In Flor-freakin'-ida our heat index was 104 with heat advisories to stay indoors. :(

Great weather we're having ain't it though? They said on the news this morning to expect H.I.'s of near 105 to 108 today... WTF??? This isn't the desert, it's the damn mountains for goodness sakes! :rolleyes:

At least Daddy's coming home today, so I won't care about staying inside. ;) :D
 
We're supposed to hit 100 today, with a heat advisory to say inside from 10am - 8pm. I've cut my walking back from 7½ miles a day to 5, because an hour and 15 minutes going full steam in this heat is just about enough for me. :(
 
All I can say is that this is one weekend when I'm quite glad that my golf game isn't good enough for the pro tour. Imagine having to compete at the highest level in temperatures over 100 F - for four or more hours each day. To schedule a major tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma in August is never smart and this year is no exception.

Noon-thirty, 89 + 55% humidity for a H.I. of 96; temp supposed to go up another 9 degrees to 98... if the H.I. increase stays the same, would that be 105? :eek: Am I gonna have to move further up in the mountains?

Note: Temp in Tampa right now is also 89, w/ 52% humidity, for H.I. of 95. So it is less humid and feels cooler in Flor-freakin'-ida than it does in the foothills of the East Tennessee mountains... what's up with that?

With the heat index it is supposed to equivlent to 114 degrees.. UGH can I live and work from the pool? LOL
