People sometimes say "the good old days weren't as good as you think", and I'm sure that's true to an extent. But one thing is certain; they were much better than these times. No one will ever look back on these past fifty years in American History and consider then "the good old days". Unless, of course, if things get much worse, which I suppose is possible.

I mean started with a crooked Republican President and capped by a crooked Republican president. We can talk about eras in history in that fashion if you like. 50 years is a good measure. Or we can move on from the crooked Republican….but you want to go back.

The evening news showed stick figures representing the killed in Vietnam. Kennedy and Khrushchev tried to out bluff each other. Smog ruled the summers in the "great" cities like New York or LA. Florida was a mosquito infested swamp.
