the hunt for the egyptian legend

Violet

I murmur and answer good morning, and that I should go before someone misses me. I slowly and relunctantly disentangle myself. Were I at home I'd probably enjoy his body again. Then again if I were home we never would have met. I slide my clothing on and made my way to my tent, changing into fresh clothing and combing my tossled hair. I packed my things up and headed out smelling the deliscous scent of coffee. Couldn't stand to drink the stuff but it certainly tasted good.

Robert

Robert looked after Violet in regret, then got up and dressed.

Damn! I wanted to ask her wether she still had the book of Hathor, didn't I? Oh, well.

Robert stepped outside, gazing at the majestic cillfs before them....today would be an interesting day.

ummm....is this dead???

OOC: sorry, been away, and comp was fucked up to no end, i just really got everything fixed on it so, i can post again. So...whats goen on?

NOT dead

(I have been away...working...NO more of leaving you guys...promise...)

I awoke, The light shining in on my tent. I don't even remember how I got INTO my tent. I stretched, sleek like a cat. Using the basin of water I had at the base of my tent, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and Stepped out into the morning air, still chilled from the frigid desert cold. I smiled. Off in the distance, just in sight, was the tomb, or at least we hoped. "Morning ALL!" I said cheerily as I bounded into the camp. I sat next to Blore. "Almost there." I whispered into his ear. Cheerfully I kissed him on the cheek. I got up and Grabbed some coffee. I bit my bottom lip in anticipation as I looked in the direction of the tomb.

*Thinks quickly* Vincent Calorne

I had stayed up most of the night looking at the stars, everybody had seemed to gather around, so i quickly gathered my things and packed up what i needed to. I quickly threw on some clothes, and put on my black robe, and walked over to the others. Lava seemed to be quiet happy, and i was glad i had found it easy enough. I sat down near by her, and took a cup and poored some coffee.

Violet

I watched as camp gathered together and sorted out as we were nearly at our destination. the path ahead seemed gloomy ominous and very lonely. I wondered if I could talk to robert about the buddy system, after all it was when you were alone that the tombs seemed to create mysterious deaths.

Blore looked at Lava curiously. What had gotten into her? He shook his head, maybe the desert air. It didn't matter anyway.
"I found it," he said, to the group assembling for breakfast.
"What?"
"The lion. The one that marks the entrance, last night I was .... uhhhh out for a stroll and I found it. It's only a quick stroll to the left. Hell, we couldn't have picked a closer spot than if we had camped right on it."
He got up, fixing another cup of coffee. It had drowned out the hangover, and he was beginning to feel like his old self again.
Blore quickly made a breakfast of dried meat and potatoes... nothing luxurious, but filled with the essentials that everyone needed to get through the day. They would save the good meals for when treasure was found.
Or when they were running for their lives from the curse...
Whichever came first.
Blore took a drink from his sixth cup of coffe. It was good.

Lava-

(OOC. I am experimenting in first and second person writing styles so excuse my non-conformaty)

She smiled as Vincent took a seat next to her. "Morning. I should have hired you sooner, your expertise are wonderful."
He laughed. She noticed the tanned colored skin as it contrasted perfectly when he smiled, his teeth, gloriously white attracted her attention. SHe had to pull her gaze away before it lingered on any more 'serious' areas. Luckily Blore began talking, she beamed as he said the entrance was so close. She nearly knocked herself and Vincent off the gear bags they had sat themself upon. "GOOD HEAVENS! WHY DIDN'T YOU COME TO MY TENT AND TELL ME?" She whispered hastily as she dragged Blore away just far enough away from the others. She beamed with happiness again. "but....I can't figure out how to get the second chamber door open, it isn't just going to open by itself. The main door is no problem, even if it needs to be forced open...but...I am missing pieces to this...." She pulled out the scrolls from a small pack she wore almost all the time.

Vincent Calorne

I had almost fallen back when Lava jumped up at the hearing that blore found the first door. I smiled at the fact that she was happy...she had almost drawn me in when she looked at me before. I couldn't help it, i'm sure it has happened before, but i have never felt something so powerful before. I poured myself another cup of coffee, and slowly sipped it looking at the others. It had been a buisy night it seemed for some.

Robert

Robert finished his cup of coffee, gazing at the cliffs in the distance.
He felt strangely restless--it was more than the usual expedition excitement.
Hadn't there been a dream this night...only he could not remember...
Then he remembered something else. Smiling, he made his way over to Violet.
"Good morning" he said(after all, the other weren't to know they had woken up in the same tent that morning) "Um, I was just wondering...is it possible that you still have...the book I showed you?"

Violet

"well, I did have a great night's sleep." I smile watching his face redden slightly. "of course, the book. I was planning on browsing through it some more, perhaps we could read it together again some time?" I make it sound very casual even as I lick my lips. Trying to think of mission ahead instead of how you felt between my legs.

Blore smiled at Lava.
"I would have come in your tent... but you remember what happened last time I did that."
She furrowed her brow.
"I'll give you a hint, it happened twice."
Her facial expressions changed immediately. Blore nodded, agreeing.
"Besides, we have more important things to worry about now... like this."
He pulled out the last scroll along with his revolver, "Now let's go get our treasure."

(Short and sweet, just how I like my... uhhhh posts, yeah, thats it. That will fool those simpl... I'm still writing, aren't I?)

Robert

Despite his best efforts, Robert could not prevent himself from blushing.
"Er...sure, no problem. I just wanted to know where it is. It has...sentimental value, you might say" he said, giving Violet a quick wink.

Violet

I wink back and we head towards Lava together, wondering what she's so exicted about rummaging through old scrolls and shouting with glee.

LAVA

When he pulled out the last scroll my eyes widened. "WHAT IS..."

I hurridly opened it. "GOOD GODS!" I almost fainted.

Without realizing it, the language that I had crammed into my head, forced myself to know and use began to flow from my tounge. Ancient Egyptian, They all stared at me like I was crazy. I began reading it outloud. "This at the bottom" I said hurridly in English. "I didn't realize what it said until I read it out loud...Dear...WHAT HAVE I DONE!"

Scroll reads:

Ancient disasters befall you.
May your world fall apart.
The curse of the Lady Pharoah.
Be upon your cursed heart.
Life as you know it, will cease.

................the curse....had been set free...

Vincent Calorne

I got up once i heard lava scream almost, i ran over to see what the problem was. I went around her looking over her shoulder reading the script..."it was true..." i exclaimed softly under my breath almost...i couldn't belive it..."lava...i'm sure it will be ok" she broke down crying almost, and she fell backwords into my arms, she dropped the scroll and almost fell onto the ground, but i wrapped my arms around her so she would not.

Blore watched her go. This was it, they were going home. Their lives weren't worth any fortune, even if their were enough priceless items to buy him an early tequila grave.
He walked back to tell everyone, but couldn't get there. They earth began trembling and shaking Blore fell down hard, although it wasn't that hard since it was only sand.
He looked back to the entrance, something was coming out of cliffs, something was actually moving from them.
Blore scraped himself out of the sand, running back to the group. He grabbed the fourth scroll, and threw it as far as he could.
The trembling stopped, a huge entrance to a cave stood before them.
"Curse anyone?" he asked. He would need to get more guns.

LAVA

Vincent held me so I didn't fall. The rumbling began. "GOOD HEAVENS...I HAVE DOOMED US ALL." I trembled. Blore threw the last scroll. THe trembling stopped and a door appeared.

I fumbled and grabbed the first scroll from my pack and lined up the rest of them on the sand.

"The ancient door ......." said scroll one. "of mystery will be opened with" said scroll two "Blood" Scroll three, and the last "of the ancients."

I swallowed hard. The entrance opened. Well, if the door opened, and I was...the descendant......

"BLORRRRRE!" I yelled. I pointed frantically. Vincent held me steady.

"READ READ" He shook his head like he didn't understand. I swallowed again, and pointed to myself, fear in my eyes.

Ancient blood? What the hell did that have to do with...
He looked at her, he remember one night as she held him tightly, she had told him of her past. She was an egyptian, it was in her blood.
Blood.
Blore took her gently in his arms, hugging her. He put her head on his shoulder, that special little spot where everything aligns up, and it made them both feel a little better.
He placed his hand on her head, petting her hair.
"Shhh, there, it's ok."
Blore looked at her seriously. As seriously as he had ever done in his entire life.
"It's up to you. It's all up to you, you know that. You give me the word and we will leave this place right now. No more curses, no more water, no more anything, just you and me."
Did he just say her and him? He still didn't feel that way did he? She was feeling vulnerably at the time, he knew she needed comfort.
"Just say the word," he said again. His eyes searched hers for an answer.

LAVA

I looked up, deep within the tomb a cold frigid, extremely ancient wind ruffled my hair. The stagnant smell of decay and...a voice seemed to ne carried with it, yet the smell was familiar.

I stared into Blore's eyes, how many nights had I spent with him, years ago...whether in bed...or plotting this journey. I reached up and put my hand to his cheek. Him and I? I bit my lower lip. I glanced between Blore and Vincent, Vincent's cold steely eyes staring with obvious resentment.

A deep rumble came within the tomb. THe darkness was enveloping everything beyond the two stone lions.

The ground and everything was silent all of a sudden, then a long whip like object flowed beneath the sand, coming from within the tomb, it knocked me off my feet and away from Blore. I landed with a thud. It began to circle me, my eyes wide.

Blore looked at her. What the hell was happening?
It was taking her thats what was happening. He knew this was a mistake.
He turned around to the rest of the group. The rest of them had left, flead from whatever was inside there. Only the four of them were left.
"Vincent, get her out of there," he ran back to camp. He grabbed his camels and quickly unfolded his pack. Inside two shotguns stared back at him. He quickly flew them over his shoulders, keeping the straps tight. He belted the sixshooters on his hips, one on each side. Then he took the free standing colt's putting one in the front and the other in the back.
Inside his shoes he placed two guns, small enough only to carry two bullets each, but every little thing helped. He also got out an ammo pack, placing it over his chest. He placed a long dagger in there as well.
Shit his sword. He had forgotten.
He took out the sheat of his longsword, and placed it on his back. He strapped it gracefully, making sure he could easily reach it from behind.
Quickly he got two more guns, six shooters. He placed them on the table and turned the pack around, revealing a strip along the middle. He pulled.
What came out was a black tenchcoat. Blore placed it over his shoulders, making sure he found all the secret pockest and things were in tact.
Running back, he handed the two guns to Violet and Bobby.
Vincent and Lava were gone.
The empty hole gaped back at them. Threatening, but also inviting.
"Anyone want to go treasure hunting?" he asked, taking a step towards the entrance.

Vincent

I had pulled out my machety and hacked at whatever it was, wrapping my arm around Lava and lifting her up in my arms, i ran back. I forgot to tell him about my guns, I looked back over at Violet and told her "tell Blore that i have guns in my pack as well if he needs them, i have some with me as it is, i will be fine." i ran back with Lava, "so...where to?" i said to Lava as i ran away from the tomb with her in my arms.

Ooc: Wait, wasn't the whole point of this to get Lava inside the tomb? Now we have no reason to go in there.

Brief commercial...

(OKKKKKKKKK QUICK FIX....dirk was just at tad confused...though vcr's weren't invented, please read on...)

REWIND.........what actually happened.........
Blore did a great leap towards Lava, her hand was outstretched, her chin trembling, Lava was never scared, but fear...was all she had at the moment. Suddenly the thing whirled faster and faster around her. The ground began to fall beneath her, on her knees, Vincent tumbled next to her, Knowing the fall was unavoidable, he took her closely in his arms and held her head protectively. Then they fell into the darkness. No light could be found, or could be lit.

(ussually I don't edit people's posts...but.....this is about to get to the good ole spooky stuff...mysteries...creative writing...spells....think evil...)

LAVA:

I couldn't believe it, as I saw Blore running to get help. Vincent lept towards me under Blore's instructions. We fell. Enveloped in darkness, the breath was literally sucked from our bodies. That is when I drempt:
There, in front of me stood a lady, adorned in the whitest of white robes, silk, gilded at the seams, and adorned in jewels of red. Ivory, pearls, gold...Her name...Sopholoti, Pharoah Sopholoti. The glowing lava amulet at her throat (if you don't remember this amulet, it was mentioned in page one or two). She leaned her head back, a synister laugh escaped her throat. That is when she was dragged away and buried, alive. Then it was me who was buried, struggling, the wooden coffin not budging, my screams. The blood, I was then standing in front of myself, who was reading those words, the words taht started this all. I returned to the tomb, the sarcophagus opened, Sopholoti emerged, amulet at her neck, revenge in her eyes, she chanted, her believers emerged from their tombs in the walls. She walked to me. "I shall live."

Then I awoke.

Vincent

OOC...sorry, i guess i was confused like...my bad, thanks for the quick fix lava.

IC: I slowly awoke, i looked over seeing lava right next to me, i got up and cralwed quickly to her. "Lava......" i said slowly shaking her, no...no...she couldn't be dead...then she slowly awoke "LAVA! you are ok!" i exclaimed with relief.
