"Go, go, go, go, go, go, go," It came out as a machine gun of commands, as he pushed her forward. He didn't quite know where the truck was, but assumed she'd park somewhere close. He hoped she had anyway, if they had to go wandering through the darkness of the lot, with all those cars.
He just shuttered, as he pushed her to the truck, getting into the passenger side. He didn't think he could drive at the moment, and didn't want to test that theory all too well.
In the front of the hospital, where lights were glaring, and the entrance almost inviting, two people came out, looking around, followed by a third... then a fourth.
None of them wore hospital clothing.
"Gun it," he said, urging her on, "We don't have much time, just go. Somewhere deep in the woods. We'll stay away from towns, from any kind of civilization for awhile. Just, go somewhere deep and alone."
He shivered, leaning up to the side of his door for warmth, comfort of some kind. Medicine seemed to be reaking havoc on his system, his body's adrenaline and animal force already working to get rid of it, but still that meant he was beginning to feel tired again, and morose.
He would just lay here, half asleep, trying not to think about them following him.
He cursed himself, their smell.
"Wait... no, stop somewhere, someplace that sells cheap perfume. I don't care if they're open or not. We'll break in, but we won't go far with our scent still in the air. They can follow it, no matter how faint. We need to get rid of it."
