Not only is Big Love back on the air, but they're re-airing the first 3 episodes of the season, which I had missed! I downloaded them LAST NIGHT but now they're on TV tonight so I am watching them there instead. Woo hoo!

So, Queensland got hammered by some floods, and then Victoria.

Last night a Category 5 cyclone hit Qld as well. A monster of a fucking thing, as exhibited in this article.

So far, no reports of life lost, or serious injury, but the property destruction is massive. There is, however, fears for some people in the hardest hit areas who didn't evacuate.

This whole thing annoyed me a little this morning though. I was reading the paper, and read an article about people who were calling the emergency services during the middle of it, wanting help, wanting to be evacuated. WANTING PEOPLE TO GO OUT INTO A CYCLONE AND SAVE THEIR SORRY ASSES BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LISTEN AND NOW THEY REGRET IT. Gah, seriously people, they tracked this thing in for days before it made landfall. You were warned. You were told to evacuate. It's not like it caught you by surprise, and yet you expect people to risk life and limb to come to your aid? Sheesh.

I'm glad the emergency services people said no.

Everyone else in the region, I feel so sorry for.

Theres ALWAYS some stupid people who refuse to leave their houses even if they are warned things can get real bad. And then they cry and beg for help when it can cost life them and the emergency guys too.
