The Economy

It really isn't. I see a mix, both locally and in 'the news'. While there is a lot of construction, that is hiking prices on materials and making renovations too expensive for many, so things have to be put off. I hear of businesses hiring and not being able to find workers, but I also hear of people being unable to find work because of unreasonable requirements by employers. They say unemployment is down, but that's in part because so many people have simply stopped looking for work for any number of reasons. And we still hear of multiple rounds of store closings and business failures.

The numbers in various reports are being skewed to show whatever the publisher wants to get across.

And we have the ever present evil of inflation which is costing people more.
 
The golf courses I play have raised rates because of a increased operating costs due to tariffs. Yay trickle down.

Don't forget Johnny, the board economists assured us that Trump's election, Trump's policies and Trump's tariffs were going to throw us into not just a recession, but a depression, not to mention WWIII (or maybe IV depending on how you recon such things).

It's terrible. The cost of everything is going up.

On the flip side, the things that need to be put off until you can afford them aren't the groceries.
