Distance still licks balls. Right now (10:30 at night) I should be either in the pool with J, sitting beside the pool with our tea and my feet in his lap, giving him a foot rub while we talk about our day, or watching him decide which ropes he wants to use tonight. Same here. B. drives a very common American car, and every time any of my friends and I see a car like his, we always threaten to run over it, just in case it's him. "Oh, look, it's a silver _____," is usually uttered at least three or four times every time we go somewhere, even if it's just a mile or two up the road. He enjoys the rather creative insults I come up with sometimes, and when we're together we trade them back and forth.

Right now, I'm just wishing his fat, obnoxious ass would get online and talk to me.

I live 18 hours from Raven, if traveling by car. Thankfully, only 6 hours by plane ... and no customs to deal with ... unless you count the culture shock of going from Mississippi to New York

This was why I was surprised she was complaining about, what was it, 7 hours? It takes me over 13 hours (flying), going through US, Canadian & English customs, and another hour of driving just to get to Him. If I offended anyone, I apologize. I was just wishing that He lived within 7 hours. I'd get to see him so much more than I do now. I miss him so. (((hugs everyone in an LDR - because it's hard!)))

On a college student's budget, 7 hours may as well be a solar system away. I have a hard enough time finding the time and the gas money to drive an hour and 45 minutes to go see B.

I go to bed at 11, a reasonable hour, do my customary 30 minutes of reading, turn out the light, and stare at the blackness of night, my mind having absolutely no intention of shutting down and going to sleep. 45 minutes of that is enough. Work for a while. This case is boring enough that the Judge is already snoring - maybe I will, too. 40 minutes later... bleah... not a chance. Okay, griping/blurting/ranting done, back to work until the freakin' sleeping pill (which I hate to take because it makes me groggy/bleary-minded until mid-afternoon the next day) starts working. the trip I'm planing is an 8 hour flight after a 6 hour drive to chicago. Or I could fly locally and it's I think an hour or two to chicago and then a long ass lay over, not to mention even with gas prices I save $200 by driving directly to chicago.
