Are materials like leather string (like one might buy at a craft shop) safe for use in bondage? I can't imagine that they're particularly unsafe, but I was wondering.

No, I was more thinking of the leather "String" mostly because I have some laying around (was using it to fashion curtain ties) and i left the ropes at the boy's place. Well, except for the one that's presently functioning as a clothes line.

Wench brought up what I was mostly concerned about, and that's the ability to release knot it and, in other words, untie it with just my mouth. Since that does seem to be a problem, I'll just have to take down my clothesline next time

great! Just what I needed. The property manager came up with maintenance with a camera in her hand. She didn't say a word to me about it. Just kind of stood there and listened as the guy asked questions.

She didn't take any pictures. But it just spooked me a little. When the guys came buy the other day (I wasn't home) I had some dishes piled up, and there are boxes all over my apt (partly because I don't have much "storage furniture" and partly because I've been sorting and trying to downsize). I had given up on the dishes because my apt is too hot, but got to them last night when it was cooler.

I just wonder if she would have been taking pictures if I wasn't here, and how legal that would have been. I did give maintenance permission to enter, because I want my air fixed as quickly as possible, but she's not maintenance, and according to my lease, I get 24 hours notice before an inspection or they show the apt.

Shit with all of the empty apts in my building alone, you'd think they would just be thankful I'm here paying my rent every month.

ETA: Oh and I think I've hurt myself tidying up today. Because today I knew they would be here, where as the other days I didn't.

And I know I'm full of excuses, but the truth is I'm just as pissed at myself for letting things go this much as I am at the manager getting all sneaky sneaky.
