The Irish Bar!!!

There aren't too many Brits posting in this corner of the BB... me and Trixers would be about it... and she is temp offline. But it was noticeable in the Chat room that there was a reasonable slew of Brits around... but then that's time zones for you... later in the day I am sure the Canadians were out in force too.

With ya on 5 hrs time diff. I can see the drop off in Brits as the day here grows long. There seems to be quite a few Aussies on the net, a few kiwis. That's where the time diff. really kicks in. I've seen a few South Africans around. I might have to drop in the lit chat again sometime. Went there some time ago.

yep.. born and reared in Ireland.... in Dublin.

*sipping a cool soda*!

That is so cool Sao.....Dublin is a beautiful city from the books I've seen....but such sad memories for a city...

I bet you have red hair and blue eyes.....mines brown and brown eyes....but my mom was a redhead...she was beautiful and looked Irish....

I hope someday you and your husband can make it back to NY...I'm hoping I get back there also.....just to much to see and do in a week....

:rose: :rose: :rose:

*slipping off my stool to serve Paul and Red*

Laughing... I am not a stereo-typical Irish colleen.... I do have fair skin and blue eyes.... but my hair is dark brown!!!

New York was one of the best holidays we have had..... such a buzz.... and it is everything and more that I imagined it to be.

You ever been to Ireland Red or Paul?

Nope, unfortunately; the parents went and left me behind!

The big draw around here is NYC and Atlantic City (casinos), since they are close by car or bus.

(taking a sip of Sao's finest)

The lady I know who goes to Ireland every other year has family she can stay with. Makes it more reasonable.

Well sweetheart.....as one Irishman says to one Irish lass....there never was a woman more beautiful than in Ireland....regardless of the color of her hair....:)

I enjoyed the city at night the most...it becomes a living mass of lights, Taxis and people....we watched a commerical being filmed right in time square one night......:rose:

I loved my one trip to the USA, which was about 10 years ago now. Must do Canada at some point too... but travel priorities in the next year or so might be skewed in a particular direction.
