well I figured the American Midwest needs more than just one thread. That is since the Midwest consists of the The Great Plains, The Heartland and the The Northern Forests.

So I decided to create the Heartland Directory.

So what is the Heartland then you ask? Well I looked it up at MSN Encarta, to make sure:
"The Heartland includes southern Wisconsin, lower Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, most of Ohio except for its far eastern part, Iowa, northern Missouri, far eastern South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and parts of Tennessee and Kentucky." --- Encarta

Anyway, now there's just one more place in the playground

Evening yall ... BTW got Family Pics done at Wal-Mart .... geeze ..... kids just wore my ass out trying to get all to sit and smile together *Sighs* ... plus trying to grin and smile through it all. You know how it is .... trying to say "Sit" .... "Smile damnit" ... all while "smiling" .. almost gritting your teeth.

I understand that prediciment! I'm supposed to be playing around with my webcam. Have a few done, but work during the week makes it difficult. I worked 8am-8pm last night. Tonite I'm happier. I get to use my FB's scanner to scan some paper pics This way I can play with my homepage again, and maybe get some stuff online. Who knows.

Hope the storm didn't screw up anymore of your yard! Sorry to hear about the flowers. Take it easy, and don't work too hard!!

I want to do an Omaha get together. Something casual. Someone once mentioned Ft. Crook Billiards.

Anyway, just a thought.

I'm busy on Saturday afternoon, but I'm open on Saturday night. So, what's everyone's take on that?

After talking to some others (Where are you AfterHours & Phelan?) then maybe we can all get something small together. It'll probably be just a few people, but that's fun too

I did have fun! It took a lot to go alone, but I knew there were at least 4 people there I knew. And those are bad odds. Yes, I said bad! One was at a booth, that was guaranteed. The others were amongst the crowd. I found two of them, the guy who gave me the tickets & his gf. I hung with them when I got tired of walking around.

It was a decent concert. I left at the perfect time so I missed traffic from hell.

I'm beginning to like this going places by myself. No more having to coax someone into leaving early, or staying late

I'm still not much for doing things alone. People say that it gets eaiser. Everyone says there is noting to do in Omaha or maybe anywhere else in the heartland. Anyone on this thread with places to go to have fun please share them. I'm still game for a meeting although like everyone time is so limited. Have a good mid- week everyone.

This is the first event that I've ever done alone!! And I'm how old?? My personality does not suit doing things by myself. Especially when a lot of people are involved. It took some courage to meet Rooster & BadKitty for the first time, but I just said, what the hell!! And I had a great time!

So, all I know is you have to do it! I don't even go to bars alone, god no! But I do tend to hit bookstores. That's a cool place. You find what you like, and may even find someone who likes those same things!!
