The 'How To' Contest Support Thread

New entry from Sex&Death is up today. :nana:

And RVC'd - good commonsense advice with a nice light touch.

I've a few more to read, I'll get to them this week.

Thank you to all those who RCVed my 50-word How To.

Unfortunately it is still just short of the minimum 25 votes required to be a valid entry and that is before the next sweep reduces the votes further.

A few votes would be appreciated please. I am visiting everyone else's entry in the next couple of days to R&V but probably not C.

Og

I noticed my comments hadn't shown up on a few that I did comment on, yours being one of them, Og. I hadn't checked in a while. I left a PC, maybe this time it will show.

Thank you. Much appreciated. It did.

I hope the votes will be updated soon so that I will know whether I have the minimum 25 or not.

Just getting round to RCVing the contest - but have read and loved yours.

2nd page?? sheesh...

bump

I think that is symptomatic of the general lack of enthusiasm for the How-To contest compared with say Valentine's Day.

I think this contest was a worthwhile innovation that has produced significant additions to the How-To category that will continue to help many authors for years to come, but its popularity has been low with readers.

Many of the How-Tos, including mine, are not erotic. Perhaps they are useful but not arousing.

Og (Now what can I do for Earth Day?)

Not a lot - Nude Day's next ;)

Old age is creeping up again.

Nude and Earthy would do, I suppose. I recycled a Halloween story for Earth Day. Perhaps I can recycle an Earth Day draft for Nude Day, and an incomplete Nude Day one for Halloween?

Sounds like a plan Og.
Completed one for N/D, not the one I was intending, that still requires considerable work.

I've thought about it, I've got nothing for it so far. None of the stories I'm working on fit, so I'd have to start something new. *sigh*

Got a last placer for N/D - Sex and Politics - but with slightly less sex :D I want to draw in some readers from the political threads

Sent you a PM, the last &nbsp is showing in each indented line, you need a ; semicolon after each.
Nothing's showing when I see it. I mean, the formatting isn't. The poem's perfectly okay.

Ok, let me try again. I can't see any &nbsp in there. They're invisible.

I believe one reason for the lukewarm reception is the limitation in what we can do. Everything has to be a "How-to" and I have never done one before. For Halloween or Valentine's Day or others, I can write in any category I want, and I am more familoiar with the other categories. :D

I see the strange formatting Neo's talking about...

Very very weird. Why can some see it and others can't? I don't see it either? So how do I submit an edit... I don't recall, I've never done it. It's ready, with the ; at the end of each segment.
