first let’s play with the idea of who is graduating:
1. Mom or dad (or grandpa/grandma) had to put their life on hold to raise a family, deal with crises, etc. now after their own kids are grown they finally get their diploma. They are so excited they want a party but then feel a bit silly for asking for one when they’re so old…only to not only get one but to get laid before, during, and after.
2. Custodian: dude had a hard life and went to jail before he had a chance to graduate and then wound up only being able to get a job at his old school. However, he turned his life around and helped a lot of people out in between getting his job and finally getting his diploma.
So after he honorarily walks down the aisle and gets his diploma, he gets pulled into a locker room where his former teachers, classmates, and even some graduated students show him some appreciation for all he’s done

Now for a twist on the party:
Spoiled brat barely passed but she got her diploma and is going to college. She has a huge party waiting for her but her mom instead takes her to her tutor’s house (I was thinking tutor was a classmate or someone who graduated only a year or two before her by it it could be a professional tutor).
So brat either promised she’d have sex with her tutor if she passed or mom knows daughter didn’t pay tutor the money he/she was owed, so mom strips down and makes daughter strip down. Cause daughter needs to also make it through college and tutor is the only one who seems to be able to get daughter to retain anything so daughter is going to be paying the fees with her ass now, during and after the party.
If tutor is a female classmate, then they go to the same party and as brat is eating her out under the table, tutor then announces brat and her will be roommates at college

Rarely but not never, I've heard of kids inviting their favorite high school teacher to their college graduation party. Once in a very great while they actually show up.
I've said before how there's a regulating quality to taking a break from someone who came into your life at an inappropriate time or in an inappropriate way and coming back to find those feelings are still there. You are, in important ways, both new people at the reunion. You've had life experiences and time to gain perspective.
Lots of gender combinations that offer other potential story arcs besides "the teacher who saw something in me/helped me with my shitty home situation" including LGBT topics.
