughed out loud, which brought a smile from Jessica. This was a good opportunity to get to know the race of humans.
‘Well, I’m done for the day. Where are you heading Yang?’
‘Here let me help you with the ‘laundry’…’ the word laundry having no connotations in his mind. He bent down to pick the wet clothes, and in the process got himself wet. This brought out an all out laughter from Jessica. She grabbed the wet clothes from Yang and deposited them in a basket, all the while laughing and mumbling about the lack of thought in men. She handed the basket to Yang, who was by this time looking really sheepish.
‘I don’t know where I’m going. The war has virtually depopulated villages. I don’t know what I’m looking for either…’
‘Well, you’re welcome at our village. It’s not fancy but its home to me. There is no inn, but you can stay in our barn. It’s not fancy either, but its warm and dry. Maybe I can help you to look for what ever it is you’re looking for,’ Jessica said with sincerity.
Yang realized that the humans were a very trusting race, and at the same time, a very suspicious one. Guess they were no different from Dragons. But still, does myth and legend have a stronger influence on reality? This was what Yang intended to find out when he agreed to stay for a few days at least.
The village was not a village per se. It was just a collection of wooden houses along a main thoroughfare. And the houses was actually a collection of wooden logs haphazardly nailed together. But Yang wasn’t there to admire the accommodation.
As oldwing gave more instrucktions, Fin turned to leave "Fin where are you going?" Fin slowly turned to Blue, "I'm going to the human villages, others than the ones I made ally's with."
"Alais?" Fin completely forgot that he didn't tell Blue that he had interacted with hummans for quite a while. "Er ah..."
"I knew it! I knew you were the runnaway dragon!" Fin's face came in complete confusion 'now how did that name get into the dragon colony?'
"..." Blue smiled "I'll explain later, go on Anfinos!"
Brazous arrives back at the colony. He immediately sets off for his fathers chambers, brushing off the hello's of friends. It is vital that his father knows what is going on. He enters his fathers chambers. He nods his head in greeting at Rune and the scouts. After the scouts reports, they leave. Brazous pipes up. "Father, the lesser folks in all directions are massing for an attack. They are preparing siege weapons and other types of mechanisms that will cause us trouble. I fear that we are in for a rude awakening. What do you wish of me father? "
Pyrymis smiles to his son in greeting. "Rune, Lets take at the dragons here back to the colony. We need to all be present to make this momentous of a decision involving the very future of dragon kind. After our course of action is decided, then we can move to one of these areas that the scouts have found for us. I fear that we must do this immediately, time is of the essence. "
"Brazous, I know that you are very tired from your journey. But I have needs of your services still. Please start to get the people prepared to go back to the colony. All the supplies can stay here, they only need to bring two days worth of food with them. There is plenty of water where we are going. We will come back and take this place down as needed after we talk to Oldwing. Go my son and do my bidding. "
Brazous looks over at his father. He understands the importance of his current task. He nods his head in acceptance. "Ah, Father, I will do as you ask. I will have the slowest member of the colony ready to leave within two hours. I will lead the first ones there, so there is no misunderstanding. I will stage those that arrive in the field north of the colony until Rune and yourself arrive to bring us all in . " Brazous left the room.
He goes out of his fathers chambers and goes to the highest point of the exile island. "Hear me all dragons. We have to leave to go back to the colony within the next hour. There is a decision that needs to be made that you all are a part of . We are not going to allow a few council members to determine the fate of our entire race. I need all the male dragons ready to leave within the hour, we will meet here in the square. All the female dragons and young, will meet here in 2 hours. Only bring enough rations for two days. We will be coming back to set the island aright after the decision is made. "
Rune growled slightly, the scales turning up on his back.
"If Oldwing does anything to break the alliance, he will have to be taken care of. Your people will have a better chance of performing this than mine will, they are still loyal to him. Not that I forsee this happening, but it's always good to have a back-up. I'll take my party now and go make certain arrangements back at the colony. There's going to be a lot of preparations needed."
He took the three dragons he had come in with, and flew off high into the sky. It was a short flight back, but Rune still felt a bit tired, and wasn't quite used to flying yet. His wings, screaming at him with each flap, finally settled once he reached the front entrance.
"Go, get the council ready, I have an annoucement for them."
The dragons led off, as he went down deep into the recesses to get a nice cool drink.
Everything was coming together, but it could fall apart at any moment. He had to keep on things, he had to. The fate of everything he had strived for was now at hand.
IC: I sat there, in the shade of a building. I was bored nothing of intrest ever happens in this small village. All I ever do is sit around in the form of a human. People chat and talk of goblins and orcs. Such a boreing life. I wounder how things are going with my kind. Hmm, why do I waste my time woundering? It's pointless if I return to either group I'm screwed over.
A young girl and man walk by. At this point I'm half tempted to rampage threw a village for fun, coarse that would just let me get killed. Huh I gaze threw the magic srounding the man in the couple. Well I'll be damned if it's not Yang. Maybe I'll watched him for a while.
Brazous looks at the assembled horde of male dragons. He views this massed strength with pride. He growls to them all. "We are going to the colony. We do not want to scare them into thinking we are invading, so we are all to land in the field north of the colony. Then once they are aware we are there and the women and children have arrived, we will go in together. Lets Fly." Brazous takes wing , leading a host of sheer draconian power.
Yang sensed a pair of eyes on him. Curiously, it wasn’t one of hatred, rather of surprise. Yang turned to see Zyzzx’s brother, Char, in the form of a human. Yang could not believe his eyes. Char must not have known about his brother’s death.
‘Excuse me, Jessica. I wish for a drink by yon well. I’ll meet up again with at your place later.’
‘That’s all right. My home is that one. Please feel free to join us for supper. My brother is off to war, so now its only my mother and me. We’ll be glad of your company.’ Jessica walked to the direction of one of the last houses of the village.
Yang walked over to Char, to share the shade and news. The afternoon was getting a bit hot, and in human form, Yang was feeling rather sun-burned, after so many years living in the caves. Char looked different, even in human form. He looked much older, and very bored.
‘Hello Char. Its been a while. I can see that exile has been good to you…’ Yang did not know how to break the news of his brother’s. more correctly his half-brother’s, death to Char. Char was beaming to see another Dragon after all these years.
Then Yang proceeded to tell him of the happenings this past few days and weeks. Skipping over Zyzzx’s death first, Yang told Char of the attack on Caemlyn by Pyrymis. And of Oldwing and the few Dragons who came to the town’s aid. About the appearance of the Black Knight, and how the Black Knight defeated Oldwing. The defeat of Oldwing brought changes to the colony. Oldwing abdicated the position of Supreme Father, and left the colony. Rune took over as head of the Dragon Council. Rune, in his wisdom, sought to reunite all the Dragons. And so, he took a delegation to the Exile’s Isle, and sought Pyrymis for this task. An accommodation was reached between the two. Meanwhile, Oldwing had an epiphany, and returned to the colony with means to defeat the Black Knight and perhaps defeat the armies of the Lesser folks now massed on the borders of Draklor Chain. This is how things stand at the moment. Oldwing was about to announce his plans, and he invited Pyrymis and Rune for this conference, a War Conference. A war that could decide the fate of Dragons, and to the same extent, the Lesser Folks.
‘Char, I don’t know how to tell you this, but I’m going to try. The Black Knight killed your brother Zyzzx. We’re fighting Pyrymis’ goons, when the Black Knight appeared. Zyzzx, like the rest of us, was helping Oldwing. Zyzzx is a hero in my books, because he helped Oldwing and me escaped while he attacked the Black Knight. But the Black Knight was too strong, even for a young Dragon like Zyzzx. The rest of us were too injured in the fight with Pyrymis and his henchmen. I’ve said a silent prayer to the Supreme Mother for the courage and sacrifice of Zyzzx. Now, Oldwing has brought back information on ways to defeat the Black Knight. Perhaps this is the time to end your exile.’
The silence was foreboding.
‘Char, the time has come for you to avenge your brother’s death. The colony beckons, and with Rune’s blessing, the exiles can safely return, without fear. Go. Go back to the colony now, Char.’
"Oldwing."
Oldwing's eyes flicked open as he regarded the dragon with a cool stare.
"A host of dragons have been spotted by our scouts, coming from the exiles' colony. They should be here within minutes." the sky dragon spoke.
Lheyklanth slowly stood up, stretching all of his ancient body.
"Then it is beginning." he said, his tone bland. "I shall meet with them."
And with that, the ancient grey dragon began to move from his private chambers.
Yang moved in next to me. Dose he want to talk? Hm what the hell is he doing out here any how? He probably wants to know why I'm not with the others like I'm supose to be.
....Insert Long chat here....
My brother. He says it like it's a lose to me. I saw him once before I was banished. But no one is banished now. Prehaps I should return. As a dragon it's important for me to fight. My brother did give his life for this cause. Maybe I would of done the same, no I'm not that type of selfless person or am I?
I look around to fine myself in the woods heading towards the colony. "Funny I didn't even notice I was walking." Odviously my subconsous knows I'm still loyal to my kind. "Who would of guess after 100 years I will return." Now is my chance to change my fate.
