The Isolated Blurt BDSM Thread

Damn it. Considering I've just popped back into the thread, after a month's absence, I'm worried, although the frequency doesn't describe me (I don't think).

NOT you, dearheart. Let's just say this tripewagon is one DUI away from being socially relevant to the Jersey Shore cast and has no business being here.

This is so not a conversation to try and follow before coffee. And staring at the computer screen for a full minute trying to figure out what kind of fetish a 'trumps kink' is should have been the hint.

Pardon me while I go mainline some coffee now.

ETA:
And will someone tell me who the hell you're talking about?

ETA2:
Oooohh. Ok, so will someone confirm my suspicions of who you're talking about?

ETA3:
Can anyone explain how someone can be a good PYL but a crappy kind of person? Because that's really starting to confuse me.

everytime I think of summat to say, it seems stupid, so I hit the 'back' button and go away again.

Why? I say stupid stuff all of the time.

Well at least I'm sure some think it's stupid, others will take it as sage advice. You never know what some one might take from your stupid random thoughts.

^That, Molly, my dear. No one can say the perfect thing all the time. And one of the wisest bits of advice I've ever been given about conversations/discussions was "take what you need and leave the rest." Or "take what you need and file the rest of it in the storage shed out back for future reference," as a friend of mine is fond of saying.

Either way, everyone has their "dumb moments." Some of us (like myself) have more than our fair share of "dumb moments." That doesn't mean that we don't like to hear from perfectly lovely, gorgeous, redheaded women who live in the UK.

I am being exposed to The Backyardigans for the first time... I am starting to regret getting the children a TV for Christmas; my masochism has found it's limit.

(Christonacupcake is ALL children's programming this vapid and inane?)

How old are they (the kids, not the BYs)?

Errr...if I'm not being too nosy- I mean little kids' programming is outright atrocious.

ETA: My writing skills are out for the night. WTF?

Yes. Though I have learned to appreciate The Upside Down Show. It, at least, has a tinge of decent British humor. And on a side note, be happy it's The Backyardigans instead of some brain rot on Disney.

My Blurt:
There should be some kind of law that says you can't be nice if you insist on acting like an absolute fucking prick. It's like a moth being drawn to a fucking flame - which is not approved fire play for me.

I've never seen this program (should I spell it "programme," since it's at least partially Canadian?), but the Wikipedia description makes me shudder.

As for your question, it probably is, since "vapid and inane" is unlikely to upset the radical religious rightniks who can mobilize their millions of minions and boycott advertisers, etc., unlike the intelligent (that would be you, dear!) who (a) seldom watch this kind of crap, and (b) would rather just turn it off than put a lot of effort into protesting it, since that IS the intelligent response.

I have the youngest two this weekend - The Syrup Liberator is almost 9 (he's less interested in the show); the shortest of the short humans is 6 ½..

It is common for 4 out of 5 of my children to say things like :Why are all tween/teen Disney shows full of idiotic, rude, sarcastic twits?" The odd one out secretly admits she only pretends to like Hanna Montana/et al to drive her sister batty. LOL

I know it could be worse... it's just that the last time I had a television (6-7 years ago), I kept it tuned to PBS. Which meant things like The Magic School Bus or Arthur. And even then I banned the brain killing PBS programming like Telletubbites or Barney.
