I miss Japan so much. I talk about Japan from time to time, but tonight I mentioned to my wife that I actually think about it every day. She said well, maybe you should think about going back there, teach for a year. There's already a program in which I could teach: the Japan ASL Signers Society hires American teachers for 1-2 year stints to teach sign language classes. I met the current teacher when I was there, and he's extended his job until early 2012, so that would probably be the earliest I would go. But I just miss Japan tremendously...

I'm already looking at guest house websites and figuring out "hmm, which is closest to rida, and can I afford it?" LOL

*grin*

*starts planning the fun*

:D

Sometimes I wonder if being a support is more detrimental than not. And when it will become more detrimental than not. Then I wonder if that level of loyalty will ever die.

LOL - When it pronounced that I was a chinchilla the other half misheard and said I'd be a Doberman. I mentioned the conversation to a friend who said no, if I were a dog I'd be a German Shepard. On my way home today I decided that I wouldn't be any of those. If I were a dog I would be a Chow. Soft and cuddly, but with the tendency to be very patient and absolutely silent till the person threatening my owner was close enough to rip their throat out with my teeth. Maybe my other friend is on a better track than anyone when saying I wouldn't be a dog, I'd be a tiger - and god help the one who threatens what I consider mine.

Yeah. The collar may have been symbolic but the loyalty and commitment were true to my very core. Even when I didn't want them to be.

I think I'm very, very tired tonight.
:rose:

I cannot be the only person who gets wet shopping at home improvement stores.
Nope. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets odd looks for fondling the rope and chain.

My Blurt:
I don't know what the intent was behind it, but it's only served to make me very, very tired. And to highlight the reasons why staying away from certain events is a good idea for now.

American strip clubs with 8 international students ( 4 Ecuadorians, 1 Korean, and three Chinese students) is full of win!

It gets harder and harder to say goodbye each time.

I know this feeling, Lizzie. *hugs*

For me saying goodbye is easier when leave than when he leaves. There's something about that train ride that makes the transition easier to deal with, but when he's been with me and then leaves, I absolutely shatter. My home feels too empty. That's why his visits to my direction are very few and far between these days.

13 weeks until I'm with him for the summer, after the summer it's only six more months until I'm with him for good.

Agreed. It's easier when we've been away together.

It wasn't even so bad when I left home and he was still there, but when he's the one to go... berk.

The feelings get bigger, instead of levelling out as time goes by. I think he's the one.

I'm glad that I know enough respectful and intelligent young people that I am not tempted to judge the twenty-something crowd by the douchebags who live below me.

Bad news is - after a frustrating weekend wherein the police had to be involved - we know that we absolutely must move.

Good news is the downstairs douchebags are going to recieve an eviction notice soon.

"You've never been 23."

No, I've been 23, I just wasn't an asshole when I was 23. The two do not have to go together, idiot.

Is it in slow motion?
If so, do I have time to go make popcorn?!

Dude! You totally have to hold out for the Director's Cut.

An additional 16,000 unreleased hours, actors' commentaries, interviews, early storyboards, special features, and some HOT Twinkie-on-Girl action! :D

*coughs*

Fricking sadists...

Excuse me. Can you please take that in another room? I am trying to watch this!

In Esperanto this time. It's a completely different experience, with increased pathos and subtlety.

I'm sorry for coughing. If it helps, I'm trying to find someone to play doctor with on a thread over on Fet.

Speaking of which, you should go see the new addition to my Fet profile.
*bats eyelashes*

Which one? I like ALL of them! Do you mean the bard-as-poetic-justice one?

Every so often [frequently] I read stuff at Fet that makes me think "What the bloody FUCK are you people doing being in a relationship? Get some 'effing therapy already!" GAH!

There.

Much better.

I know.

And people there are much more supportive of the stupidity. It's bizarre.
