The Economy

Reducing America's domination of international economics is good for the planet as a whole. We abused our power by being gluttonous and belligerent since the end of the second World War.

Empires collapse from the sin of hubris.

I’ve been posting economic news in the “Thanks Biden” thread, but I think it’s time for a new dedicated thread.

Let’s begin with today’s good economic news:

US economic growth increased last quarter to a healthy 2.8% annual rate

Good news indeed.

The economy is cyclical so an eventual downturn is inevitable, but it’s not here yet.

I’m sure all Americans will be pleased by the continued strength of the economy.
Don't pay attention to any of the financial reviews in the news. If you want to know anything about the economy just ask me. I am the only source of truth. LOL

Not sure there is any economy news whilst the manipulator is starting wars, making peace deals and going back on them to manipulate the price of oil, uranium and other high risk assets!

It would require the wholesale expulsion of MAGAts from politics (and the wholesale prosecution of DonOld & the MAGAt republican cabal) for the process of rebuilding trust to even begin.

😑

We. Told. Then. So.

🌷
Even then, the trust is gone. Your country has the memory span of a goldfish. We simply do not trust you to not vote in another imbecile in 4 years that will piss on everything that was done to mend fences.

In the end, it's always the economy that takes them down.....and Trump is no exception

The White House is s inking ship....going down faster than the Titanic

On these numbers, he and the GOP are doomed....doomed, I tell ya....

What's funny, is that the old fucks here defending billionaires who hate them were alive the last time this happened 😳

April job report

115,000 jobs created (meh)
4.3% unemployment rate (unchanged)

February result was revised downward again to a loss of 156,000 jobs.

To put the numbers in context , the average number of jobs created per month in …
2025: 15,000
2024: 186,000
2023: 251,000

Reality VS desire fantasy: The illusion of a strong economic landscape will be in place for the midterm election and Trump will likely have both the house and senate with a good majority.

The Whirlpool corporation has paid an annual dividend on its common stock for the past 70 years.

This year it broke that tradition, stating the Trump tariffs made it fiscally impossible to pay a dividend.

Is America great again yet?
