We're purchasing electricity from Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Mexico to try and avoid mandatory rolling blackouts, and there's talk of breaking the record (set in 1980) for the longest run of 100+ temperatures recorded - 42 days.

And it's only August 2nd.
