the hunt for the egyptian legend

Ooc: I knew I wasn't crazy. Hey whatever happened to Lightman and Intriguess? Well, no more sexual interludes... (damnit)

Blore walked inside, carrying his torch. He couldn't help but have one of his hands instinctively go to his sixshooters placed firmly on his hip.
(I don't know why, but I actually feel more powerful knowing that this guy has so many guns... I must be a guy)
He placed his hand on one of the walls. He soon found a huge torch, and lit it promtply.
The cavern secluded deep into the cliff. One look at the walls and he could tell this was no natural cave. Thousands if not millions of hebrew slaves must have carved this. It was solid rock too, the ignious kind (made from lava, lol), that was the hardest rock in the world.
The blood of slaves were on this wall, Blore shuttered silently. (small history lesson, sorry won't happen again)
Blore moved on, feeling a cold breeze come out of the cave. He knew that wasn't natural. Breezes came into caves, not out of them.
Breathing in heavily he could smell sulfur.
He knew it, this entire place was built under a volcanoe. All be it, a volcanoe that no one could see, it must have lied dormant for millions of years as the sand shaped it to the cliffs it now was.
(holy crap, talk about tying everything in)
The smell of sulfur got stronger, if it ever was dormant, it wasn't now. There was something alive down there.
A shiver went up his spine, he hated saying that, but knew it to be true.
Blore walked on.

LAVA

I heard Vincent. I opened my eyes. I felt suffocated. That is when the smell reached me. (Pooh you are one sexy genious). Sulfur. I reached to touch my head, my fingers were sore. Placing one in my mouth, I tasted...blood. I remembered my dream. No...it couldn't, it was just a dream. I struggled to sit up, reaching my hand out to find Vincent, I found him. "VINCENT?"

"I'm right here. I can't light a match. It won't stay lit."
he said.

"that is because she doesn't want you to see." I felt a glowing at my throat. More of a radiation of heat. That is when I felt it. THe amulet, upon my neck. Terrified, I tried to tear it off. Yet, when it broke, it bound itself back together.

"Are you ok? We need to leave this room." I told him

"I....have this strange de-ja-vou, feel the wall, there should be a circle. " I told him in a whisper.

"yes, I feel it."

there was nothing in the scrolls about a circle.

"Walk close to that wall, the traps aren't triggered on that side." I laid a hand gently on his waist while behind him.

"TRAPS? WHAT TRAPS?" he said.
"I....don't know...but I remember this room."
"Lava...you were never here, no one was."
"Vincent, I was."
That is when I told him to stop.
"Lava, this is all just an odd coincidence, maybe you remember reading this somewhere."

I hushed him.

"Sopholiti enters." I had absolutely no clue where that came from.

That is when the door opened. No light entered the dark rooms we were in, and no darkness entered the room full of light.

Vincent

I tried to look from where the sound was coming from, but i could not see anything.

"lava....what is that...it feals almost...evil..." i said my voice shaky at the fealing of a cold air that entered the room...i did not know what it was, but it made me a bit nevious. I reached back getting one of my guns and brought it forward.

"that won't help..." lava said as i had brought it forward...i wanted to belive her, "ok..." but i kept it out...it made me feal safer, "no shhh..." she said again to me, and i became still and quiet.

Violet

(if this is all screwed up forgive me I was confused throughout the posts)

In one second they were gone, in a whirlwind of sand and eerie mist, Vincent, Blore, Lava and the other guides and guards. I glanced over at Robert and he stammered.

"I'm not egyptian, are you?"

"No," I softly murmur picking up the remnants of a scroll. Reading and rereading the words.

(ooc. No your not, at least that is what I think, Lava and Vincent were pulled into a secret room. Blore went in through the entrance. You all can follow or....find some other way to get in. Or just have some good ole fun ;)

Ooc: I'm all alone, and would love some company... especialy some sexual interluding company.
A sexual genious? I don't know about that, but I am pretty smart. Get it? Sexual genious, pretty smart?
Damnit, why do I have to keep explaining my jokes

Was that Lava? He looked in the direction. No, it couldn't have been. It was a wall. Pure and simple, it was just a wall.
He felt it with his hand. The wall was cold and forbidding, despite the heat that was radiating from it. He placed his ear to it.
It was Lava, lava and Vincent. They were both alive, and behind this wall. He listened carefully.
"... traps, traps...."
Traps? There were traps? What a fool he was, and all this time he was simply walking forward. JACKASS, he thought to himself harshly. He would have to be careful from now on.
"...Sopholiti comes..."
Sopholiti? Who in the hell was that? It seemed familiar, didn't it? He tried it a few times. No, didn't ring a bell.
Wait a minute, wasn't she the same person whose trasure they were all aft...
A sudden earthquake rocked the cave. He felt rocks hitting him from above, but nothing big. Blore fell to the ground, waiting for it to be over.
When it was he could see a faint light ahead. He couldn't help but begin to finally be scared. All of the weapons needed were basically in his possesion, but he still felt scared right down to his toes.
"Sopholiti comes," he said silently. A shiver went up his spine.

LAVA

(ooc...hey sexy man >that'd be you pooh ;)< find a way to get me all alone, and maybe.....er......we can arrange it...)

Then I figured out where the words came from...my mouth. The room began to shake. Walls were crumbling. The whole place would collapse and I had only been here for a few minutes. My dream, my life's work, crumbling due to some god-forsaken curse. The curse I let loose. Then my namesake temper came loose.
"STOP!" Hell, shouting didn't do anything but make me feel better.

"Lava......lava......it...stopped!" Vincent looked at me with wide eyes.

"sa...say what?" I stammered

"IT STOPPED!" He grinned from ear to ear and laughed.

"maybe I should be bossy more often..." I joked, a half-hearted smile coming from my mouth.

That is when I felt the amulet begin to radiate immense amounts of heat. "I...I want this off my neck. I really....really really...want this off my neck. I can't get it off." The warmth was no longer warmth but searing heat. Vincent grabbed it, scalding his hands. That is when I saw the looming figure in the settling dust. The thing was emerging from another corridor. It looked like a main room, with a wall knocked down.

It began to move towards us. Vincent went for his weapons. I stopped him, putting my hand gently on his arm. I walked forward. Forgetting about the heat eminating from the necklace I had coveted all those years. Fear took the best of me and something was drawing me to it.

That is when I recognized it, it was actually a him, "BLORE?!!!!!"

"Well," he said, sheathing his sword, "It ain't the toothfairy."
He hugged Lava with a great strength. He had never been so glad to see her in all hise life. Yet, one searing hot neck pain made him stop.
"Ouch, what in the..."
He looked at it. An amulet? No, not an amulet, the amulet. He had heard about this one. The amulet of lava, or something like that. It was extremely valuable, and extremely cursed. It was said many a people died over it.
"Lava, this is no time for jewelry, we have to."
A sound came from the far side of the room. A huge piece of the wall suddenly collapsed down. He could see it gave way to a huge room.
Blore looked at the room, and then back at the way he had come. Should he dare? No one had been in here for at least three thousand years, maybe even more.
No, no Lava neede to get out of here. He took one final look at the room and then took a strong hold on Lava's hand.
"Come on, we need to get out of here."

Vincent

I looked at the new opening, i knew lava wanted to explore it...if not her...then i would "fine blore, take her out of here, she needs to be out of dangers way, i'll go on." i looked at it and started to walk through the new opening.

ooc

ok...i', a bit lost. I could of course just anything, but i thought i'd first check with intriguess...where are we, where do we go, etc?

LAVA

"I ...I can't get it off. " I said, remembering it was still there. "I'm not leaving, I have to finish this, you two NEED TO LEAVE. I...I am not going to explain. YOu know me well enough Blore to know when I'm serious and when to listen." I kept trying to pull off the necklace, scorching my hands in the process. When they hadn't moved I got angry. "DON'T YOU GET IT. EGYPTIAN BLOOD. MINE. I have to find a way to stop it, or I don't know if anyone can stop it. She talked to me." The looked at her like she was stupid. "Don't look at me that way. When we fell, how do you think she gave me the necklace."

"lava, she has been dead for at least five thousand years." Blore replied.

"I don't lie and I'm not hallucinating!" That is when I began to feel the amulet burning. Silk began to flow from the center, encircling my body and burning my remaining clothing in the process. I just stared on with horror. The white silk draped around my body. I got an image flash of Sopholoti, draped in silk, amulet around her neck.

"WHAT IN ALL OF EGYPT?" I shrieked.

It continued to glow, gold spilled from it's ruby red center, rubies and the jewlry that seemed all too familiar wrapped itself around my body. "Someone help me." I whispered.

Blore watched as she was enfolded with what appeared to be a white flowing light. It was awe inspiring, something one could only describe as a poet.
He watched Vincent try to help her. Blore unsheathed his sword, and touched the man's hand lightly.
"You touch that, and you'll lose a lot more than your hand, you get me."
He wanted to help her too, but he knew there was nothing he could do. The egyptian queen had what she wanted.
Blore looked at her. She seemed to scream at him to help, but nothing more than a few squeaks could be heard.
He looked at the opening beyond her. Whatever was doing this, dead or alive, was in there.
"Vincent, your the guide," he said, nodding toward the enrance, "So go guide. The only way we'll help her is through there."
He just hoped he had enough ammo to stop whatever was beyond those forbidding walls.

Vincent

I knew he was right...i couldn't help her this way...and for all i knew...i could die just trying to touch a strand of her hair...So i did as he suggested, we began a journy deeper, I walked through he had the tourch, i pulled out my machety and one of my magnums and looked around. "Well...looks like just through that door..." it had all the markings of the tomb, I looked around the smaller room i was in, maybe it was a trick...I looked down "wait!" he had began to search the door, "Don't open that!" i looked down, the ground was stone, not like the rest, i looked at the center..."here, this is the real tomb...down here" i began to search for some way to open it.

Blore glanced down at Vincent.
"A machety and guns?" he asked at present, "Since when did you have time to pack? Do you always travel around with this much gear to breakfast?"
The last thing they had been doing before all this happened was breakfast, Blore didn't see him have any time to change his clothes, much less put on an aresnol like him (sorry, but I am a bit curious myself on how you pulled it off).
He shrugged his shoulders as the man suggestwed another route. It was his cave, and Blore followed the man.
"Hey, your the guide, I'm just here to blow up stuff, and kill whatever might be undead."
The room was dark, extremely dark. The light from the torch couldn't even pierce the blackness coming to envelop them. He stepped back, taking out one of his "special" lights.
"Watch out," he said (we need some Mummy mirrors, but we're probably in the wrong century, have to improvise).
He threw in a diesel home made bomb. One of his specialities. It exploded in the center of the room, sending a halo of light throughout the place. It was long burning, they would have light there for a good hour or more.
Not like he would want to spend that long here, mind you.

Vincent

I looked at the blazing fire that was going now, nice inovation, it would last for as long as we needed, hoping it wouldn't be that long. I looked at him, he had asked about my weapons, "oh and by the way, my weapons, i sleep with them, it makes me sleep...more sound" i said and put away my machety, we had gone down the door in the floor, and now it was a large cave. We had found the end, it was not as long as i had thought it would be, Blore threw a nice little campfire together and the door was infront of us. I looked around, there must be some sort of traps (Maybe some locusts or scarubs are needed eh?) I walked over, i saw some writing and intentions in the wall to the right. I slowly read over it, it had the curse, the legend, all of it up on the wall. I saw something at the end, i read it, it said something about the amulet, and how without it, you had to figure out the puzzle, I figured it was the start of the puzzle. I looked over at Blore, "well, looks like this might be the way in..." i said slowly pressing it in. I stepped back and the door slowly opened, i backed up to where Blore was. Once it opened, i heared a buzzing, "What tha hell is that?" Blore said, I turned to him, "Get some more of those bombs ready!" he grabbed a few in a hand and looked at me questionably, but then what seemed like thousands of locusts flew through the door. His eyes widened, and i'm sure mine were like shiny dish plates too. He quickly threw the bombs at them many seemed to explode, few got to us, the ones that did scratched us, but flew by us quickly, heading for the surface it seemed. I looked at him "Well, looks like we are on our way" i said as i stood up after the onslaught of bugs.

Ya'll leavin lil ole me to contend with a big baddy psycho dead pharoah...thanks.

LAVA:

I couldn't do anything but stare. The jewels wrapped around me and in a flash, brilliance was around me. I couldn't see anything. Then someone walked towards me, in the great brilliant light I stared in awe. A figure, a man, egyptian, wearing clothing of the ancient, and the royal. My hair flew around me, small strands braiding themselves and mixing themselves into an awry of my black hair. A small band of gold made it's way around my forehead. Dark lining around my eyes, the seal of the pharoah grew from the band on my forehead. I stared upwards, crossed eyed, trying to see. The traditionaly snake rose from the depths of the gold in the band. Sandals wrapped around my feet, rings around my fingers, an arm band literally grew and the man was in front of me. I gasped. I wasn't one to frighten easily. The man looked familiar. So incredibly familiar, but I couldn't place it.

"Sopholoti, Come with me." The man's voice trailed into my ears, like a siren's call.

"I'm NOT SOPHOLOTI, I'm Lava. " I said confused. He grabbed my face in one of his bronze massive hands. "You will remember soon enough." He let go roughly. "There is something different. Your aura. It is quite refreshing. You will do a splendid job. We will all rise, conquer, live for eternity."

"What the hell are you on man? Are you incredibly insane? I'm Lava. I am an archeologist among other things. No queen. I don't want this amulet anymore. TAKE IT." I tugged at it again, scorching my hands, I kept touching it like a child who didn't learn.

"Sopholoti says she will rise, so she shall. You will learn to let her. Follow me." He said.

"I will not and will never follow you. I want my friends. NOW." I was getting angry, the temper that so quickly burns within me normally was nothing in comparison. The man cringed. The amulet radiated brighter, yet this time, I felt it pouring into my body.

"Sopholoti will take over your body soon enough. May the power of Sopholoti spare your weak soul." He spat at me, fear in his eyes.

My temper flared. "Patience is not MY virtue, I wish you would GO BACK WHERE YOU BELONG." His eyes widened, then he fell, flowing into dust, wind took him away.

The white light blared all around me, the feeling was panic, revenge, and all the emotions teh stories of her tried to show. I thought for a moment, I told him to leave...he did. If I told the light to go away. Hell, it was worth a try, and I was getting a headache. I was probably dreaming anyway. Blore probably got me drunk and I passed out. Yeah, well in my dreams, I do what I want. "I wish this light would cease." And....it did.

I blinked. I was back in the dimly lit room. "In the name of Egypt!" I exclaimed.

"BLORE! VINCENT!" I walked, still adorned in the finery. A golden staff in my hand. I stared at it. I walked towards the room they spoke of earlier. The room was familiar, all the sensations seeming like I had amnesia, and I was just remembering. There was a room, past this one. Trapped. Locusts. I saw them. "BLORE! VINCENT!"

Blore got up slowly, wiping a few locusts from off his cloak. Damn insects, where in the hell do you get locusts in the desert anyway?
He stared at Vincent acutely.
"I think we should get something straight," he said, taking out his longsword. The path ahead was still quite dark.
"Your the guide. Lava hired you to guide, not to fight evil monsters, not to tell me what to do, and certainly not to order me around like I'm some sort of servant."
He stared into the darkness, there was something coming from ahead. A light? He wasn't sure, but it was certainly something.
It was Lava, she was here. He knew she would be. He ran to her, not caring what was in the darkness, only knowing she was at the other side.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
She didn't seem like she was hurt, but something in her eyes told him something wasn't wrong.
"Are you ready my queen?" Something powerful asked from across the room. All of the sudden a blaze of light engulfed them. The room lit up, from some unseen light. He looked around, what in the hell had they ust gotten themselves into.
At the top was someone, bending over what seemed like a tomb. One of those fancy ones, used for only royalty.
My queen? Who was their queen? But he already knew, even before he knew there was something in his mind that told him.
Lava was the new queen of egypt.

Violet

"You know it odd, they're probably down their discovering things that haven't been seen by any living human and all I can think of is how best to use this time alone with you."

Lava

I walked quickly over to Blore. "I think we royally pissed them off. They don't understand English. Only Ancient Egyptian. And their dialect is completely beyond me. I can pick up pieces. But in my mind.....I know this sounds odd. I can understand them. I don't know how to explain. I was wondering if you remember reading about it, or have studied it. Vincent? you are supposed to be fluent in this area." I whispered.

The forms in front of us halted. They faced us and bowed.

My brows furrowed in confusion.

"My queen? are you ready?" Said the tall bronzed man. He wore the garments of a priest and He had no hair upon his head. He held out his hand and smiled evilly.

My lip quivered in a sneer. "I'm not your damned queen. I swear to the gods that I'm dreaming. Dead people cannot talk. Therefore, if you are dead, you can't talk. I'm not hearing you.....This is all a dream. " I rambled on, pacing. "Blore, am I being that irrational, that A dead man is talking to me?" I held him by the shoulders, "I hae absolutely no CLUE what they are talking about. ANd this god forsaken dream doesn't seem to be ending!" I kept rambling on and on. He knows that when I'm nervous, I do it to keep myself under control.

"Lava, this isn't any dream." Blore told me, seriousness in his face.

My eyes widened, as I tried to rationalize. "OH YES IT IS. I wouldn't have the courage to do this in real life. Also, um.......I wouldn't ever tell you this either.....You are the only man that frightens me, I don't know what the hell I feel for you, nor.....why I can't tell you this in real life. Watch this. "

I grabbed Blore by the neck and brought my lips up to his. A sweet gentle kiss, passion intertwined. I pulled away.

"told you....has to be a dream." He looked at me stunned.

"I'm only thinking rationally here guys." I walked over to the sarcophagus. "this guy, right here...If I tell him to go away. He will. " I shrugged.

Blore looked at me in horror. Vincent had a look of ~she is insane~.

I peered into the sarcophagus. I froze. "Oh my....."

Inside, were the ancient books. And a mummy. Adorned just like me, and whose bone structure was in an uncanny resemblence. I turned to the priest who stood there, hands folded in front of him. He grabbed one of the books. "It is time." He said.

I looked at him in horror. The floor began to rumble. I looked at him, and plainly said. "I'd appreciate if oyu would leave me alone right now." I said matter-o-factly.

He frowned. "you may be able to banish me, but your powers are no match for......" and he blew away like dust in the wind.

"see guys...a dream. "

Robert

Robert was staring at the tomb's yawning entrance as he hear Violet's words.

"Yes...I...I feel the same, somehow. But we can't leave them to their fate."

"Of course not" said Violet, slightly reluctantly, but Robert knew she was ready for anything. As she started walking towards the tomb, however, he held her back.

"No. Not that way."
She looked at him quizzically. "What do you mean? They're all somewhere in there."

"I know. But whatever danger they might be in...I don't think we would be of any help."
Robert's words sounded distant, even to himself. He wasn't entirely aware why, but he knew what he had to do. He stuck the revolver Blre had given him into his belt, and took his staff from Djed's saddle.
The he looked towards the cliffs again...not towards the great entrance, but to the stone lion that still stood on its left side.

Another thought flashed through his head, and before he had time to think about it, he said
"Violet...where is the book of Hathor?"

OOC I've thought of a little plot twist which might rove to get interesting...hope you don't mind

Vincent

....maybe it was just me how i felt, oh well, it has been once before. I must not mix fealings with work...i sighed looking forward.

I walked tword Lava, "Lava, this is no dream, if I hit you it would hurt, if you were shot, you would die, that kiss, was real, everything, is as it is. It may seem as if it is not, as if it is a dream....but it is real, all of it...the curse, has taken its form...into this. That is the only thing that comes to mind to me...the curse was not to harm, but it was to change the new to the old..." I looked at Lava, "i hope you understood that...and one more thing" i turned around to Blore "I might be the guide, but if you don't listen to me, you might as well shoot yourself right now, because it might seem like i am bossing you around, but i am here to make sure nobody dies, and we finish this, now DON'T take that sort of voice to me...again" i said hearing it bounce off the walls of the tomb. Or what i thought was the tomb. I turned around and walked tword the sarcofigus (sorry if i spelt that wrong, not a big spelling bee camp here) "now...an experiment" i reached in, i had my machety in my other hand, i cut off a bit of clothing. I looked over seeing lava missing part from her shoulder, "well...looks like we figured something out" i said looking back down, I picked up one of the books "The Queen...will live again" i read off the cover, i began to look it over, reading it quickly, it explained what was happening...but as if...it were the past, and we had traveled there...i didn't understand it.

Blore rolled his eyes and gave a big sigh. He looked around the room.
"Save the speeches for when someone cares," he said abruptly, "The only person who hired me was Lava, unless you start paying my wages, then youhad better shut your mouth."
He walked over to Lava. She had kissed him hadn't she. Her words were somewhat lovingly, touching his own soul. He even began believing her that this was all a dream. Some fantastic dream, that they experienced together.
But it wasn't.
"This isn't mean to change her for the better, don't you get it. They wanted her to come here, they have been planning this forever. You don't think the rising of the queen will mean that the good fairy land of magic will return to this world."
He looked at the man, almost in sheer dissatisfaction.
"They want to kill her, no,sacrifice her so they can have some demeanted egyptian ritual."
He had read something about that, ot just sacrifices but other ones too... sexual (lightman's book comes into play) even worse than that.
Blore reached in his back. The fifth handle from the bottom. Second, no that was a double shot gun, fourth? Not exactly, it was a sniper rifle.
There we go. A tommy gun. It might not exactly fit these ancient surroundings, but it would do in a pinch.
He loaded it up. This would help put a dent to some sort of ten thousand year old curse.

violet

"I've been carrying it with me actually." I take the book out of one of the many pockets in my vest as we head towards the lions head and I hand the book over.

real? Lava.

( KISS ME BACK YOU FOOL!!!!!!!! Hey .....I know this is sort of ruinin the story, The surprise aspect, but I was thinking. To have the real Sopholoti impersonate Lava. I get to kick her ass. and I can't wait to see what you have...intriguess...up your sleeve...I'm intrigued...lol...)

I just stared at them. I turned around and stared into the coffin. The dried bones sat their haunting me. A book clasped between her dried hands. I grabbed the book, she clung to it. I shook it free, almost falling in the process, with a small grunt I got it free.

"If this is no dream. Um....there are things I will clear up later." I looked at Blore.

"But for now. We have a larger worry on our hands. " I began to read aloud.

"In the last year of the queen's silence, one shall come, with hair as hers was, eyes as hers were, a face, to shine comparison to the Everlasting Queen. The queen shall return. Reincarnate. To reign again."

That was the last page. "just great, some psycho bag of bones is going to kill me, take my soul or something and take over the world. " I slammed the book shut.

"Is there something you aren't telling me?" I asked blore. He looked as if something crossed his mind. "I don't know how they plan to do all this. It was never in the scrolls. Besides the blood part." I shuddered.

The chanting began.

(yeah, make this a sex ritual sort of thing....hehe......use me......er.......I mean, save me ;) )

I looked around hurridly, The figures in the wall began to animate. Chanting and making odd movements. I hurried over to Vincent and Blore. "Weapons, lots and lots of weapons." I said. "NOW." Before me a golden dagger appeared. "Not what I was expecting. Told you this was a dream." I heard the click of a gun, I grasped the dagger.

The figures began to slowly move closer, their morbid dance and eerie chants had my skin crawling. But they were pulling me towards them. I was being drawn.
