Everywhere. :)

I'm very shy and I find it difficult to connect with people that I don't know. A discussion board like this is very intimidating to me and it takes me about half an hour of doubting and editing before I even dare to post. I often end up feeling like the odd one out but I keep trying because I'd love to be able to participate in a community like this.

I will try to stick round. Thank you for the hug. :rose:

*hug*

You wouldn't know it from the posts on this board but I am at my core painfully shy. I got to the point where I was miserably lonely and decided to really change. I've worked on that a little bit every day for over two decades. Now people don't believe me when I mention the shyness. They seem to see me as outgoing, confident and in control. LMAO.

I understand about feeling intimidated by this board but we are all only human and really no one has to know you that well here. Why it's almost like talking to someone on an airplane that you will never see again except we all keep coming back here. You know how much easier it is sometimes to talk with a stranger and no someone you can impact so emotionally for vice versa?

Stick around, post a little and here is another *hug* just for you.

*smiles*

Why is it that really intelligent writing, more specifically an elegant turn of phrase, placed so perfectly within the boundaries of an otherwise ordinary sentence, gives me tingles?

Why? I suspect the answer is actually quite simple: you're one of that small minority of people that hungers for that sliver of wit which make an otherwise dreary day in this ocean of mediocrity palatable.

I just find it sexy that you use proper grammar, correct spelling, and complete sentences. (I hope you don't mind my serial comma!)

Would you belive I used to be a horrific typo queen, couldn't spell my way out of a paper bag (I started flunking spelling tests in the 4th grade), and was afraid of semi-colons until about two years ago?

(I still use too many commas, babble too much, and make mistakes more often than I should. )

I'm afraid of semi-colons as well. I think i skipped English class the day that was taught.

Try cataloguing rare books for a year; you either learn to use semi-colons properly, or you drown. LOL

WTF kind of jerk meets you for coffee, you talk, tease & put it all on the table
(wants monagomy, equal footing/playtime) then when you have an accident with a minivan, spent 9 hours in the hospital being x-rayed, poke & prodded, discharged into a friends care, slept till 5:30 pM & forgot her messenger auto boots when you log in after finally limped to the puter & when he IM's you asking for a rub down & a bj he can't understand why you "seem to have changed your mind" about being his sex slave (which wasn't the deal either) when you say NO I'M IN PAIN (he knew about the accident my g?f sent him an e-mail from MY addy... saved in the sent folder & he replied back.) & he getrs all snotty & pissed off...

like I don't count for shit if he's all horned up...

tough shit.

I use to say this daily...... sadly no more

It pleases my Master and makes him happy when I am patient.

I hate being the last person to reply in a thread. But even more than that I hate being the last person to reply in a forum.
