I am so tired of grouchy Atheists PMing me with angry messages about my Sig line.
Do you seriously get PMs from atheists about that?! For what it's worth, THIS atheist thinks it is funny, and I actually agree with it.

I have said many times that I am jealous of people who believe in God. I know belief in God is a comfort, an excuse, a level of security. There are many times when I wish I could blame God for something that I did wrong, or praise God for giving me help when I needed it, etc. I don't believe in God, so everything I do is up to me, but I don't think less of people who do believe. So yes, being "grateful with no one to thank" is a very real prospect for atheists. I think your sig quote is funny.

And by the way, even though I am an atheist, I still say "oh god oh god!" during sex! ;)

It makes me really sad that people exist in the world who would steal a rainbow ribbon magnet off a car. Normally when I park in the public garage to go to New York for the weekend, I take it off and put it in the trunk. I don't think I did that this time, and it doesn't appear to be in the trunk, so I am pretty sure it was stolen. I don't think anybody would steal a "Support Our Troops" magnet, but people who hate gay people evidently feel justified in stealing a rainbow magnet. I am hoping it was a gay person who coveted it so much they had to take it, but that seems unlikely.

Depending upon how dirty your car was, those magnets sometimes blow off. We lost one while driving.

I'm sorry someone stole your rainbow magnet - somehow that seems like more of a violation than had they stolen a "Support Our Troops" one. I don't know why but this reminded me of this meter-reader in the area where I live who I swear was homophobic. When s/he was working (it was always the same "badge #" and always happened on the same mornings), and I would come out in the early morning, my car would be the only one that was ticketed. This ONLY began happening after I put a rainbow sticker on my car. It was late enought that the meters were in effect, however the meter people usually won't ticket before 9 am in semi-residential neighborhoods...

 Neon

P.S., Wiggles toes for KC ;)

Actually they do steal those. I've gone through two - I won't buy them anymore.

Thank you both for restoring my faith :) in atheists.

It's nice to know that you guys got a sense of humor too.

And yes, I get angry PMs about that sig line about twice or three times a month.
