Why do you care?
It's a pretty big deal. Post-Christian America, that's like, a whole new cultural paradigm. Christianity has shaped everything about our culture since colonial times.
I think this sentence sums up exactly what the problem is with Christianity in America.
People see right through the hypocrisy. They read the words of Jesus, and what the Bible depicts is a man telling people to love each other, treat each other fairly, scorn the soulless pursuit of wealth at all costs, care for the poor and sick, and be kind to each other, not to lie, steal, or covet, and NOT to hate thy neighbor because of his chosen love interest or nationality.
Then they hear self-described Christians, who claim this is all "Woke, Socialist, Marxist trash." What Jesus Himself taught us to do, what he taught us to be- they claim is "Woke, socialist marxist trash."
It's hypocrisy.
Many early Christian leaders were women, but modern Christianity says to treat women as little more than breeding stock.
If Joseph and Mary were to come to America today, ICE would round them up, rough them up and throw them in jail... and modern Christians would cheer, just like the fucking Romans at the crucifixion.
It's hypocrisy.... and more and more people are seeing right through it.
For Christianity to revive itself in America, it needs to embrace TRUE Christian values, beyond just "No Abortions, No Gays." It needs to re-embrace the values taught by it's founder, in other words- charity, compassion, faith, goodness and honesty- and turn it's back on what it has come to mean in today's America.
Or more and more people will see right through the hypocrisy, and it will die.

Or maybe not. The doctrinal message of Christianity -- what Christians are supposed to believe -- is complicated. It is complicated enough to have given rise to variant interpretations, heresies, schisms, even wars, But the ethical message of Christianity -- what Christians are supposed to do -- is simple: Love God, love your neighbor -- your neighbor being anybody and everybody who is not you. That's not EASY -- people are so inventive at coming up with reasons to hate them -- but it is simple. And there is no third thing. Just deal with everybody as if you love them.

As a matter of fact there is something of an Orthodox revival going on.
But it won't be enough to save the Christian faith in America.

Paying the jizya didn't protect Jews living in Muslim countries from suffering from periodic massacres. While the Nazis were running death camps in Poland, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was killing Jews on a smaller scale.

Republicans are betting the midterms on mass conversions that aren't happening
But none of that seems to register with MAGA leadership right now. They’ve convinced themselves — or at least are trying to persuade their donors and followers — that the U.S. is undergoing a massive religious revival. Right-wing media has been pushing the view that huge numbers of Americans, especially young Americans, are converting to fundamentalist Christianity. The hype at AmericaFest suggests they are pinning their hopes on this imaginary religious awakening to deliver big wins to the Republicans in November’s elections.
As my colleague Russell Payne and I reported on in November for Salon’s “Standing Room Only,” Fox News in particular has been running a number of stories claiming a “Charlie Kirk effect” — that the MAGA influencer’s killing in September led to a tidal wave of Americans, especially young Americans, discovering or returning to Christianity.
Since then, there’s been a constant drumbeat of similar claims from right-wing media. “Gen Z embracing faith as more young people return to religion,” Fox News declared again on Dec. 21. NewsNation ran a new year segment that reported a “religious revival” was taking place among the young. This follows many similar segments from both channels dating back months, all swearing to their largely elderly audience that the Zoomers are flooding church services, despite what they may be seeing at their own local congregation. Conservative ministers keep insisting on social media that waves of young people are converting, even as no such numbers show up in surveys with more rigorous research methods.
Much of AmericaFest was also devoted to propping up the narrative that young adults are giving up sex and secularism for Christian nationalism in record numbers. Anti-trans activist Riley Gaines, 25, spoke about how Christianity calls on women to “Get married, have babies, have as many as you can and as early in your married life as you can.” Pastor Keenan Clark, 30, preached, “If you have not submitted to the lordship of Jesus Christ, though you were a conservative, you will find yourself in the bowels of a devil’s hell.” Angela Halili, 29, and Arielle Reitsma, 36, hosts of the “Girls Gone Bible” podcast, preached about saving sex for marriage because “sexual immorality is the only sin that you commit against your own body.”
The presence of Halili and Reitsma is a big clue that this Christian hype may be rooted in something other than an outpouring of faith. As I reported last year, there’s overwhelming evidence that the two podcast hosts were working as poker girls — women who make money at underground poker games by offering flirting and often much more to male players — while launching a Christian channel devoted to preaching the virtues of chastity to young women. Whatever they personally believe, their entire endeavor is rooted in dishonesty, a sin the Bible tends to have more to say about than sexual “immorality.”
There is no evidence-based reason to believe there’s a religious revival among the young that is about to create massive election windfalls for Republicans. On the contrary, a December report from Pew Research found that, “On average, young adults remain much less religious than older Americans. Today’s young adults also are less religious than young people were a decade ago.”

They won't be traditionally religious. Economic policy is another matter. The political implication is that SOCIAL conservatism is doomed.
But they won't keep the faith. Peer pressure.
If what you say is true, then this also applies to followers of people like Charlie Kirk, who think women should be subservient to their husbands, not hold jobs or have careers, not be allowed to vote, and be basically nothing more than breeding stock, baby factories, the white children being produced being more valuable than the women who carries them in their womb.
Charlie Kirk had no love for ISIS, Hamas, the Taliban, or the Muslim brotherhood, by the way, but yet... his views on women were alarmingly similar. Surely that much, at least, should be obvious (even to you.)
Thankfully, most Western women do NOT want this, and as of Jan 22, are still allowed to vote.
